FAO Those who own a PS3 AND a 360

It makes piracy easier, that's why you shouldn't be able to do it. In any case, if you bought an Elite or Premium from a shop, surely they would want the whole thing back, HDD and all? Otherwise what are they going to give you when you do a swap?

If you change it in store you have to give them the HDD too.

Yes, I thought that would be the case, and why it wakes the idea far less appealing, especially if you have got a lot on the drive.

A major problem with the PS3 is that the HDD can only be use in the machine that formatted it. If you try to put it into another PS3, it will want to format it. Yes, there is a backup option to get your saves and other data off the HDD, but if your machine will not come on at all, you are fecked.

see this is the problem i have with these threads, people use it as an opportunity to dig at MS. Im no fan of them but I'd prefer to rate the 360 on face value; not for an preconceived ideas about who produced it

I thought the original Xbox was superb and really loved it and regardless of MS I feel the Xbox 360 is/was will always be crap. It's the worst of the 3 consoles this generation. This my opinion though and had Sony made the 360 I'd still be saying its shite.

I'm thinking of buying a Ps3 tonight. I've seen an offer for an 80G Ps3 with 3 games including Little Big Planet and Motorstorm pacific rift and Need for Speed undercover. for £300.00.

Is the Blu-Ray player any good compared to dedicated movie Blu-Ray players?

I'm a big film fan and this would be a large plus point for owning the console.

The software updates mean it's going to better than a stand alone blu-ray player IMO. Particularly your Samsungs and so forth.

Put simply, it's the best and most future-proof Blu-Ray player out there.

It was posted yesterday so I should get it soon. Merry Christmas to me :D

Anybody recommend some good Blu-Ray films where the picture quality is spot on?
