I get the same but it's fine after restarting the game.
I have hit the post 7 times in the last two games...this game is killing me.
Changing the shooting controls to semi/manual should rectify this problem.
Crazy. I just played two very, very good (and close) games against another fellow, who it seemed knew what he was doing. And after those two games (which I both won, but just) I checked his record. It was 15 wins, 21 losses. My only loss so far also played like a champion, but he had something like 5-2 at that point.

thats what i was getting, id advise you upgrade your graphics driver and create a new Windows account on your PC and do it from there
on the EA site make sure you are logged into your xbox360 or PS3 account on there, you may have to go Edit Bio and change your Persona

nah on the sad-feck meter, they outdo us don't worry.I just played someone who quit after I scored in the 4th minute. That is, he quit immediately after I scored, one goal, in the 4th minute. Unsurprisingly he was a Liverpool fan.

I can't seem to do the power free kicks like I did in 09. They seem to go very low.
Just fill up the power-meter a lot more than you're used to.
I find them a lot better this time around, now you can actually put some bend to them as well.

Try using the finesse shot - hold RB (xbox 360) and shoot
R1 on PS3...and aim wide to the keepers left (or right if he's a left footer) and try and bend it back round with the analogue stick...You'll get a lovely assured finish effect
Basically, always try and aim for the far post if you can

10+ years of playing football games and I still can't defend properly. All my games are 4-3, 5-2, 6-3, 5-4, 3-2, etc, etc, etc. Any tips?

Don't pressure your opponent to often, it will cause your players to be left out of position when the opponent passes it inwards or backwards to one of his teammates, try to control your defender with L2 while running backwards along with the opponent you're supposed to mark, thus making it impossible for him the play a through ball. Some chase you like mad dogs, which obviously isn't too good, gigantic spaces are left behind which I often make use of. In summary, don't push up, hold back the defense with L2 whilst trying to position your player properly to mark the opponent.

Played a few ranked on Saturday afternoon. The guy chose Chelsea and beat me (as United) 3-2 with a goal in the 120th minute, gutted. He asked for a rematch, i chose Liverpool and lost again (him again Chelsea) Anelka was just a beast.
So he wanted another rematch, i obliged and chose Chelsea as well... Was beating him 4-0 and he quit. Chelsea are too easy to play as it's unreal.

I have no problem beating Chelsea, although I know what you mean about Anelka and Drogba being hulks. Because of these two players, people try to play through balls more often to utilize them, they are much easier to read, just drag your defenders back deep to prevent races one-on-one with them coming out on top almost everytime.
Yeah i did, it was only by the odd goal he beat me. It was hilarious though watching John Terry catch up with and then throw Torres across the pitch, Terry is superman!
