Gaming FIFA 17

Finished 23-17.

Went on a jammy winning streak to push me into Gold 2, which included winning a game 1-0 on penalties. Absolute shitshow.
 
I don't often buy fifa points but I did today. Anyway I just spent like 70 pounds on packs (mental I know) and got crap. I don't get how EA can be so stingy, I gave them 70 pounds of my money and the best player I got in all those packs was Bacca who is rated 84, he was the only player I got that was worth putting on the market because the rest sold for like 800 coins at most, Bacca sold for 3k. EA got me with all those blue cards :/ it wasn't even fun opening the packs and shit small flairs. Will have to delete it from my brain that I wasted all that money.

I stopped playing FUT when they introduced price ranges after fifa 15 and made coin buying difficult. Before that, I was a fool who spent too much money on fifa points.
I stick to seasons now, one of the reasons I got so heavily into fut was that mufc's team sucked for a few years but we can now compete with anyone.

I know it seems against the grain but I enjoy playing against PTB at times. It gives me so much space to operate in, which means it's all about my final decision. My problem with PTB is that you can "activate" it easily by pushing left on the D-Pad three times. Whereas to combat PTB, I need to go onto my formation and alter a few things - from custom tactics to player positioning. Which takes up more than one pause. I don't think that's fair. Realistically there should be some sort of alternative to High Pressure to combat low pressure/PTB players.

Anyway, I couldn't be bothered with the WL. Finished on 14-1. Elite 3 would have been manageable, but I was too tired... and 40 games for me is too much. I played some of my best football though. However, now it looks like I need to get 30+ wins in the next two WLs to get into Elite 3 monthly.

Me! I'm slightly above average Gold 1 & 2 usually. Last week I ended on 28 wins which is the closest I've got to Elite.
 
Has anyone tried TOTY Kroos? I'm in the market for a new box to box midfielder to compliment my BBVA/BPL team.

I did have Veron but I just didn't get on with him. He'd score 30 yard worldy's but miss one on ones.

Try playing against the teams I came up against and you'd soon appreciate the Butland Walker martial teams. Toty Ronaldo, we ah, del Piero, Lalas, Zanetti, Vieira OTW Pogba and Kante.

It was a joke I lost 3-1 and was over the moon!

His team of the year stats are so heavily boosted including his stamina so I don't think he'll fade. I'm not overly reliant on pace with my team as Kroos will have players around him (Modric, Kante, Nedved, Bale et al)

I'd love to play those players believe me. I'm on PS4 though and because we don't have legends literally everyone uses the same players.

I used to buy coins too and then sold them as well, it was much better. That's good about seasons and also its not like fut is much better now, fut used to be more arcadey with great long shots and stuff but this year its not much different to seasons.

I remember miccoli or whatever his name is in the Italian league being an absolute beast scoring screamers from crazy range. That was my fut highlight really. I loved the arcadey feel to it.

I had his inform one year and his shooting was amazing too. I remember in fifa 12 or 13 fut mode even silver cards could score from like 40 yards, one silver player called eninho felt broken, you could score from anywhere with ease. Wish it was still like that.

I enjoy it now that it's more realistic but I wish they had a game mode that still had that arcade feel for a break every now and then.
 
Oh god miccoli was the best striker I've ever used, all you had to do was finesse it from anywhere and it'd go in. Him and Di Natalie were absolute studs on the game in I think FIFA 12

Anyone remember these old united blasts from the past, we had some amazing Informs on FIFA 12, that Rooney was amazing and vidic is still the best defender I've used on any FIFA.

That Nani card was the first big card I bought, I'm sure his normal card got a winter upgrad and ended up being the same as his inform.
 
The recent patch... sounds like they might be fixing the negative PTB tactics.


No more custom positions during the game and "defensive line position changed in low pressure tactics".
 
This is the only game which makes me pure rage, every fecking mode of it is shite. Doing the Journey atm, started it when I got it but then left it after hearing how scripted it is. Anyway I'm Hull, back in the prem, and my first few games I've faced, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham... My manager plays the same shite formation, same shite players (Huddlestone) and Kane is absolute muck. What the actual feck.

Who knows how long it'll take them to fix..

At least they're aware of it.

I don't think it's just the WL, I played 5 games for the first time in about a week. Lag was bad in all of them and it disconnected four of them giving me the win in two (at 1-0 up in the 20-40 mins meaning they "disconnected") gave me a void for one (meaning they "disconnected") and gave the "disconnection" to me in one of them.
 
This game already feels quite dated. The same patterns of play over and over and over again.

Sucks PES doesn't have a Pro Clubs mode, or I'd be down to playing something new.

Not yet, only played those games since last Wednesday though. I didn't want to sell while the prices are rock bottom. They seem to be recovering now.
 
I need to qualify at some stage despite finishing gold 1. What happened to automatic qualifying? Finished Gold 1 last week and qualified automatically.

I've just seen an even worse glitch after this patch has come out :lol:

EA are shambolic. Apparently just pausing and quitting the game now causes a disconnect.

EA need to delay the weekend league or something.
 
3-0 up on the semi-final opponent quits and i get the loss wtf :mad:

So basically because of this glitch anybsore loser will screw you?
