Man Utd is not doing good on woolfs loss! can fergie buy good winger and defnder and striker now? Flababanio is best new thing in Brazil with pace of 18 and high shot power. Why we not sign him when Arse scum twats can buy new winger (according to planetfootball)?? Anybody who disagree I will feckin kill you and your whore mother!!! LOL!?!?

...which I agree is not exactly worthwhile opinion from knowledgable fans.

holy shit!

I mean look at the post from EricVanCoppell about our worst ever team. He had Fletcher, PNev, Forlan and Golden Brown in it FFS. Clueless he is, feckin clueless. I'd certainly have my eye on him if I were you guys.

Well, he reckons that it was right that certain fans slated Giggs last season, and that Fortune is a youth player, what do you expect?

Oh come on. Virtually everyone on this post agrees with the principle of it. And look at who has posted - all the old hands who have been on here for years.

I think the Mods just need to be more active in deleting pointless posts. That way, those who are putting up stupid and pointless posts will soon lose interest and leave.

If we deleted every pointless or stupid thread/post Niall would need to actually pay us since it would be a full time job.

And who decides what is a valid post and what isn't. We remove the worst of the worst but I don't think that you can ask much more.

After all maybe Giggs should be sold cos he's useless ;)

Mate, it just isn't feasible in my opinion - they'd be deleting all day. What I think is more likely to have some effect is more scrutinous vetting of prospective members in the newbie forum. I have never seen the newbie forum, but my belief was that it would be used to filter out the types of posters who some of us are talking about (and let's be honest, there may well be plenty of older posters who don't have this problem we do but that's another thing) with the overall goal of preventing the types and volumes of posts we're talking about.

Sounds good in theory but in paractice only the obvious loons are weeded out (and maybe not even all of them e.g. Chel$kiChel$ki).

The cnuts are even getting in the general forum

We should have an exclusive secret forum like we used to have on KT, somewhere to get away from the chaff - but without turning into a knitting circle like Hypersky and TOD

I'll give you a list of members once its set up...;)

Knitting? Feck off.

We might have a fecking techno forum and one in a foreign language but knitting threads are a banning offence. As is being welsh.

It is a 'kin coffee morning knitting circle...no offence like, but there's nothing to debate - which is why its so quiet..

Its all well and good everyone being great pals and talking about your kids and that but its got no spark

How would you know since you can't access the good bits?

If I may contribute my two pennorth here......Both sides of the discussion hav their relevant points. There is a burgeoning volume of utter drivel posted here by people who are not as well informed and knowledgeable as some others, but surely one of the best things about the Caf is that we are not heavily moderated and long may that continue. So therefore, those who hate reading through the drivel can do one of 3 things......go away never to return, skim through the drivel to find the nuggets of gold or try and use their superior knowledge and skillful argument to educate and inform the next generation of Man United fans, who will, eventually run this place. YES.....I am afraid it is true......ONE DAY THE LUNATICS WILL RUN THE ASYLUM!!!

My choice is the last of my three options above btw..... :)

It's good that that the Caf is not heavily moderated, but it seems many of us agree there's just too much junk posted on here.

Some of the most obvious muppets are allowed to continue posting and it's driving away serious posters. It does take quite a bit of effort to find meaningful stuff on here nowadays.

I'm sorry if you feel those of us who feel this way should feck off and go to another forum. It seems you've chosen the muppets over serious fans. How you come to that decision I don't know. but it truly is :wenger: and :wenger:

The most feasible solution is the insider forum as on KT.

But as Niall has vetoed it that's that.

The other thing to do would be to charge for the use of the forum. That would weed out the casual posters, as well as repay Niall for vBulletin.

it has to be said there are more nutbags on here than any other forum ive ever encountered, but using the 'Ignore' feature is i feel infinitely preferable to censorship. there are crackpots though.

The thing is that this site becomes more known every day. The influx of young posters from all over the world who may or may not know a little less about the club than many of us and many of whom are obsessed with CM style formations and the possibility of buying of every foreign player under the sun and who cut and paste articles from other websites without actually bothering to ascertain whether they are truly newsworthy or not but do so with irritating frequency, leads me to conclude that MPTutd has a point. However doing something about changing all that is probably nigh on impossible, sadly.

Spot on.
Maybe the newbie forum could do with some revision.
Or a sinbin rather than banning wand for people who need a break from here.

Could you explain how you come to that conclusion?

Also what the hell is a serious fan?

Suggesting that every new member undergoes thorough examination before being 'let in', is complete and utter bollocks.

Don't get me wrong, I recognise there is a problem. This place has gone down hill in the past year or so. The number of muppets has multiplied, but as Dans pointed out, the place is growing, it can't be stopped. And as many others have said, that's what happens with communities, they change and eventually die.

As an ex moderator, one of the things that pissed me off about 'voluteering' is the total lack of gratitude towards the moderators and admin folk.

The moderators don't have to do what they do, Niall doesn't have to pay out of his pocket to keep this place running.

If you don't like how it's run, then feck off. Otherwise show a little gratitude and stop fecking moaning.

Agree. This is a great forum. I mean, where else can a Sporting Lisbon fan constantly remind MU fans about the 3-1 thrashing they got handed in Lisbon.

:D

All well and good to say that, if that is the case, and I will remind you that the place is under the same management, what about the infamous banning of the "scousers", and the "closing the door" to new members that happened in the past?

Draconian measures have been taken before now, so why not again?

Not that I am for it mind, but they have been taken.

Ban everyone that joined in the last year, and then close the door to new members, that will do the trick! ;)

Still great entertainment value. I think A1Dan has outed himself as rudzleftesticul (that spoof was TOO good) and I claim my £5. Most muppets find their own level and out&outWUMs get bored and feck off if no-one rises to the bait, ABUs will go on until the Evil Empire returns into sand, but Blues won't play (I'd rather eat my own vomit than post on a Spurs site)

WeasteDevil said:
You dont really mean that! :)
Oh but I do. When you lot return to midtable mediocrity (and keep buying mediocre players ....) then I won't be here. But we need to beat Spurs even if they're gonna get relegated it's an old wound that can't be healed.

We've been in the First Division & the Premier League longer than anyone (since 1919). I do believe you were grubbing around in the lower leagues not so long ago.

Why dont you just ask every poster on this forum who the last united manager was before ferguson. If only there was a way of turning off the net to those whod feel the need to cheat. :)

Im not confident 5% would know it. :(

"Beckham is great player!"? feck off.

This is what you said earlier:

If you dont like what other posters are saying why do you bother coming on here?, you can always go to another forum.

As you can see, in this thread alone there have been more complaints than appreciation - all coming from posters who would like to talk football and skip the bullshit - in the Manchester Unied forum atleast.

For you to say "if you don't like it you can feck off" simply means you have ignored the pleas of the more sensible posters who would like to rid the Caf of idiotic posters.

Not that we are complaining about the MODs here stoned, we know that it's a tough job and it's not paid either. However, it's quite apparent that certain members are allowed to disillusion themselves freely and create pointless threads with no end.

Personally I don't mind the ABU's who do make sense and are willing to argue their cases, same goes to the fans who have irrational ideas. But we do know there are idiots in here who just can't talk sense and need to feck off - wouldn't you agree?
