Sanches is taking up dangerous positions on the edge of the box but can't get the pass back. Can see him bending one in soon.

Knew this would pop up soon. You do realise he's playing in his wrong position so he can't realise himself as he should.
He's playing in centre midfield is he not? And in probably the same role he'd play for us. Being over shadowed by Sissoko and Sanches.

I normally would want France to win, but after Payets dicking about I want Portugal to win.

It's hurting the Portuguese players when they're fairly tackled because they're used to diving to avoid them.

 Yes that's pretty funny. Give yourself an award for outstanding comedy

Your posts makes so much more sense now - you are still hurt by him leaving the club and have not yet got over it.

Yeah, that's it. It's me who is not his fan the one who is hurt, but people who are crying over him are not hurt.

I feel sorry for Ronaldo as I would feel sorry for any other player and this will sound harsh but Portuguese tasting their own medicine.
Although Payet tackle was fair. Hard but fair.

Renato Sanches is so similar to Anderson even in playing style. Loving these driving runs.

I find him so unlikable I can't understand how anyone can like him

It's also not unusual for fans to dislike ex players who wanted to leave...in fact it's the norm
He was always going to Madrid. Fergie said it was a matter of time and we did well to keep him for 6 years.

And is he really unlikable in real life? Or even amongst his teammates? Every manager/coach loves him because he works hard. I dont remember too many team mates complaining about him being a cnut.

Is it just that he doesnt pretend to be nice all the time and show his frustrations on the pitch?

He even hit the ball first, clean tackle. Don't really see him putting in weight either, he bounces of Ronaldo without fuzz.

Christiano's leg when the THUG Payet knees him.

I could never dislike Ronaldo. Without him we would not have won the Champions League, and Liverpool would have won the PL in 2009. And he didn't join a rival team in our league either.

€120m for Pogba, feck right off. Again he's happy to take a peripheral role instead of imposing himself on the game. I hate how his play style and body language is like that of a careless kid rather than a responsible grown man. He's not exactly Cantona, Keane or Zidane, and I doubt that he ever will be.

Your last lines tells me all i need to know on your opinion. More interested in the nonsense of your later argument of ronaldo having a poor tournament rather than the love of the sport which most people here can clearly feel.
Tell me your feelings man.

Absolutely agree with Randall on this one. I am grateful for the service he gave us, but thats it. Its a final lads, two teams playing not the Ronaldo show

Payet kneed Ronaldo mate. He has two legs, he can get the ball using one leg while injuring Ronaldo with the other. Hopefully he gets his just desserts soon. He deserved a yellow for that challenge.
My point was that I didn't think that part was intentional.

It would be a bit of a shame but not the "saddest thing in football". Having the kind of injury Luke Shaw had, a player from our own team, was a properly sad thing. Messi or Ronaldo getting injured for a final would be a shame but not that important for me as a United fan.

I didn't say the saddest. I said its one of the saddest sights in football. "one Of" come on. You just have to be a fan of football to feel sad about this happening. Put yourself in his shoes and we'd all be crying thats why its sad.

It's like people feel no emotion for others. Just because he's rich doesn't mean i cant feel and imagine his emotion.

@Sly I wonder how much Sporting's success this season has inspired the currently favoured Portugal XI. Seems to be the same midfield setup except Sanches instead of Bryan Ruiz.

I agree. All our best national teams had inspiration on a strong contingent from an in form club in that time. Our 66 team was influenced by Benfica's very good Euro team, our 2004 had Porto CL winner team inspiration and now this team is based on our midfield plus an in form Sanches.

Christiano's leg when the THUG Payet knees him.

that's an MCL sprain or tear.

I've had that. It's horrible. It feels like your leg is splitting in two: thigh going one way, shin the other. It's terrifying feeling.

I hope it's not a tear. Ronaldo is getting to the point where a year off could seriously leave him 1/2 the player he is.
