I just had some guy quit on me after going 3 goals down and then he had the nerve to send me a message saying "u dont know how sad u r".

Finally bought Fifa, my first impressions (bear in mind I'm a huge pro evo fan)
*It is MUCH better than pro evo.
*It's a hell of a lot slower, and more difficult to get passes where you want them to go
*The stat keeping is immense. I mean they log every shot, tackle, win, loss, draw, possession stats.
* More realistic in the gameplay, for example a 4-0 win online vs someone is an achievement whereas on pro evo it's normality.
*Goalkeepers are alot better
*The skills are difficult to pull off
*The whole feel of the game with it being licensed, better player models, music etc just feels better
FOr example my first 3 results online pro evo were 4-1, 5-2 and 1-4 whereas on fifa my first three were 1-1, 2-2 and 2-1
On the whole I'd give PES this year a 4, and Fifa an 8/9

I ordered my copy on Friday, from play, still no bloody here, i like plays prices and there website but man there delivery is shite!
Don't get me started on Play. When I first ordered Fifa for XBOX clearly written on the statement as well, they sent me PS3 version. I send it back waste my money and they send me XBOX version and it didn't work so I said feck it and bought it from Sainsburys.
I've never had a problem with play deliveries. I added up how much i'd spent with them just recently on dvds/games/music and i'm almost up to a grand
fecking hell, some cnut playing as Chelsea just quit in the last minute, when I was 1-0 up, and I've just checked my online stats, and I didn't get the win, fecking wanker!!! Hope he dies.
This happens all to often, usually when you're winning by more than one goal. I'm now doing as Ret said and searching for games with people with low DNF %.
Just played a great match vs Chelsea. I was 1-0 down from the 8th minute, when SWP scored a lucky rebound. I then controlled the match, but just couldn't score, until the 89th minute with Saha, I then won the ball from Kick off, where I went down the other end, won a penalty in the 93rd minute, which Ronaldo duly converted.
Just played against a cnut that got a fluke goal against me in the first half, kept chasing until I finally got a goal in the 84th minute.
Then went on another attack with a couple of mins left and he went out with his keeper that I chipped over and when he tries to clear the ball on the line he ends up blasting it in his own net with full power

I've never really tried a chip. Two times I did it by accident and clipped the post/bar.

I find that alot of the players i play online opt to bring their keeper out when i get into one on one occasions. I use the chip option quite alot and if you get the timing right, all you have to do is tap circle and it pretty much always goes in.
Could someone tell me how to setup an online game between myself and a mate? Cheers.

Both of you go into one of the Online Lobbies, and you should be able to find each other. Then select his name and invite him to a match.
In what way? In game?
Do you expect every player to accelerate at about 40m/s squared like they do on Pro Evo?

It does it by searching skill levels, not points.
Hmm ok I checked my profile and it says most of my online opponents are four stars. Played my first 20 ranked matches now, 17 wins and 3 lost. I have noticed that almost no one uses their wingers, very weird.
What are you on Richter? PS3 or 360?

PS3. I enter my Fifa 08 profile and then my stats. Then my matches and then push square to show only online matches played.
I play on the PC version sometimes and generally think the crossing in from wide positions has gone a lot harder. The majority of the time I do it the keeper just runs out and catches it. Any further out than that and you are too far away from the goal. I do get it right sometimes though.
Is it just me or does the ball stay in the air quite a long time?
It stays in the air quite a while with some lofted through balls.
On the PS3 I usually score 1-2 goals every game by using low hard crosses. The defenders aren't even near the ball when Rooney/Tevez smacks it in.
I haven't really tried the low hard crosses, I assumed they were less accurate. I prefer to just simply pass from the wings or occasionally tap the through ball button. Usually reaches the intended target more often than not.
I have actually recently started to use that low crossing (never used it before) as it is much more effective than crossing it in the air. It is quicker which I think is the main reason. In the older Fifa 06 on the PC the crosses were a lot faster through the air and it made it a lot easier to score.
Incredible, everytime people notice that my fav team is United they pick Barca 9/10 times. I'm tired of playing the catalan cnuts ffs.
could someone please tell me where to go exactly on the 360 version to change the arena player. I can't seem to find it.
Its in the settings, took me a while to find it on the PS3 but i got it in the end, if no ones replied by the time i get home from work ill post the exact menu selection!
