i struggle against physcially stronger teams, always getting pushed off the ball..

but is there a button im not pressing to push them off??
cause i have dzeko aswell. hes big, and gets pushed off by zhirzov for some reason?

You can shield the ball by stopping and pressing RT/R2

When you're running, hold the direction you're running but on the diagonal, as if you're trying to cut across their path. That's all you can do. Most strikers can get pushed off the ball as defenders are stronger, so most of the time it's best to pass or check back.
 
Does anyone have a consistently decent freekick method?

Sometimes I can get shed loads of dip or curl on the ball, most of the time it flies over the bar.

R1 and up on the left stick. Power to half way ish, depending on distance. On Ultimate Team with Arteta (89) I must score 80% of free kicks within 35 yards :D

I don't understand how to get 100% chemistry. I have a team full of Brazilians and it's only at 79%.

As a side issue, i hooked my 360 up to my awesome HD TV today. Fifa in HD is fecking immese :)
 
Madrid just put Cristiano Ronaldo on the transfer list in my Manager Mode. I've tried to go in for him, but he keeps saying he does not think I'm the right manager for him despite my rating being 4.5/5 stars. Any way I could get him?

They need to be in the right positions and like playing in your formation to get to 100%. Also having a manager that likes your formation adds a big chunk to the chemistry.

If your contract manager or whatever he is called is maxed out, you should be able to get him by maximising his contract (usually around 320k a week) and can buy him for the minimum fee possible.

Chem 100% all play in proper pos and formation, only won the online bronze cup once hate it when nobs quit when losing it doesn't let you advance onto the next round.
 
In Fifa 2009, you were able to put players that are there internationally but not on the club teams onto a team for manager mode. For example, Wagner Love is at CSKA Moscow. You can't buy him during manager mode but before you start manager mode, you could put him somewhere and then buy him.

This doesn't seem possible in 2010? Or does anyone know how to do it? I want to buy players like Danny and Veron and can't get them.
 
Some assets of this game are very annoying..

It never ever gets blows up with the opposition have the ball.
You get denied stone wall penalties.
They get free kicks for nothing whilst you have to be decapitated to get one.

The most annoying this is when you give away a free-kick anywhere within 30 yards of the goal and you are playing the computer, they score 75% of the time.

I don't get UT, you spend loads of time on getting together a decent team, in the end it will all be in vain. At least you boost your skill level playing ranked games online.

There is no point to skill level. At least in UT there is something to aim for.
 
I'm currently going through an epic losing streak at the moment, so could do with a game with one of you guys later tonight to set it straight.
 
Anyone else noticed how good United are after the Jan update? Rooney went from 86 to 89, Fletcher from 79 to 84 (in DM) and Nani from 80 to 82.
