Football Betting Thread 2017/2018

Lyon women 6-0 up at HT. 21-0 shots and 8-0 corners. Medyk not been near their goal yet so BTTS no looks okay.
Crazy not taking the asian handicap at KO. Expected them to rest but basically full strength. I've slept 4 hours since Monday due to there being good fixtures on pretty much non stop, effecting my decision making.

Both won their games. Knew I should of got on La Nucia this morning at 2.3 but I bottled it and lo-and-behold, they win comfortably.

Nice :) Granada had me sweating on the corners too. I had over 9.5 then backed over 7 a bit later too, two in injury time to get the 10th :drool: Annoyingly I missed most of the games I picked, glad someone made some money from them all then!

Also cheers @Spiersey, created a BetFred account just to get on a double of Lyon to win to nil and Bayern to win. And nice picks @JonDahl again.

Nothing for me tonight. Paid some locals to go to the Bahrain cup games and get lineups for me, hoping something appears in one of those games. Will post tomorrow if i take anything.

Turned my £5 into £30.99.

released £25.

Turned the £5.99 into £14.38 on Real Zaragoza, then turned that into £50.72 on Atletico Paranaense to be winning at HT when they equalised after 33 minutes.

Released £40.

Got the £10.72 on a double for £38. Estudiantes Caracas and Tuxtla FC to both win.
 
Why are Nordsjaelland 1.90 to beat Randers on Saturday, am I missing something? They are top of the league while Randers are bottom.

I put them in my accumulator as the 'big odds' bet along with some other stuff. Also took Palace v Chelsea BTTS at 2.20, I know Palace have not scored in the league yet and are without strikers but they need to score at some point and it's a home game so maybe this is the time. Also spotted some nice bets in smaller league, like second placed Charleroi playing bottom Eupen at home are priced 1.62...

I went for:

Brondby to beat Silkeborg
Tottenham -1.5 against Bournemouth
Dortmund to beat Leipzig
Bristol to beat Burton
Nordsjaelland to beat Randers

I think it's a decent price. They probably won't score but at this price it's not unthinkable. Chelsea will almost certainly score in this game so I'm basically betting at 2.20 that so will Palace. Just a feeling that they will.

I think Chelsea HT Chelsea FT at 2.2 is a much better bet for that game
 
Fun Spanish acca today as there's no value anywhere. Xerex would have been a good shout today but some bookies have wised up to that one and suspended betting.

Some fairly good long terms bets to be had on NBA ahead of season:

Wizards to win their division @ 1.70

Their division consists of Miami, Charlotte, Orlando and Atlanta. Orlando and Atlanta are both utterly dreadful and have zero chance of getting more than 35 wins (even this would be an incredible achievement for them). Charlotte are decent but far worse than Washington, remains to be seen if and how much Howard improves them. Miami finished last season strong but they are still not really that great personnel wise. Dragic and Whiteside are both excellent but other than those two, they largely consist of players who overachieved last year (Waiters, Johnson) and players who are yet to show that they are good. Yes, they finished season 30-11 but they also went 11-30 before then. The only risk is that either Wall or Beal goes out injured for a longer period, they become a terrible team if that happens.

Pacers over 31.5 wins @ 1.90

They lost Paul George but half of the Eastern Conference lost everybody. They actually managed to improve in a few key areas with the acquisition of Oladipo, Collison and Bogdanovic and are a well balanced team. Myles Turner will have a great season. I think they could even make playoffs in a terrible Eastern Conference. IMO they won't tank.

LA Lakers under 33.5 wins @ 1.90

I don't get why anyone would expect them to win more than 33 games in a very strong Western Conference. They'll be playing majority of their games against West and not a chance that they have a stronger team than Pacers whose line is actually LOWER. Yes, they have no reason to tank this season but they also do not have quality to win games.

New York under 31.5 wins @ 1.90

The only risk here is that they don't really have experience in tanking, which is what they should absolutely be doing next season. Porzingis aside that team is completely void of any quality whatsoever. Their best playmaker is probably Jack, Hardaway Jr is fine but won't win them too many games and Porzingis seems a little disgruntled. They will suck big time on defence so it should quickly become clear that they are not making playoffs, opening door to tanking. As much as I don't like betting on under wins in a very poor Eastern Conference, this one looks fairly decent value to me.

Sacramento under 28.5 wins @ 1.90

The line here is baffling to say the least. Like Lakers, they will be playing in stacked Western Conference against teams much superior than them. Their best player is George Hill, they are full of young players who have not played together and most improtantly, they have all the reason in the world to tank now because 2018 is the only pick they will keep in the next two years and they absolutely need some top level talent to go with Fox and Hield. They should and will be dreadful and will also have a lot of incentive to lose on purpose.

QUESTION: Is there any bookmaker that will let me combine the above?
 
In-play Atletico Bembibre v Atletico Tordesillas, over 1.5 goals at 6/5, pretty confident it should land. Not backed it yet, going to wait five mins for a slightly better price or possibly wait for Over 1 Goal Line, can't see it finishing goalless at any rate and fully expect two goals.

Edit - ...and there are the two goals by 67 minutes, and with a missed penalty as well. First goal was too early though :( knew I shouldn't have risked waiting

Fancy Real Valladolid to score in the 2nd half, 4/7 at the moment. Will have to watch the game to decide as they scored just before HT, hoping they won't ease off too much though.

Motril v CD El Palo, second half just kicked off. If Over 1 Goal Line becomes available at at around 1.8 or above I'll take it. Expect two goals, should be at least one.

Edit - 0-2 in spite of another missed penalty by the 80th minute. Three in a row now. Next on my radar are Zalgris (8/13) and HJK (4/11) to score.

Edit 2 - No goal for Zalgris (small stake at 13/8), late goal for HJK (medium stake at 7/4).

Xerez cruised to victory - annoyed I didn't get a chance to back them.

Edit - They got the two goals I was expecting but didn't anticipate Oleiros scoring, pretty stupid in hindsight, Sporting over 3.5 goals would have been basically identical odds. I normally avoid results wherever possible as well :rolleyes:

@Spiersey Santa Fe women are playing Deportivo Ita, Santa Fe scored straight away, Deportivo Ita had a couple of shots straight after. The odds for them to score the next goal was 12/1 and I stuck £20 on it, and they just bagged :lol: I literally went only off the rball, but you have any idea why the odds were like this? I mean I was probably just an idiot and got lucky, but does seem to me like Bet365 shat themselves after the early goal and presumed Ita were useless.

You were an idiot who got lucky:lol:. I've been watching the game, just a total freak start for Ita. They've played a crazy high line, Santa Fe just cutting through at will. Can end like 9-1 if they don't drop back second half.
