Fellaini

It's like talking to yer gran about football, there are no obvious points of entry into the conversation. Fletcher and Keane now.

Well, I've said my piece anyway, and explained what I feel in as much detail as I can be asked to do. Those who disagree are more than entitled to, my view remains unchanged.

For those asking my age by the way, I am 27.

Thank you for reaffirming my point. Defensive mids have a different skill set than attacking mids. The former seek and destroy; the latter create. Some overlap, to be sure, but surely you must agree with me that their roles are different and are largely a function of their ability on the ball.

World class players don't conform to skill sets. You can't be a world class defensive midfielder without having an outstanding skill set for almost all areas of the game. The best teams have players who can do everything to a high standard and since Keane was our most important player for many a year it stands to reason that he was much more than a 'destroyer' Makelele was a destroyer, he could do bugger all but break up attacks and pass it to the guy next to him. Are you really equating Keane to him?

Still think he'doffer something very different to anyone else in europe. Imagine the shock on the barca faces as he strolls out and we pump it up to him. If stoke had him they'd be unstoppable!

He'll replace lampard though

Fellaini ramires
Hazard oscar mata

Looks ok to me...

His natural ability is closer to Cattermole, or to be kinder - Scott Parker than it is to Xavi, Pirlo or Scholes.

Just found this gem. If we're allowed to have a signature in post, this would be it.

Fellaini, for all his brilliance, is nowhere close to Cattermole or Parker. He is much better than that. And still being 25 right now, he has many more top years to go.

Barcelona would probably laugh

Fellaini gives the ball away more than any other player in the league this season. He'd probably see the ball about 3 times per half and give it right back to Barcelona.

Like The Neviller said, it's about Keano. Now you need 3 green smilies.

You can say that about most players from most teams when they face Barcelona.

However, Fellaini with his physical approach and being dominant in the air presents a problem for a side like Barca and offers his team a long ball route, which allows the opposition at least at times to overcome Barcelona's "pressing and trapping" defensive tactics, that snuff out most counter attacks before they even have a chance to develop.

He'll have to play a bit further up field for that, though.

I can't believe I seen Roy Keane and Lee Cattermole in the same sentence.

Well i have had a fortnight break from here, and during that time one of our greatest ever players has been tragically refashioned with a comparison to Lee fecking Cattermole!! WTF????

Im with Brophs on this one, the only thing to do is not even bother acknowledging such complete lunacy!!

"Everton set to sign £8.6m Leroy Fer from FC Twente" - from BBC.

He's described as "The Bouncer" for his size. Seems like a Fellaini replacement?

Girly drama queen: Does Chelsea get their man tonight?

Still don't understand why we wouldn't be in for him. He's pretty much the only available, proven top quality midfielder 'on the market' in the PL.

He'd improve our team from day one.

Plus I think he'll be a hit at Chelsea.

Sigh.

He'll be very expensive and I'm not sure I'd put him in the very top class. He seems like a very good fit for Everton - he's their main man and should stay there at least until the end of season, perhaps a couple more.

Van Persie's corners + Fellaini's head

Still, I'd actually prefer a midfield consisting of Anderson/Cleverley/Anderson than replacing one of them with Fellaini.

Fellani's produced probably one of the best individual performances we've seen against United in a long time. He would be an invaluable asset to whoever get's him. The fact he's been put up top and caused problems, shouldn't lead people to think he can't do a job defensively or in the middle. He'd be a cult figure at United but we'll see. If he went Chelsea, city whoever he will do a very good job.

Yes, in a #10 role behind a striker. He could do a job in midfield but would it be at the same level as the performance he gave against us?

Why not? His performance up top was highly technical. It wasn't just the height that gave him an advantage. His touch, technique and control is good. He's at an age where he can still improve and he's different to who we have. He'd also be a tremendous defensive option.

I saw him play for standard liege - remember a performance prior to his move to Everton against a good Liverpool team and they played football. I think if Fletcher is unable to return, Fellani would be a great option for us.

Because it's a different position. He never dominated us from midfield.

The hell he will. A very good half season at Everton enough to make you say he'll be a cult figure at United? We aren't mid-table club that so desperate for any good player coming in. Even Carrick needs 5-6 years for fans to appreciate him. Unless he's as good as van Persie, which he isn't; I don't see many even get excited with signing Fellani.

I'd laugh if we signed him. Everyone let out a huge sigh of relief that we finally got an established first team regular CM and then Fergie only played him up front. 11 Stikers... Oh Yeah!!

Meh, we didn't get Dembele so I don't see why we'd get the similarly credentialed but less appropriate Fellaini.

Had to laugh at the Argentine announcers here in South America obsessing over whether Rooney and Fellaini were going to have some kind of bust up due to some sort of scandal between the Fellaini and Rooney's cousin. They were going on and on about it, but they weren't sure exactly what the scandal was, but something like Fellaini stalking Rooney's cousin, or whatnot. They even invited viewers to google the name Natalie Rooney to find out exactly what had happened. Obviously during halftime they themselves googled it and ended up giving all the details of this article, mixed in with the play by play of the match, ha ha. Turns out these clowns were obsessing over something that had happened like 3 years ago. Here's the article, anyway. Pretty funny stuff.

Natalie Rooney reveals Felliani's bedroom tactics

Scourned Scouser Natalie Rooney has revealed love rat Marouane Fellaini's embarassing bedroom tactics.

The blonde babe, cousin of Manchester United star Wayne said she first met afro man Fellaini when they were introduced last month by Everton youth player Jose Baxter.

Fellaini was said to be instantly smitten when he saw a pic of Nat's goregous figure and 32G boobs on Baxter's phone and began texting her instantly.

And it wasn't long before the Everton star, who has been dating long term love Laura Binet, romanced Nat, 19..... by asking her to get her bum out.

The Everton star even dropped his own trousers on their first date. "He kept saying, 'Don't be shy - I will show you mine," complained Nat.

Natalie told the News of the World: "It was so exciting dating my favourite player, but he was only interested in one thing - sex.

"But the sneak didn't tell me he had a girlfriend back in Belgium.

"Had I known I wouldn't have gone near him. Then he had the cheek to dump ME!"

"He would text me in broken English, he wrote: "Com please me only my family no hier Please for me babe."

She agreed to go to his plush flat by Liverpool's Princess Dock.

Nat said: "I thought he looked like Screech the geek from Saved By The Bell, so was a bit 'whatever' about it.

But Fellaini's chat up lines didn't get any smoother and asked the buxom babe if he could see her rear.

"He was trying to say he had seen my bum in a photo and asked if he could see it in real life." said Nat.

"I told him 'no way'. Then he dropped his trousers and mooned right at me. He did have a lovely bum and I slapped it - but still refused to show him mine!"

"He asked to see my boobs, and I love getting them out so I showed him. He said, 'Big, very big!'"

And next week they'll be even BIGGER when Nat flies out to Mills & Mills clinic on the Costa del Sol for a second £3,500 bra-busting op taking her up to a 32JJ.

Slaggy part time model who likes to get her tits out in footballer was only after sex shocker.

On topic, he's fecking shite isn't he? A lumbering big lump who goes through a game getting away with loads of fouls and heading the ball a bit. I wouldn't want him near our squad. He's a shite midfielder who doesn't play in midfield.
