I don't think this is believable. The fee quoted in the media is somewhere around 10 million pounds. This is not a money Galatasaray can pay, certainly not a money that they can pay to Fellaini. Galatasaray has already bought 4-5 players and I don't think even the remaining budget is 10 million pounds. On top of that, the clueless board of Galatasaray is tracking everything that is written on social media. Even if they were considering, they will probably drop their interest after the reaction on Twitter yesterday (I know how absurd this is but this is really the truth btw).

Not unless he wants out. Jose won't push him out. Pierera is more of a attacking mid than a cm or dm so it remains to be seen how he'll be used.

From the first day he arrived I was opposed to his signing. As a fan the type of midfielder that I prefer is your Modrics, Kroos, Verrati ect. So naturally it's dissapointing when the clubs going for someone like Fellaini who's not akin to or even blessed with anything close to having the ability to play beautiful football.
E.g. Who can forget that dribble in the champions league v Bayern in 2014? Even the commentator was embarrassed. He looked so out of place that whole game.
But as the old saying goes 'beauty' is in the eye of the beholder. Because yes you would never see him receive the ball to feet under pressure pull a feint and an a roll to get free and then play a 30 yard ball to someone's feet - but you had the ultimate weapon in football FOR the right games.
Fellaini grew on me. I think some of the comments here are unfair. He scored crucial goals, was trusted and was a real asset due to his awkwardness and effectiveness in certain conditions in a game and there isn't a player out there that can do what fellaini does from the midfield. I can tell you one thing, laugh and criticise him all you want but I'm pretty sure anyone going up against him hated it.
Its surprising if this happens. Mou trusts him and played him 38 or so times last season. You need a fellaini in the team. He's a great plan B if your plan A goes to south. Him leaving wouldn't even improve our football. Mou will still play route one direct football. Just because Fellaini goes don't expect ticki tacka - Mou ain't built for that. For that reason I'd be disappointed.
Only silver lining is we'd need two midfielders coming in. Even with Fellaini and another it's still light. Carrick's powers have waned and Pereira (although im a massive fan) who knows how will cope. That leaves big concerns if anything happens to Pogba and Herrera. Definitely need more than 1 CM coming in if Fellaini leaves.

What on earth does he bring to the team? He's awful at best, and no where near United quality - even my Everton supporting mate was applauding (and astounded) when we bought him off them.

Why ? The best teams in the world, the teams that are at the level we aspire to reach, do not have a player like him. He's done his best and you can only respect that but I don't get where this "need" comes from. We wanna become a better team then we have to replace players like him or players like him have to have a meaningless place in the squad.

His best is not good enough. He should be leaving. Let our youth play instead. Whats the worst can happen? They can go missing, provide no aerial threat, play sideways, be rash and or red carded. Pffthhh.. You won't even notice him missing.
Jose clearly likes him and has publicly supported him when it was easier not to. Hes not going nowhere unless there is a least 2 players coming in. What I like about him is clearly wants to be here despite the negativity and disgrace of so called fans booing him, and he gives 100% everytime he puts a shirt on. Now not saying we couldnt do better but he's not a starter and I'd say look at those who are who haven't lived up to the fee we paid for them or the crap rudderless managers that led us down a cul de sac.....

The idea that we can be so negative about a player that doesn't start makes absolutely no sense and has cost us no more games than the 100 of missed chances last year and the procession football under LVG. If he left tmw, the focus would move on Blind, Smalling, Jones, Damian, Carrick who for different reason you could easily question if good enough to start.....then you could say Martial, Shaw and Mikki (over 100m of talent) need to show up this season. I think not showing up when you clearly have talent is actually worst than when Felliani does who clearly doesn't.
This is not including the Arg at PSG or the tattooed lad now also in France where another 100m was spent who were absolutely shocking.

I agree with you entirely. He is a big game receiver and destroyer and has got good stamina. I don't like his elbows but he seems to be controlling them a bit. I think if he goes we weaken our midfield/team even if we get Matic.

Had more minutes on the pitch than Martial, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Mata, Rojo, Darmian or Carrick (and far, far, far more than the likes of Smalling or Young). Rashford played only 22 more minutes (Premier League plus Europa League). Only the absolute key players (Herrera, Pogba, Ibrahimovic, De Gea, Bailly, Valencia) and Blind spent significantly more time on the pitch than he did.
So yeah, he isn't a nailed on starter but he plays a LOT, for someone with such a limited ability.

The big difference, we continued to win the league unlike now. It's amazing how the number of negative posts disappear about Felliani when we are winning which always amazes me if he's still rubbish? I get the sense that the lack of signings, people always find certain dogs to kick. He might get a reprise as I get a sense Rom is being lined up to take his mantle....

I've been consistent in my views of Fellaini. You must be trolling me if you think players like Butt and Fletcher were 'squad players'. Teddy Sheringham was footballer of the year!! Not bad for a squad player and some of the performances Park put in in the biggest games were super human. However if you prefer long hoof football and a physical tepid approach to football then stick with Fellaini.

Yeah we know it's not going to happen. Couldn't see him moving to Galatasaray to be honest. Besiktas or Fenerbahce maybe, but Galatasaray, no...although they're probably at his level to be fair. But the World Cup is coming so he's not going to be making a move like this. So long as he's not offered another 4-yr deal or something crazy like that, I'm not really bothered if he stays or goes though it would be fantastic if they could move him on.
De Gea? Herrera is as good as Ince too.
