Gaming FIFA 23

Reached division 2 tonight and I have my strongest team yet heading into the WL. Had some awesome red picks and untradeable pack luck.

Starting 11:

5-1-2-2

GK- Maginan (best keeper I’ve used so far. He is broken)
RWB - Reece James (solid right back has double digit assists)
RCB- - VVD (best CB in the game bar none)
CB - Kimpembe (fits great in this string defence)
LCB- Tomori IF ( brilliant player)
LWB - Joao Cancelo IF (double digit assist, brilliant)

CDM - Tonali (solid player but he’s in for chemistry purposes)
RCM- Bernardo Silva (little magician, great player)
LCM - Renato Sanches OTW (he’s is broken. Nothing else to say. Best cm in the game)

ST- Darwin Nunez ( Best striker in the game for me. Clutch scorer and shows up in the big moments. 200 goals in 150 off games)

ST - Diogo Jota (just purchased him and he has 8 goals in 3 games. If that’s anything to go by he’s going to be brilliant.


Excited to try this team out in the upcoming weekend league.
 
Well another week of rival rewards and another week of not getting a player over 1k coins.

I have FIFA 22 for PS5 but don’t play that much, only an hour here and there to relax. I always play Utd seasons online, but I feel like 4 out of 5 matches are against PSG. Not kidding or exaggerating. Does anybody know if it’s better in 23?

Can't you use strict matchmaking settings and pick a lower rated team or national side?

Has anyone tried Frimpong IF, looks like a great build up player, but I'm worried about his defensive side and tiny body.

let the other player score first and then smash him for 2.
 
That objective has been fine for me so far, people don't seem to quit after 1-0. Annoyingly enough everyone has Cruyff for some reason so it's been pretty tough. Mostly good players seem to do the objective as well.
 
I've completed the objective this morning it took me 2 hours.

I don't know if I got lucky but barely anyone left after my first Dutch goal. Much less painful than I thought it'd be.

I can't for the life of me fit him in my squad though so it's bench player for me.

Holy moly...there's an amazing assortment of PSV cards this year. The silver stars Simons is absolutely mint btw.

It's a mixed bag like anything else. Half the community is petulant, half of em reasonable. Just gotta let it slide and move on.
 
Rank 2 in WL this weekend, think my best ever yet. Hope to get rank 1 at one point, my losses were quite unnecessary.
 
As ever EA are so generous to me, I swear my pack luck is just broke this year and not in a good way.

Did that Hero 87 max sbc. Only need an 85 ovr squad. Got Ricken......I traded a team full of 84 and Harry Kane for that SOB. Just once could they do me a favour

Feels almost exactly the same except a few new stupid cut scenes of the manager escorting players in or out of the club. But it is nice to throw AFC Richmond into the English tiers and work your way up.
 
I think I’m done with Ultimate Team already this year. Had incredible pack luck Mbappe, Marchisio, Vinicius (tradable), Courtois, Red Pick Donnoruma, Red pick Ben Yedder, Sane, Rulebreaker Zaha. Just been insane! I’ve never had a team this good, this early in fifa but the gameplay loop is just so repetitive. I just can’t bring myself to play the sheer amount of games needed to even get into weekend league any more. Shame as I have the foundations of my best ever team this year.
 
Finally. I finally got a great pull. Best I’ve ever packed. I was doing the odoi challenge in the objectives and just stocked the packs till I finished. Packed him in a 2 player pack. Just skipped the intro because I wasn’t expecting much. Dammit.

My pack luck this year has been atrocious, I laughed when my best pull in my WL rewards was Sancho x2. TOTW pack 80 overall as the best. Griezmann and some dutch 84-rated CM as my red picks. Don't know if it's worth it to keep playing as it isn't that fun coming up against the same players in every damn game.

Have about 300k coins but I'm doing a first owner only, and it sucks when I never pack anything good because it means I play with the same boring team for ages. Just a bit fed up of it at the moment.

But surely everyone understands that ‘pack luck’ is a nonsense and there’s a whole algorithm at work that is just designed to keep you playing?

Nothing is random, the whole ecosystem is rigged. From game matchmaking to cards to absolutely everything. It’s just money and engagement and it’s mad that people talk about the game in the way that they do.

It’s Facebook for gamers.
 
20-0 for the first time ever. Have waited on this moment for years, my best has been 17-3 for a long time, 18-2 last week, and now 20-0.

Nothing from packs though.

Road to glory as I bought the standard edition and have spent 0 real money on FUT.
 
My pack luck has been insane this week. Got Ronaldo 2 days ago and got OFP Hernandez tonight. Chucked 15 quid in and It was just the one pack I opened.

Gave up on it as was winning every game 8-2, 7-3 etc. on legendary straight from the get go. The game is broken until it gets patched (unless it has been since I last played it)

Yeah there are some things that have been broken for a while. At times it feels like the opposition AI goes into superman mode and no matter what i do i cant stop it scoring.
 
I know the game is transitioning to some ne EA sports version but outside of PES does anyone know if there are any potentially decent footy games coming soon?
 
Robertone, Kessie, De Jong or Llorente? Playing a 41212 (cm) form. Looking for a cm who's good with running back and knocking the player off the ball. I'm leaning towards Llorente because of his pace.

Opened 2 megapacks, a rare gold pack and one of those rare jumbo player packs and my highest pull was an 84, not a single special card. It's so much fun doing a 1st owner team this year.

That 85+ SBC is pretty fair isn't it? Got Marquinhos, so I guess I've been lucky, but integrating him into my team is a massive headache:

Love Gakpo, Bonucci is unethical, Geertruida is great too. Szczesny pretty good, Ikone has been growing on me, but would relace him with the Savio I have lying around. A bit undecided on De Jong, Bennacer (absolute nightmare chem-wise), Tonali. Muriel is nothing special and Wijndal is ok.

That leaves me with the following shell:
Marquinhos, Bonucci, Geertruida, Savio (Ikone)
