I actually think Ronaldo's injury has helped Portugal, there seems a more collective approach now. Everything is aimed at Ronaldo when he's on the pitch, it's so predictable.

I'm gonna stick my kneck out and say Portugal will win this, I think the goal will come from a set piece or it will be won on penalties.

He was never good enough for a club at least as big as ours being interested in him.

I don't want him back or anything like that but it really is more important what he did for us than the fact he left.
Otherwise you can already start liking Martial only under the condition he never leaves us and so on.

Football would not be enjoyable at all with so much bitterness especially towards players who contributed a lot to our club's successes.

Hi status shouldn't matter, he's a player like many others. I really wish he'd be fit to finish this match but I'm not going into sad poetry mode like many caftards weirdly do.

MCL is different though. If you tear it, you can still move on it, albiet it's uncomfortable and painful. ACL, you are fecked right away. MCL, since you tear one side, you can still wrap the knee and move around.

This could go to penos. Ronaldo is one of the games finest players, and a United legend to boot. It's a shame for him and for the final; most football supporters would probably agree on that. Would love to see him compete in this final at his majestic best, just as I was looking forward to magic from Griezemann or indeed Payet. I think Payet did go in too hard. Sorry it was him. French fans clapped Ronaldo off the pitch. The Caf can be a very sad place sometimes

Yeah. I didnt get why he needed 3 CDplayer/inputs and the effect-machine while he is playing one song.
To the game: France playing was filled with fouls the referee dont mind. Adding this to the stupid steal of the Island chant from France fans, iam pro Portugal.
 
You know a game's been bad when the highlights include a moth on Ronaldo's face, Mark Clattenberg comically signalling for a stetcher and Quaresma's hair.

Well believe me mate, it's strange but the pressure it's completely off now. Call it dramatic or demeaning of the other players but i think we have 1% chance now. France goal will be inevitable sooner or later

Come to think of it, both ACL and MCL were fecked that day without any tears (so so lucky I know). I still feel weird in my knee but I have healed without surgery, physical therapy and strengthtening quad muscles have made a huge difference.
 
Martial coming on is impossible but if it happened might cheer us up.
 
I'd consider getting Matiudi off and getting Martial/Coman on.

pressure being off could help. France will at some point commit to an all out attack, kinda like Germany did, and Nani can catch them out.

This is far from over. France haven't really shown much outside of Sissoko.

This can go to penalties, where France can choke.

The best chance of the game was for Nani which had no Ronaldo involvement at all. At the very least he's a fantastic decoy.

I feel sorry for him just like how I'd feel sorry for any players who are injured in a final but seeing posts like "I feel like crying with him" and posters who said they were 50/50 and now that Ronaldo has been injured, they wanna root for Portugal just come across as very childish and cringey. EMBARRASSING!
