just imagine tomorrow's headline to be: "Dacourt's deal fell apart too!"

What 'kin Dacourt deal?

Dacourt's deal was due to happen yesterday. Didn't and he travelled with the team meaning he's a Leeds player for next season. So you're a day late on that one.

Interesting that all the players that want to screw Leeds (especially Bowyer) have ended up in sticky situations as per the transfers getting messy.

Considering that it was Risdale's remark that pushed Bowyer out in the first place, I think you should ask who has screwed who?

So Elmo, just how much exactly of those £15m you have to find this summer have you managed to get so far?

Give us Rio for £20m, and it's all sorted, and you've even got £5m to play with

The £5m extra is just the start of the new charity we support: 'United for Leeds'

;)

Andy...yeah Ridsdale's the problem.

Fact:

Bowyer (however innocent he was proved in 2 trials) drags Leeds and the fans and everyone involved through the mud for 2 years.

Bowyer's legal fees are paid by Leeds.

Leeds fans back 'Bowyer for England' through the trials.

Bowyer is found innocent and says he will sign contract as the fans have been great support.

Ridsdale says in all honesty that considering he has been in trouble with the law twice and various problems plus the refusing to pay club fines that Woodgate paid (even though they were both guilty of breaking club rules by drinking no matter who was found innocent!) that he would reconsider signing a player like Bowyer in the future.

Bowyer, despite the 2 years of financial and emotional support spits the dummy and after 6 months of stringing the club and fans along refuses to sign a new contract.

Yep Bowyer has not screwed Leeds at all. It's not his fault at all.

Spot on! Risdale is coming out of this looking like an arsehole
He needs to turn up with 15m, and so far, he's got bollock all, except a manager who's bankrupted two clubs already!
We should walk away, go for Duff, and then come back next week with a lower bid.
The only thing that's pissing me off is that I thought Bowyer and Liverpool were a match made in hell

When Risdale speaks the whole world listens...

He will not sell Rio.

And if everything is not sorted by 12.00 today no deal will go through..

He's like a rock and nothing can change his mind

Fair comment Elmo, but bearing in mind the investment that Leeds put into Bowyer, should Risdale have kept his mouth shut! It seems to me that with one remark, honest or not, he has binned all the money and hard work that went into rehabilitating him.

I like what Ridsdales getting out of MU by the sign of it - I heard that Kenyon contacted Ridsdale desperate not to lose Rio and asked to continue talks...Kenyon seems to have been pushed up to 30m+ hasn't he - pushover

if Bowyer signed..

Which he hasn't..

Oh well look forward to

Man Utd 0-1 Liverpool
Murphy

Again

;)

But Andy....after all that Leeds have done....one comment shouldn't have been the thing his move hinged on. Bowyer just threw a wobbly.

So you as the selling chairman would reveal what you would except straight away....you are not too bright are you?

I do not suppose Ridsdale thought in his wildest dreams that anyone would be daft enough to stump up £30m+ for someone that only 18 months ago cost just £18m.
How many more times do you need to read "Dol got sacked for not getting Leeds into the CL"?

Got it now?

It wasn't the comment, it was where he said it. If Risdale wanted to question whether Bowyer was worth the bother, he should have kept it within the club, and not gone public.
But then again, Risdale does seem pleased with the sound of his own voice.

But Andy can't you see the frustration of Leeds fans that irregardless of Risdale's mistake Bowyer has been a petulant thankless idiot?

And yeah, O'Nearly keeps making his own excuses for getting the sack. Lack of actual success nt being one of them.....

Marchin! You don't get it! You need the dosh, and who else is going to pay that sort of money for Rio, in fact, who else has got it?
We don't necessarily need Rio. Nesta, Ayala, and Thuram are all available, probably for a lot less than Rio.
Risdale is in danger of coming out with nothing, and having to explain that to the bank, as well as to TV, who you can't tell me came to the club without promises of money to bring in players.
I want Rio at OT, and don't mind paying a premium to get him there, but I don't think Risdale is in a position to impose deadlines any more. It's more likely that Fergie will pull the plug if this goes on much longer. Perhaps Risdale needs to learn not to piss about with the big boys.

DOL knew what was expected of him only too well Davo and it's a shame you don't remember what his words were on the day he got sacked....."I can except the reasons I got sacked".

The reason was that his contract said it was expected that Leeds were in the CL...he failed!

So explain his words today about being sacked sue to his thoughts on Rio's transfer?

But you knew that when you bought him, as Risdale pointed out. If I were a Leeds fan, I would be more frustrated by Risdale's inability to put the good of the club over his own need to make headlines.
I feel sorry for genuine Leeds fans, you've got a right'un there. If I were you, I'd see if we could chuck Martin Edwards into the deal a makeweight. Those two deserve each other.
