I’ve had pretty decent luck this year. Usually a £32 splurge on a Friday delivers a belter. Even got KDB in a 5k pack. But this week I’ve been opening 100k packs and getting 82/83 rated garbage as the standout. Even by EA standards it’s been bad.

This was 600k on ps4 and 530 on Xbox. Don’t think there’s any chance you couldn’t have fun with that team

Yeah Roberto stands out there, I always like full backs to be as well rounded as possible but pace and dribbling be their best stats. It’s amazing the amount of online players who don’t expect you to just keep running with your full backs, too busy trying to cut off passes.
I managed to pick up Carvajal (CL) and replaced Roberto with him and some how my chemistry dropped but I know what you mean because I tend to use my Fullbacks as wingers and everytime my wingers cut in they look to cut off that pass. However I just lost my last 2 games in part due to “The Fifa Fix” but there were times my move broke down and he was just able to play inbehind my Fullbacks and I had 2 defenders vs 4 attackers but after taking a 1-0 lead and getting Salah clean through at a good angle more than 3 times and he stuck every slotted ball wide of the post or Jesus clean through and keeper is pulling off wonder saves
Think I kept using Kante and Fernandinho in 1-2’s and clicking run on so they were also evacuating midfield, just poor play in general.
I spent £300 on packs because feck it during TOTY time.

EA are absolute geniuses.
Online seasons is what's kept me playing Fifa for the last 6 or so years. Once my lil UT fad is done with, I'll no doubt be going backAlthough, honestly, I do play exclusively with Liverpool... Maybe I should mix it up more.
I'm really surprised with UT, though. First time I played it was either 13 or 14, and there was seemingly no way you could succeed without spending money. Since then, I've refused to play it, until last week where I decided on a whim to give it a go... It's SO much better & player-friendly than it was when I first played. I'm starting to see the appeal now.
It is a fun game mode for sure but a few things started to grate on me like the crap pack odds and how teams have most players with pace in the 80s/90s. Seasons is a much nicer pace to play at for me and feels less frantic and arcadey.
In FUT I found myself forcing myself to play games just to get better rewards in SB and Rivals whereas now I can dip in and out of seasons as I wish and don't feel pressured into playing.
Yup. Doesn't even bother me when I lose in seasons - Hell, if someone is annoying me, I just leave

It's not like you're missing out on coins/rating or anything like that, and you can get matches in all divisions instantly (even on PC), so it's no issue at all.Last weekend I had 10 games to go after a good start and lost them all. You think? I've been using Varane and UCL Live Kimpembe and it doesn't seem to make a real difference imo. I've also used Ramos and Prime Cambell and I can't say I felt more solid defensively over a whole week.
Anyone know how much the bale SBC costs?

I think for the next fifa if I try and get back into it I might just say feck it and buy someone’s account that has millions of coins on it. The game has its flaws but it’s still fun to play for large portions, so may aswell buy the extra happiness

I have no idea, I’ve been very sporadic with the game this year, just know I last logged in on a Thursday and all my rewards were there.
I’m hoping that they’ve been working on fifa 20 for a couple of years, be the last big “title” on current gen so hope they just put everything into making it play like real football

Did the Ibra flashback SBC. Now with my Giggs/keane/scholes/sancho midfield I have Rooney and Ibra up front. Then for my other team using Futmas Rashford, IF Martial, CL Sane and the 86 lingard card as my front 4, did away with my Bosnia team as I needed one team to have a front line of Rashford qnd Martial
Started off well on Friday in the WL and was 11-1 before coming unstuck today. When you get to a certain level of player it really is just First Time Finesse Shot From 90 Degree Angle FC along with people who constantly move their goalkeepers whilst playing on constant pressure and spamming drag backs, ball-rolls, fake shots and la croqueta moves non stop.
I've played Fifa online for over 10 years and I don't think I've ever came across something as ridiculous and overpowered as timed finesse shots in all those years. You'd expect something like this on Fifa 11 last gen, not in fecking 2019. I did it a bit myself earlier and felt guilty for doing it. Feel sorry for the pros like @Eddy_JukeZ who have to deal with people who just constantly abuse game mechanics to win.

Bought this earlier today. Played around five games and it has been amazing. Zlatan and Martinez up front is like having two expensive prime icon strikers, but they cost a total of 180k. I’d honestly rather have them than say prime Larsson and prime Van Basten.

Forgot to reply to this just then, I literally strolled to gold 3 and then hit a brick wall facing full icon teams that were just 1st time finessing from about 30 yards into the top corner.
How on earth are you actually meant to stop that @Eddy_JukeZ? Moved my keeper a few times to stop it but then it just becomes a guessing game of which side they are going to first time finesse to.
I feel like having a God squad in this years Fifa is more effective than ever. It's always been an advantage, but the last couple years you could get through the year with having certain players like Martial and Son in your side, whereas now a team with high end IF and icons will just crush you.
It astounds me that EA haven't fixed the long range finesse shots. It breaks the game.
I thought low drivens were over powered last year but feck me at least they were somewhat realistic. Would do anything to have them back.
I never had a problem with low drivens. You had to get into the box at least.
Unfortunately the community complained so much and EA devs were annoyed that every goal at events were low drivens.
So they replace low drivens with 30 yard finesse shots. Amazing logic.
Think i have to give up with FIFA. My shitty Virgin broadband barely musters 1mb upload and it causes the worst button delay. Its like the players have weights on their ankles. Impossible to make quick, reactionary moves when defending and attacking, like trying to dribble.
My only way of attacking is one touch passing, otherwise i just get shrugged off the ball every time i take touch. Even then the lag still manages to screw me over when trying a counter attack, making me take a touch when i have already requested the first time pass. The move is ruined as the defender has the chance to wipe me out, leaving me on the floor as his teammate mops up while my players just stand and watch him. I desperately try to change player to them, but again I can’t get them to react. Squad battles is pretty much fine, apart from the odd script here and there. Very disillusioned right now.

Yeah you just have to be able to read their finesse.
People rarely finesse to the other side of where their player is facing.
Moving back with your keeper and then to the side is also beneficial.
Yeah that's basically all I do but then they wise up and just use a normal shot to the other corner. Gets so so boring facing the same thing over and over again. Dropping down to div 5 on rivals has allowed me to have some normal games at least, but a game where you purposefully get relegated is obviously broken.
I have similar issues, it’s so annoying, trying to work quick 1-2’s, 3rd runners and their is a delay in command or they wipe out your runner and you don’t seem to get a foul. The worst is when defending and you try and switch to the nearest player and there is this weird delay where for a second that player is uncontrollable and will either completely stop or move backwards taking them out of position to do anything about it then people just be hitting wonder goals with Zaha on his weaker foot from 30+ yards.
There are a lot of flaws in the game because you would think if someone with 94 pace is put through in lots of space and you’re sprinting then in no way should a defender at 68 pace be able to get anywhere near you but somehow they can and this thing if you’re winning the opposition get a boost and I’m sure they limit your ability because the amount of times I’m 2-0 up and am opening people up and all of a sudden my strikers become Emile Heskey and then theirs become Luis Ronaldo or Ronaldo and we end up drawing 2-2 is stupid to me. I don’t see why they would even have this in the game at all, it’s just stupid.
Yeah that was my first thought, but my friend convinced me that Costa’s lack of shooting and 3* weak foot wouldn’t work. I’m going to wait and see how Mane does. I love Costa in this game so I’ll probably make that switch.
Still on 11 wins with 4 games to go. It’s a complete joke, it’s like the game will not let me finish any higher than silver 1. Between this weekend and last weekend I’ve lost 19 games whilst on Silver 1; every reaction is late, every rebound has fallen to my opponent and I’m getting matched against unbelievable teams. I’ve tried having a break in between losses and spreading my games over the full weekend but it’s exactly the same.
