You playing 424? You should try 4231, it’s a much better formation and will probably not leave you as exposed. I’d consider getting Son as well, he’s definitely better than your attackers bar Mbappe imo.

Nice team. I guess upgrades would be Courtois and players like Son and a better left back if you could sort out chemistry issues. Or you can just wait for Alonso to get upgraded, he’ll undoubtedly end up with an amazing card.
Not sure about Modric. He might be good for some people, but I’d probably look to replace him with someone better defensively or at shooting.
Alonso won't be going anywhere, his current 86 card is amazing. Excellent in the air, enough pace to recover and a mint cross on him. Score so many goals from him crossing to the far post for Bale to dominate a full back.
Didn't even think about Courtois and bought Oblak without thinking. Might make that change soon although Oblak has been great so far.
Modric needs replacing as does Xmas Isco, the only problem being the amount it's going to cost to do it. Kante for Modric is probably my next step although I'll have to save up for a while unless @Emmet takes the wager and moves me a bit closer.
Really, really, really want prime Gerrard for one of the CM spots. Looks like the best midfielder card on the game, even with the TOTY cards being released.
What I’ve heard about Gerrard is that he’s really sluggish and it’s probably due to his low agility and balance. You should try to get a loan card of him (if that appears) before buying him.

Traditionaly I’m a 433 but someone mentioned this 424 and I decided to try it and liked it but in the higher divisions people are obviously a lot better at exploiting the spaces left if something breaks down. I have considered maybe trying a 3 at the back as I’m sure I saw a 3421 which could be intresting. In game I switch between 442, 424, 433 depending on how it’s going just to serve different looks.
Not sure about Son due to team chemistry and the TOTW, Rashford,Martial and Jesus are awesome, I score bucket loads with them. Kinda prefer those 3 to Mbappe if I’m honest but could be because I use Mbappe as more of a winger.
I may consider replacing Rashford with Griezman but I love the pace of Rashford.
That is a nice team, Ramos is someone else I’m looking at possibly to replace Umtiti want someone with pace and passing ability and he fits the bill. How do you find Griezman?
Yeah Ramos is fecking great, I don't know how much of an upgrade on Umtiti he'd be though as he also looks like a great card.
Griezmann is good but not perfect, I usually take him off around 60 mins or move him back into CM as I bring Ibra and Tevez on

I’m playing 3412 and I love it. Went from around 2400 to about 2550 in skill rating when switching to it so it works at a higher level. I recommend you to try it out. The most important thing is having wide mids with high defensive workrates (you could possibly get away with medium, though I haven’t tried that) and set their instructions to come back in defense, stay wide and get in behind.
As a counter to this point, I can't defend with 3 man defences. Any use of RB/R1 will see a CB come charging out of position for the opposition to play a simple through ball so depends on what defensive style you use.

I’m playing with 9 depth so it’s a very high line. I love pulling out my most central defender to try and overload the space between defense and midfield which is the space most people are looking to exploit. When doing that my team effectively transform to a 4 at the back. Only difference is that I almost always win the ball as I’m pushing the defender (Ramos) straight towards the opponent instead of catching them from behind/the side which you’ll inevitably do a lot when trying to win the ball with a midfielder.
Thats brave for someone playing at such a high level. I'm also playing 3 at the back and enjoy the game a lot more now. I'm not getting better results but having more fun. I use 352, 3421. I'm shipping alot of goals from using Rui Costa and Rivaldo as wide midfielders though, Rivaldo is the laziest fecker I've ever seen.

Weird as hell I played my last 8 games on ultimate last week for the laugh was way behind top 100 as I skipped about 5 rounds, won all 8 scoring 5 goals in each game including beating a 189 team 6-2. Was getting 3.2k per game because I was leaking goals.
So decided yeah I'm gonna rock ultimate again this week and get me top 100 for certain. First 7 games, 3 losses. Lost to a 186, 184 and 181. Beat a 188 4-0, can't score for shit in my other games.
Unlike last year, I noticed this term only special cards get boosted to 98/99 rated and NIF's keep there normal rating. So now if I see a squad full of special cards I'm going to play legendary and play everything else on Ultimate, hope that works out. Do you play constant pressure or whatever its called? As well as a high line? Do your players be shattered in the 2nd half?
Your CBs need to be lightening to play so high surely? One through ball and you are fecked surely?
He probably plays pressure after possession loss or on heavy touch, most the top players who don't play drop back use those.
You can also switch in and out of constant pressure in game with the team press to conserve stamina.
Yup, it’s how I win so games. I’m not the best skiller and not the best in the final third, but what I am very good at is defending/pressing so high that my opponents rarely get the ball over to my half and they usually lose it in their half.
Yeah I don’t play on constant pressure. I did it before they patched it. They made it drain stamina so much that it’s unusable these days unless switching to it for short periods of the game. I use the team press tactic at times when I’m chasing an equalizer. I normally play on press after possession loss.
My CBs are lightning fast indeed. I have Walker (90 pace) as my RCB, Ramos (75 pace) in the middle and Varane (84 pace) on the left. It would obviously never work with slow center backs.

Best is so agile he's amazing, SIF Mahrez is good but his weekfoot might be an issue at Cam. Haven't used Henry.

Yeah maybe. I don’t think Vinicius is going to be that good. Same rating as Neymar and a very similar player. Lacks the 5* weak foot so he’s probably going to be a more expensive and slightly worse version of him. As for united-players potentially recieving a future-stars card, I don’t think we have many candidates to be honest. Dalot is probably the most likely. Maybe Chong?
