Football Betting Thread 2017/2018

Atalanta v Roma should be a good game, and I'd expect BTTS to land. 4/7 pre-game, will see how it looks in-play but barring an early goal I'll probably back that.

put the last £13 in my coral account on a Hudds\Chelsea double at just over 9/1
Back in the game

Have Bet365 changed the way they do these free bets? Put 100 quid into my account, bet 50 pre-match and then got a free £50 qualifying bet without needing to use the other 50. Actually helped since I could only spare £100, and I placed a £20 bet when Spurs equalised on 12 for a £50 profit (not quite the £100 profit but a win's a win).

Hajduk Split over 6.5 goals at 4/1, I'll have some of that. 3-0 away to Rudes at HT, who are down to nine men.

I put £20 on Chelsea right after they conceded the own goal!

Definitely wasn't a good idea, but I got lucky for once @17/2.

I only got a £5?? But that's probably because I haven't used them for months. I've become quite attached to the SkyBet platform recently with the weekly £5 free bets and the RequestABets. I'll probably go back to Bet365 for the parlay bonuses and when the basketball kicks in again.

Anyway, just stuck it on Spurs/BTTS pre-match. Will probably go for a 3-2 to Spurs in-play. It's only 5 quid so not fussed!

I think they are becoming much more targeted as loads of people, including me just used them for the bonus only.

City struggled past the Brighton parked buses, and you'd have to think Everton will be even more difficult tonight. Handicap looks solid on Everton, and a low scoring game. Under 3.5 goals the safe option at a very decent price.

Gone for a City 3-1 correct score. If Everton didn't have one eye on the Thursday game, I would have tipped them to get something out of this game.

Thinking two separate bets, since Bet365 won't let me do City and under 3.5

Under 3.5

Will do City in game if the odds are better after half time.

Over 1.5 goal kicks in first 10 minutes @ 2.25 in the City - Everton match. Usually it's around 1.57-1.77. Guardiola effect.

Took 3 minutes, thanks bet365.

Well done.

Rijeka are a nice catch tonight I think. Olympiakos were underwhelming in the first leg and Rijeka need a win to progress. Odds should be high.

Leicester have a weak side up against Sheff Utd. Vardy, Mahrez, Okazaki on the bench though. Might be a good bet in play.

Leicester almost at evens to beat Sheff Utd at half-time. Dominating the game. Worth a punt.

Also, Sevilla 0-1 down against Istanbul.

Istanbul still need to get another so they'll probably push forward in the second half, leaving gaps behind for Sevilla to counter. Draw is 3.20 at half time.

I didn't capitalize. Both scored together in a minute. :(

Ended up backing Sevilla at 2.60 after they scored (I thought they wouldn't go for the winner)

Then they scored, but luckily the turks equalized haha, offside goal too. Won back the stake I lost on Sunday.

Should have gone with my gut, same thing happened in the city game, wanted to do under 3.5 goals and bet in play during half time.

Still, good enough I guess.

fecking fulham. Needed BTTS in their game for a 71 quid return.

The last week and a half I have had 3 accas collapse over 1 result (Fulham tonight, Liverpool/Palace over 2.5 goals at the weekend, and Porto over 2.5 goals the week before).

Only lost a tenner across the three bets, but the potential profit so far would have been well over 300 quid already this season if those 3 had come in.

Time to have a look at tomorrows fixtures and go again....

I'd be interested in some of those if you don't mind.

Playing singles now but would have an occassional high return acca.

Tbh its never anything revolutionary, i just have a system and stick to it. I mostly play a 6 or 7 game acca, usually go for over/under on goals, or btts with the occasional result bet on there if its a pretty sure thing just to get the odds up a bit higher, so a small bet can still give a solid return (they usually creep up to 16/1 minimum

Tonight i had Leeds, West Brom, Crystal Palace all to win, btts in the Villa and Birmingham games, Over 2.5 goals in the Leicester game.... and then btts in the Fulham game.

At the weekend I went for over 2.5 goals in the Bayern game and the United game, under 3.5 goals in the Spurs Chelsea game, btts in the West Ham and City games... and then over 2.5 in the Liverpool/Palace game.

Ouch, that hurts.

Tomorrow I am going for a 5 game acca, dont fancy the european matches much (dont know nearly enough about european teams).

Newcastle vs Notts Forest, btts @4/6.

Newcastle need a win after 2 losses in their opening 2 games in the league, at home against championship oppo they should fancy their chances. But Forest are 4th in the championship and will also feel like they can win. Both times they played each other last season both teams scored.

Huddersfield to beat Rotherham @1/3.

Huddersfield 2 out of 2 in the PL, playing a team 15th in League 1. They should be playing with confidence and should win at home

Southampton vs Wolves btts @evens

Wolves are going well in the championship (they have scored in all of their games this season) Potential here for an upset, but wouldnt like to bet on a result so evens btts seems a safer bet (and has better odds than the over 2.5 goals which would have been my other option)

Blackburn vs Burnley over 2.5 goals @11/10

Blackburn have scored in all their games this season, and only kept 1 clean sheet so far. Burnley havent kept a clean sheet in their opening 2 games, but apart from that there isnt much to go on with them. I'm thinking with it being a derby the atmosphere will lift blackburn, but burnley wont want to be embarrassed by local rivals from 2 divisions below them.

Cheltenham vs West Ham over 2.5 goals @4/7

Over 2.5 goals has hit in 4/5 games for Cheltenham so far this season, and 2/2 for West Ham (over 3.5 goals has hit 2/2 for them actually ). West Ham need a win, Cheltenham are a League 2 side. I fancy West Ham to win, but never trust them to get me a result so prefer this bet as a safer option.

I got just under 14/1 on Paddy Power, but they all seem pretty safe bets. Use them at your own risk though, and dont blame me when all 5 lose

You should use a bookie that does acca insurance!

Nothing worthwhile in play so far. Sporting vs FCSB looks good for a second half bet, looks like it's going to finish in a draw, currently evens at half time. Look for price changes if FCSB score, Sporting look so much better.

Won 30 quid on an accumm..sporting. west ham. stoke. Copenhagen.

Tempted to put the 30 on a leeds win vs not forest and west ham win vs newcastle. Returns 244. What do people think

Donno about Leeds and Not Forrest (although Forrest played 120 minutes tonight so could be tired, I'd check which players played), but I'd stay very far from West Ham vs Newcastle

Newcastle badly need a point and West Ham are a shambles (Arnautovic is also suspended). It's either a West Ham win or Newcastle draw imo.

Sorry, know this is a football betting thread but anyone gonna be piling in on Mayweather? 1/4 is a crazy price for a guy who has won 49 fights against a guy who isn't a pro boxer.

I'm terrified that MAyweather might throw the fight so he can collect again in a rematch.
