I have noticed that too, i though it was just my PS3 that has corrupt something in the game.
Been poor recently but then I switched my tactics to ultra defensive and it seems to be getting me results!
A lot have started doing that, i mentioned it a few weeks back that some guy basically had 5 defenders and 2 DMs then just 3 quick strikers and it worked a treat.
Gay way to play though.
I was still playing 442 with four defenders etc just the thing you can change it from normal/balanced to defensive or offensive part

My brother plays this way, so I've started to use A side with quick wingers and good posession.
Still to find that side.
posession is extremely underrated in fifa 09. the more you keep the ball the more openings you will se in the oppositions defence. it can look so simply when you play your way through a frustrated chasing opposition.
But it grinds my gears when people edit their tactics for high aggression defenders.
no problem with it, when they eventually miss their tackles, you will basically have a highway to goal.
I got raped in one of my games earlier, I was some lower league team playing against a team full of the worlds best players. People who do that are pathetic
I always offer international top class or lower league.
