That's this game in a nutshell.
Just beat a guy 7 -1 and when it asked if you want a rematch he selected yes and I chose no because I want to get something to eat. I then get a message going 'pussy yr scared'
i just scored to go 3-3 in the 88th minute
passed it back to the keeper who is being closed down by their striker, i press to boot it away, the keeper falls on the floor and the ball goes through his legs

Put this in the Box before after having a break from it, went into Manager Mode, 10 mins in to the first game and I get 'Disc Unreadable'. Brilliant.
Started it up again, simmed the same match as before, started the next one, 5 mins in 'Disc Unreadable'. feck off.
Never used to get this problem, then all of a sudden I started getting it occassionally. Now it's unplayable. EA are twats.

4-3-3 is the way forward, never realised how dominating this formation is. Won 5 in a row since switching from a 4-1-2-1-2 online.
Might be a scratch on the disc. Hardly EA's fault.

Pro Evo's the same, except there are whole other avenues of cheating/being annoying with that. For example; letting the timer run down to zero every single time, not skipping replays, deliberate own goal match abandonment, etc.

No I was talking to Stobzilla when he said 'you get the win anyway' as if that meant it didn't matter if they quit. For some like me and I'm guessing you noods, it's more the enjoyment of the game rather than doing anything for the win.
Everyone is shit at the game because since you haven't played much you are up against other people with level 1 or 2 skill levels, except they have probably been trying to raise their skill level a lot longer then you.
Yeah, I think that's it. A lot of people seem to take it far too seriously.
Modern Warfare next up. Something I definitely DO expect to be utterly humiliated at from the off
I understand that and I enjoy a good game of football more than I do the win but if they quit then so what, by getting annoyed at them for quitting you are taking it as seriously as they are, but in a different way.
A quick Google search suggests it's a common problem with Fifa 10. EA tend to be twats for many other reasons though to be fair.
I've even experienced idiots quitting on unranked matches. Unranked FFS!
Why waste time playing out a loss when you can be starting another game with a chance of a win?
Not my perspective, but the perspective of a lot. It took me 147 ranked wins to get the trophy for 100 ranked wins due to 47 people quitting on me. That would have been much higher if it wasn't for that fact that I went easy on people and intentionally missed chances if I already had a 2 goal lead. It's the people that quit after the final whistle that do it purely out of spite that annoy me.

I don't know if this has already been asked but I'm still on ps2, and whenever I'm playing season mode as a team without their stadium like Valencia, Madrid, or Napoli, I'm playing is a small Port Vale style stadium. Is this just a ps2 thing or is there a cheat to get it a bit more realistic?

I'm about to climb to level 28, it's incredibly tough at 27, although I went unbeaten all through level 26.
I've got a great formation and a tactic to go with that if you're interested, you have to be my friend on PSN to download them though. I've got an 14 unbeaten run of games at level +26 where two games finished draws.

It's a narrow defensive formation with a low defensive back-four, with Evra assisting attack on the flank. It's incredibly effective on the counter, Scholes is great to curl around defenders to set Rooney free on goal. Fletcher is doing a lot of tidying up in front of the back four. Pressure and aggressiveness is set to low, so the defenders don't get caught out of position to let their quick strikers through on goal. So basically, you cram the middle for them to play through, crosses are not that effective when you got Rio and Vida waiting in there.
Nearing the end of the game (around 75th minute) I sub Nani on for Giggs, Ando for Scholes and Valencia for Carrick. This to add pace to run with the ball when the opponents' players are tired come the end. It's also effective to use them to run down the clock rushing to the corner flag and shield the ball.
This said, you still have to be good at FIFA, as with every other formation. I usually play around a lot to frustrate the opponent, thus leaving small spaces which you can take use of, with patience chances will come. I'm averaging 60% possession even though it's a defensive counter-attacking formation.

I'm excellent with Chelsea on this. Can never really do well as United for some reason.
You know i do quite well with United, i've found if you play the Liverpool 4-2-3-1 formation with Berbatov behind Rooney it works, for me anyway.
433 is awesome with United, try it sol. Rooney through the middle - Valencia right - Nani left.
Oh and there is an update tomorrow that will get the all the transfers sorted out and tweaks to the player ratings. Rooney is apparantly going up to 89.
Why are people on this game so shit? Is this only in the lower levels? I play with an insane amount of lag and still manage to beat anyone with West Ham - only really lost one game out of my six registered losses, others were disconnections.

I can't played Ranked because the game cuts me off every 2-3 games, my record would be horrendous. Before anyone says it wouldn't count, trust me it disconnects me while I'm winning and then hands me a 3 - 0 loss, I've checked many different times.
It's also the reason I can't get Ultimate Team, ruined online for me basically but EA won't fix it til at least FIFA 11.
