Football Fantasy Draft

Edited Rules:

* There are 16 members participating in this competition.
* The aim of the game is to select a team of 11 players born before the 5th Feb 1985
* The participants will each take turns to select one player in ascending order (Participant 1 will select first, followed by Participant 2, then Partipant 3 etc.).
* Once the first round of the draft is complete (all 16 participants have chosen a player), the second round begins. It operates the same as the first draft, except this time in descending order (Participant 16 picks first, Participant 15 picks second, etc.). This is to ensure that those towards the end of the list get fair picks.
* Once you have posted your selection for any particular round of the draft, it is up to you to PM the person who is next in line to inform them that they are now allowed to make their choice. Remember the participants on either side of you, as these are the only 2 participants you will have to PM for the duration of the competition.
* You have 12 hours to post your selection. If you cannot make your post within 12 hours, the draft continues on as normal and it is up to you to post your selection at your earliest convenience.
* When selecting a player, it is important to remember that you are only picking them on their current form and age. Its important to consider yourself as the owner/manager of a club and not pick players nearing the end of their careers only. A bit of youth wouldn't be remiss.
* When posting your selection, please post a picture of the player. You must also include an explanation of why you picked this player.
* You may pick any formation you choose, however a realistic formation is recommended as your team will be going up against another team from the competition and the rest of RedCafe will vote as to who they think would win in a match between the two.
* Once the draft is complete, a new thread will be started where each participant gets on final chance to post their entire team, their tactics, why their team should win etc.
* The winner of a match up can pick a player from the losing team

thats a silly rule. it worked in u-23 as there were many unknown players on the teams, so teams in latter stages got a chance to replace them. But now u can pick all international superstars, just stick to your own teams u guys.

and why not expand the whole game? why not start with a group stage there each team plays oppenent once in a group of 4. and then 2 teams move on. Or we can do it in seasons. like after competition is over a team can pick 3 new players and reenter for new championship

or just have it as league. 16 teams playing vs each opponent 3 poits for a win. 1 for draw. team with most points wins. we can have like matchdays, say every thursday is game night and we start all 8 games at once. that say last for 2 days. when you get more than 4 days to prepare for next fixture. thats would be great and it only would take 15 matchdays to finish the league. or like 3 months.

dude just wanna make this game more enjoyable. let it evolve. I have a right to my opinion. you dont have to be the manager to speak up your mind about things. Ferguson doesnt say during press conference "all of you have who aint managing an EPL team can feck off"

The choices for older than Ronaldo isn't actually a lot more than younger than Messi. I guarantee you the teams will not be all filled with superstars.

It takes too long and most people will have a fair idea who has the better team anyway.
 
so lets have a group stage of 4 teams then. it wont take too long. not longer than draft itself. now its really bad format. Think about it 1 player is picked every 12 hours, u need to pick 16*11 players to fill the teams. it will take weeks if not months to finish it. But then 50% of players will get only 1 single game to play with their teams on current format. for all that had work he put in preparing his teams he may loose 21-20 and thats it. isnt harsh?

for some of you it seems the part of picking players is more fun than actual games itself... why else would you want after 2 months of drafting to settle the competition in 10 days? you guys probably enjoy summer tranfers windows more than football games also.

why not for once at least as an experiment try make this game about matches and not just about drafting.

he become a sub after torres arrive in january and thats how people will think of him. a fecking sub for torres. and knowing what a joke of a player torres is. getting his number 2 is probably the worst pick ever made. You are disgrace to this game and you shouldnt be allowed to play it.
