Having played both demos, I've once again come to the conclusion that the XBox is fecking crap

Fifa's embarrassing, where as Pro Evo has gone backwards about four years. With Pro Evo, they've also used the "next gen" thing as an excuse to remove stuff from the game, no doubt so they can gradually put it back over the next two or three years. Bollocks to that.

Pro Evo 6 on the PS2 dicked all over Pro Evo 6 on the Xbox. There's no evidence here to suggest things will be any different this year

I just played FIFA 08 on PC and I must say I am really disappointed.

I am a Fifa fan and have never played PES.But Fifa is getting annoying and boring now.

Every single time they promise big changes but only make a few minor ones year after other.96 and 2000 were clearly the best Fifa versions.

Might as well try PES.

Weaste, do you have a PS3? I ask because I want to know how Ratchet and Clank is graphically. I'm a huge Jak & Daxter fan, and have dabbled with Ratchet & Clank. Games like that are what gaming is all about.

I've heard that graphically Ratchet and Clank looks just like a Pixar animation movie. It will be interesting to see if Weaste has any info.

my little brother got the ps3e version on release day, and promptly took it to his digs in birmingham the twat, he bought it down for the weekend, my initial thoughts when i played it on a standard-definition TV, were: it looks almost like a carbon copy of fifa 04, but with better graphics.

BUT when i dropped him off on sunday, and played it on his new HD-TV, my mind almost completely changed, to truly appreciate the power of the PS3 you simply HAVE to play it on a HD - one word: awesome...

however, i have a sneaky feeling that PES 2008 will be better (just)...

This new Fifa 08 is hard sometimes when You play on highest level of game and highest level of goalkeeper.

The keeper is very hard to beat.

I played some guy Man Utd (me) v Chelsea (him) on live beat him 2-1 all he kept saying was 'the refs a man yoo fan' like a complete gimp. Beat some Italian guy last night 5-1, United v Inter. Rooney with 4 of the goals, including a very nice solo effort and an awesome chip from 20 yards out in the 93rd minute.

Agree, its good. A bit slow at first, but you get used to it.

The white united shirt is unlockable in Fifa 08 as its this years 3rd shirt.

They was loads of screen shots floating around before the game was released of players in last seasons shirts. I think it was because EA didn't have the rights to the new shirts at the time the screenshots was made.

I've found if I swap Nani for Giggs and Saha for Tevez then my team 'feels' faster on the attack. Giggs is crap on it as well I've found.

Yeah, asked me to wipe it with a cloth/restart console. Did both and still didn't work. I'm sending it back.

I've also got Pro 6 on the 360 which I think is a good game.

Major improvements on Fifa:-
-Very hard to beat a man
-Wide range of skills (can even do kick ups in a match and then volley)
-Better passing
-Better flow to the game
-Better shooting
-Better keepers
-The game itself is very hard to play against

I'm not too impressed with the commentary but the be a pro mode is very good, especially if you play in midfield for me.

using xbox360. Also having trouble skipping past the last man and getting my shot away. Using manual shooting im fecking terrible and using semi im still a bit crap.

I just played Fifa 08 on Xbox 360 today, and it's like a totally different game to the PC version. The graphics are absolutely intense.

Been playing FIFA 08 on PS3 this weekend. I think the gameplay is difficult, but once you master it, its very rewarding.

IMHO, its miles better than PES6 on 360.

Im looking forward to PES2008, but its going to have to be good to beat FIFA.

Agreed....Beat something like 5 players with Ronaldo and scored....once you get used to timing the sprint he's one of the best.

Incidentally i played a game United v Roma at Old Trafford....Beat them 7-1 hehe coincidence? i think not!

As for the game, i like it better than previous ones and with HD the graffics are far better.

Just played it today and it's crap. Ronaldo doesn't feel like Ronaldo at all. Difficult to go past players even at the turn of speed.

Even PES 6 is way better than FIFA 08. Dribbling with Ronaldo is much more fun on PES. Hell, runnnig with Rooney and using his body strength is much more fun on PES
