Fergie Transfer U-Turn

Its alright. We have Scholes, Owen back from injury. Park will be back in February. Antonio Valencia is slowly working his way back before end of season. Goggs is playing like a 25 year old. No problems on the lack of squad quality there. The numbers should be back up in 1-2 weeks time

Borussia would have sold Kagawa if given an opportunity to cash in while he's a flavor of the month. They have been cash strapped for a while, and will win the league regardless seeing as they are far ahead of the rest. Besides, he'd not get a work permit anyway, would he?

Of course he would.

Feeling we'll be at the end of a big tonking against one of the european sides and hopefully this will ensure SAF has a few shenles to spend in the summer.
Truelly believe we are only 2 players short of a quality side, and hoping to see a few of the younger kids step up next season.

We ARE a quality side!

Anderson. We're not going to sign that creative midfielder. Go cry now muppets. :D

Actually, I'm more worried on the DM situation, Hargreaves might player another 6 minutes for us, Carrick has been a lot better this season but still far away from his best, Fletcher had a good start, but my god has he been poor in his last few matches...

I know Pogba is coming real soon, but he couldn't be called a DM as his game is more of an all rounder...

We might need Hargreaves replacement.

Any ideas ? ( M'vila ? No Lass plz, Busquets has signed a new contract, etc... )

Think it's at least 3-4 years before Pogba would make any impact in the first team.

you think he will be 21/22 before he makes any impact?

I'm not saying I would expect him to be a first team reg before then, but I think he could be making some sort of decent impact in the 2012/13 season, I would reckon he'll get a few appearances in the 2011/12 season through the League Cup too.

seems it was taarabt...shame it didnt come off but probably for the best.

Probably from Taarabt himself, as he said we were interested in him. And Real Madrid. And Brazil

Bull shit.

There's no way we'd be after him IMO. His behaviour the other week was an absolute disgrace.

I read an interview Sport did with him the other week, and he mentioned that he is happy under Warnock as he, quote "stops the other players from shouting at me, as I don't like it when they do".

Made me lol

His team mates weren't passing the ball to him as much as he wanted so he had a strop, stopped playing and asked to be subbed.

It was close to half time iirc and Warnock had a word with him at half time. He ended up playing the full 90.

Yeah that is pretty bad.

But imo that wouldnt/shouldnt put Fergie off. Surely he rates his own management skills above the likes of Neil Warnock.

Have a quick scan of Cantona's formative years.

Auxerre:

The first of his disciplinary problems had already begun when in 1987 he was fined for punching team mate Bruno Martini in the face

Marseille, part 1

Cantona had quite often shown signs of being 'short tempered' in his career to date, and in January 1989 during a friendly game against Torpedo Moscow he kicked the ball at the crowd and ripped off and threw away his jersey after being substituted

France

a few months earlier, he had been banned from international matches for one year after insulting the national coach on TV

Montpellier

At Montpellier, he was involved in a fight with team-mate Jean-Claude Lemoult and threw his boots in Lemoult's face. The incident led to six players demanding that Cantona be sacked.

Marseille, part 2

Cantona was also continually at odds with his manager and despite helping the team win the French Division 1 title, he was transferred to Nîmes the following season.

Nimes

In December 1991, during a match for Nîmes he threw the ball at the referee, having been angered by one of his decisions. He was summoned to a disciplinary hearing by the French Football Federation and was banned for one month. Cantona responded by walking up to each member of the hearing committee in turn and calling him an "idiot". His ban was increased to three months

Leeds

Turked Lee Chapman’s wife.

Graeme Souness ducked the opportunity to sign Cantona for Liverpool suggesting he was a risk to their dressing room harmony. Fergie thought otherwise....

United

Kung Fu Kick. Enough said.

Fixed.

My favourite one

How did SAF manage to tame such a beast? Cantona was totally rebellious to authority

Sneijder and Kaka way better than Henderson or Rodwell will ever be.

Fergie didn't tame Cantona. He grew up a bit but he was still more or less the same. Wouldn't be the king otherwise.
