FIRST NPOWER TEST, LORDS: ENGLAND v INDIA

A most disappointing morning session for India. Pathetic bowling and fielding all around. And Dhoni is still in the team. I'm seriously debating whether or not I should bother tuning in after lunch.

Fairweather!

I stayed up ever bloody night when we were getting battered in Australia :nono:

I was taunting you, you nutcase.

As in you're not hammering a weakened England side.

HA HA.

(ps have you seen Ichi the Killer?)

You've always had a naff bowling attack. Fantastic batting line ups, always shite on the bowling front, which why your record away from home has always been gay.

(oh and watch it - Ichi)

They can feck off with this bad light nonsense. We don't have enough play in England as it is with the rain and whatnot, needs to be a change because this is daft, we've lost an hour and a half of perfectly playable conditions. Batsmen have to fecking grow a pair of bollocks for these situations, and umpires stop offering it

England only have themselves to blame, if they stopped pissing about and didn't take the light, wouldn't have been all that on-off nonsense and even if they do lose 2 wickets tonight, they do it with an extra 80 on the board

Seems interestingly poised now after the late wickets.

On another ntoe, when was the last time India had a decent pair of new ball bowlers? The bowling with the new ball today was ameturish at best.

They only scored 268 in a day's play. I don't see how they have an extra 80.

England deciding to take the light lost them an hour and a half odd of play did it not? If they just stay out there and bat through, maybe they lose two wickets in the session like eventually they did, but they'd probably have scored 80odd runs more than we have in total now

I thought our education system was bad...

Would have been far easier to understand.

And no they wouldn't have because only 90 overs would have been played in any case and they did manage to get 80 overs at the end of the day.

I doubt they lost more than 5 overs anyway so at the end of the day they would have had only 5 more overs had they not gone off and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have scored another 80 runs in that period.

I stopped watching after the first bad light, I assumed we'd done for the day, didn't realise they managed to get so many overs in given the slow pace of overs earlier in the day. Maybe they only get an extra 30 runs in then, perhaps they don't lose those wickets. My point is that they should stop taking the fecking bad light whenever it's offered! Especially with a predicted wash out the next day, makes no sense at all. Do they want to win or not lose?

p.s made perfect sense anyway you idiot! :smirk:

Call him a nappy wearer.

What is with this fecking country. A summer would be nice. Can't recall a worse summer in my lifetime.

Fair enough, I was going to work the small penis angle, but nappy wearing is close enough

Mehro, you wear nappys still :nono:

I remember loads of rained out summers as a kid in Dale / Manc. Actually had a good run of clear, sometimes sunny, occasionally gorgeous summers recently

Well, I've lived here all my life. . . but this has to be the wettest summer ever. In fact I think it is according to record books. The Midlands have turned into a lake. Last year was very hot. . . I was thinking all this global warming could actually be at our benefit. Well this year we've seen it's bad side. Rain nonstop for 7 weeks.
