Gaming Fifa 2009

People damn well better get it on the 360, because if I decide to get a 360 FIFA 2009 is the first game I'm getting. I haven't played FIFA on a console since FIFA 2001, so I'll need guidance :p

I've finally managed to displace Carrick in the first team on my BAP Season, after half a season playing left wing they're finally playing me CM

This game is actually brilliant. The player movement is spot on. Love the way the forwards run the channels or drop off to pick up the ball when you're controlling possesion. Also how you have to hit teams at pace and on the break to really open them up.

Passing's still not quite there though, and there's something a bit weird about the shooting

I guess I'll have to learn how to dribble again. I haven't had the game for console for about 7 years, as I mentioned earlier, so I've just had it for the PC, where dribbling is much less intuitive, if possible at all. So I've adapted a play style that is based around clever movement and through balls.

I've taken Berbatov's place in our side. The strikeforce of myself and Rooney will be a force for club and country.

Sounds like he created himself. That's definitely what I'll be doing on my first go.

I went for anderson, just felt like jumping straight into a game. Might stop after 1 season and start with someone new. This BAP mode is so good, I have only played as the whole team online!

Class game however i dont like the high through balls. Crossing is poor. Long passes also impossible to judge. Everything else, perfect. Except the players running styles.

I've discovered a fatal weakness with this game. Namely that in EVERY game you play, the computer will get a player sent off in the first half, and then just give up.

yip wellbeck did this for me too

next time I start a BAP I am going to create an 18 yr old version of me

How long did it take you guys to break in to the first team on this? I only played one reserve game and I was in

Thats bloody impressive, It took me about 9 or 10 games and I was playing well. Playing in the reserves is awesome with Rafael,Fabio,Welbeck,Possebon,Manucho etc. Its really good.

yeah i liked the reserves was quite fun and I felt more at home then with the first team.

However I've taken Carricks place in the team now and finally being played in CM instead of wide left, am doing well.

Its alright, quite realistic actually if you play Rooney and Tevez up front its almost impossible to score from a header but if you are a big lad who in real life is a great header of the ball like John Carew they are good at getting there heads on the end of crosses. Also I find you have to angle the crosses to the player you want it to go to, in previous games all you had to do was press cross and whola you have a goal.

I've only had a CPU opponent sent off twice and both times they stuck 10 men behind the ball and made it so much harder.

I don't think I took Carricks place in the team when I came into the team despite playing as a Centre Mid in the reserves the current team moved me out to left midfield, maybe because just before I came to the first team Giggsy was moved down to the reserves.

To be honest I have never seen a CPU player get sent-off in any of my matches. I did have Ferdinand sent off though even though I did not even touch the player because I went in 2 footed and the intent was there, very realistic.

only red card I have seen is Rooney in my second appearance in the first team, left me up front on my own

also poor Carlos, not made the first team alongside me yet, and O'Shea always comes on as captain in the second half

I played five games into a season on the hardest difficulty setting. I got slapped about by Arsenal, and in the other four games someone on the other team got themselves sent off before half time, and once I'd scored they all just collapsed. I beat Newcastle 6-0 at St James's Park.

Tearing someone apart online is a joy. Just beat Real Madrid 4 - 2 with Arsenal.

Was 4 - 0 up but he got 2 back at the end, my goals were wonderfully crafted, breakaway counter-attacks look great.

BAP online is full of cnuts, theres allways 1 player who chooses ANY position, and just plays with him self, always loses the ball, and fecks it up

The only improvement I can think of for Be a pro mode this year is, it would have been nice to have had some text-based contact with the management. It's fairly realistic that a young player coming through the reserves into the first team might be used out of position a few times.

But playing as Fabio, I had my first 3 or 4 games as a CB. Half a season gone, I've played left back, left wing and I'm a first team regular at right back (Poor G. Neville is making cameos coming on for Ferdinand) and a regular in the Brazil national team at CB.

It would have been nice if you could speak to the manager when he says he's playing you out of position and either accept or decline. Maybe if you decline, he'd drop you altogether or something. But at least you'd have a little bit more control over where your player will forge their career.

There is always room for improvement, they would probably consider those above points next year (maybe). ;)

Every single time I score a great goal

'EA Sports Football World Website is currently unavailable.'

How about they change 'currently' to 'constantly'.

fecking stupid.

Finished my first season with United as Possebon

Broke into the first team ahead of Carrick but then got shifted wide left again.
Scored 2 goals for the first team helping them to 1 - 0 wins both times. United finished 3rd.

Real Madrid and Napoli are interested in me but 'I stay'.
