Football Betting Thread 2017/2018

Hahaha great to know. Although to be fair they've bagged again, maybe I was onto something  if you want any advice in the women's games in the future don't be afraid to ask mate ;)

Haha, I'm on a good streak again thankfully. Once I have a week of bad variance I'll need all the advice I can get :smirk: My second best ever week so far. £3k off my best ever, hoping for a nice weekend to top it :)

Lyon - Monaco over 9.5 corners at 1.86 - going heavy for this one. Really think the line should be over 10.5 at the least.

Lyon get a lot of corners and go for it, especially now that Monaco are weaker and also have a few players out (Falcao, Fabinho). Monaco too likes a corner or too, especially when they go behind. See this as a game where there will always be attacking intent, good chance for corners. A bit like Roma - Napoli tomorrow, where the potential for like 20 corners is possible.

Had a few days off following a frustrating International break.

Looking forward to a few bets tomorrow. Fancy United, possible United Win BTTS and haven't looked at the rest of the schedule yet, will post my acca later.

Glad to hear it mate. I was on a terrible run as well and turned it around this past three weeks, feeling confident again now. Trouble with betting is for all the research in the world you still need luck. I put my winnings from Ita on Over 9 Goal Line at HT at evens as well, so got a fair of profit to play with today.

Anyone got any thoughts on Iran Under 17s? Seem to good value but my knowledge of the Under 17s is limited to say the least.

Expected to rotate heavily hence the price. Personally waiting for lineups. Value getting slim at this stage anyway, first two match days then the next group of games are best really. Iran are qualified already.

Keeping an eye on Leeds U23 in-play; if first 15 mins is good, I'll back them.

Going for Sheikh Jamal @ 1.57

Just went to get on this, 3-0 up after 29mins!

Was 5-0 up at h/t! Nice return for this.

Leeds dominating as expected but I wouldn't say they are playing well. If I can find value in a DNB somewhere, I'll do that.

EDIT: Sanat Naft look good value @ 1.90 in the Iran Pro League

Wow. Had Guangzhou Evergrande and over 3.5 there. They scored in the 88th min to take the lead 3-2, conceded 90th min 3-3 then scored the winner 93rd min 4-3. What a rollercoaster.

Al Fateh SC v Al Qadisya, 0-0 at HT. Expect over 1.5 goals, currently at 2.20. Not sure what I'm going to back yet, either that, Over 1 Goal Line, or Al Qadisya No Clean Sheet (4/5). Let's see how the second half starts.

Edit - Also going to watch Al Wasl v Al Wahda Abu Dhabi for first half goals. If it starts strongly I'll probably have a small dabble on BTTS in 1st half and wait to see if it's worth a bigger stake on Over 1 Goal Line or Over 0.5 FHG.

Both winners.

LeedsU23 got a late goal and Sanat Naft were comfortable throughout.

Keeping a very close eye on Dinamo Batumi @ 2.15. Will evaluate from 15-25mins to see if it's worth backing full time result, DNB, or not at all. - EDIT: This is too tight for me to call, gonna give it a miss.

2-1 to Al Fateh, played it safe and got on Qadisya No Clean Sheet at 11/10. Next bets on my radar:

BTTS at Dusiburg v Eintracht Braunschweig (just below evens at the moment)
NK Rudes to score (Evens)
BTTS at Al Wasl (6/4)

I've put the first two in a treble with over 1.5 at Al Wasl that pays about 6/1. Most confident with the first two.

Edit - No Dice with Rudes, BTTS at Al Wasl landed. Got on both in-play, better odds at Al Wasl but had more on Rudes so basically no gain. Over 1 Goal Line at Duisburg is 2.25, going to put a medium stake on that.

I had gone for Duisburg game too..over 1 goal.

No luck there and to top if all off Bet365 have robbed me of £90 the wankers. I was putting a £10 bet on using free credits, the app on my phone froze, I started clicking to try and get off, then it had added a selection to my bet and made the stake £100. I have no fecking clue how it managed this but there's no chance they'll void it. Pisstake.

Shit luck..
I am going big on Stuttgart 0.0 and Espanyol -0.5

Won't even have to wonder if Palace score or not as Bristol have failed to beat terrible Burton.

12 corners in the end

Putting serious thought into having my biggest bet of the year on Chelsea -1 tomorrow @ 5/4. Anyone going to talk me out of it?

NCAAF
Clemson -23.5 @1.8
Under 54.5 Washington State @ California @ 1.90

Argentina Premiera Divison
San Lorenzo @ 2.20

Japan J-League
Yokoham F-Marinos @ 1.75
Kawasaki Frontale @ 1.75

Palace are due a result, they can't keep up that sort of form with the team they have and they will beat someone very soon and start turning it round. Palace haven't had many internationals away during the break while Chelsea have, I think Morata and Kante are injured as well?

Away game, after internationals - two important players missing - I would not go too big. I have a relatively big stake on Chelsea, Spurs and City tomorrow - but no handicaps. Crystal Palace are awful and not necessarily due a result like someone else said, their problems are deep and their players are miserable. Imagine being in the shit and get grandpa Hodgson from the 80’s walking in the door. A bit like Granada last season when Tony Adams was hired, you just knew that was going to be a terrible appointment.

Roma - Napoli, 10.5+ corners - will go in heavy on that one for sure. Two teams that love corners and leave huge room on the side for the other to attack. If I could pick one game that would go 10+ over a season, this is the game. 1.86

Should have been at 11.5. Can never guarantee of course, but as long as this game is not decided after 20 min, should be a great chance for lots of corners

Saw this and got on San Lorenzo, nice one!

Shaw Lane Aquaforce. Won more league titles than Utd & City combined over the last 5 years. Btts 1st half 1/2pt. Btts 2nd half 1/2pt. Ov1.5tg Aqua 1/2pt. Btts 1pt. No goal scored after 10/15 mins over 0.5tg Aqua in play @1.65+ 3pts. Scooby.

If anyone is interested in the J2 League, I reckon Tokushima Vortis (decent attack but on a relatively poor form) will win Gifu (nothing to play for; conceded the most goals at home). I generally don't back away teams but this is worth a try

I'd wait until the line ups are announced (but not too long after that, as I'm sure you're aware the odds change a minute or two after line ups are announced). If Chelsea plays with a striker, place it - otherwise (e.g. if they play three midfielders up top) I wouldn't go big. Or at least place a reduced stake now and wait for the line ups to decide if you want to place a bigger bet. I agree the odds seem a decent value, and goal/win margins tend to be bigger after an international break from what I've observed over the past few years. Also if you end up betting, put something on Palace +2 if your bet is winning at any point (I fail to do that sometimes).

I put £100 on a long accumulator. If it's doesn't come off I am taking a 2-week break.

Charleroi
Nordsjaelland
Dortmund
St Etienne
Man City
Tottenham
Bayern
Trencin
Slovan Bratislava
Peterborough
Ajax

25/1.

Now waiting on Ajax to screw this by drawing 4-4 after leading 4-0 five minutes from time.

This did come good in the end. Always go with your gut lads.

Krasnodar U21 0.0, -0.5 looks good value at 1.7
