You really are lost in all this aren't you mate....Ridsdale knows that MU desperately need a CB and rather foolishly Fergie played his card a little too early as did Rio with his transfer request. MU also believed that Leeds HAD to sell Rio when in fact, as has been shown by Ridsdales hard stand, they don't. Hence Leeds have been able to force MU to go to the fee Leeds only dreamed of getting...great bit of business Ridsdale.

That will do nicely....as AEBM said it goes someway to getting over Wilkinsons stupid idea of selling you Eric for peanuts.

If Rio help us win the PL and CL and Leeds end up Mid Table with nothing again! 30-35m will begin to look like pocket Money and Ridsdale like the ass he is, again!

I suppose it's a matter of opinion. Leeds MUST raise 15m and thats without thinking about incoming transfers. All they have right now is 0 and they aren't on 15 even if the Bowyer sale is complete, and I don't see who else will go at the moment to give the club the 15m and money for new players.
Leeds need to sell Rio. After what he said recently - even more so.
Both teams need this deal really. Leeds need the money, United have it. I don't think there's anything shrewd from Ridsdale.
He'll have no credibility left when this is over.

Well done Leeds. They've done brilliantly in lining up deals for three of their best players. You must be chuffed, Marching.

Jim White said it on the 11 oclock news.

30m will be a decent fee if Rio ends up staying for a decade and presiding over 10 or so trophies.

That's very true Raoul - I am not saying he is not a good buy for you cos he is...I have said before I see him being part of a Pallister/Bruce like partnership for years to come and will certainly help you towards the title this year.
But, this deal is also good for Leeds as I think to get £30m+ for him is good business at a time we need to rebuild. We will be able to put the Bowyer/Rio and other money to good use.
Good deal all round.

I just hope that towards the end of those '10 years' Rio will get the better of that 1-howler-a-game average of his.

Dear me, you do love Risdale, don't you! The reason the deadline has been scrapped is that his bluff has been called. I hear that Kenyon refused to be pushed, and threatened to walk away from the deal. Like I said, we can afford to wait, you can't

Kenyon should tell Ridsdale to take £20m or go bancrupt now

Repeat again.
Leeds' debt of 60 million is repayable over a 25 year bond.
15 million is all that is required this season.
Getting boring repeating this for the people that just can't understand this concept.

So, we should bid £15m for Rio then
