Rather than whinge about Liverpools penalty id have thought Arsenal fans would be better off questioning why, at home with a near enough full strength team they couldnt beat a Liverpool side which included the likes of Spearing/Robinson/Flannagan and Jonjo Shelvey? surely thats the crux of the problem here? you couldnt beat a Liverpool side missing half its players and a back line including 2 teens and a reserve CB....

To be fair to them, they defended like their arses depended on it. They stuck 9 men behind the ball and did a Stoke impersonation..fair play to the jammy cnuts.

Fairly sure we'd have smashed them sideways if they played any of their usual jokers..Flanagan and the other bloke on the left hand side look like they can actually defend.

Maybe I'm clouded by my obvious bias, but I'd have thought that the penalty we got today was one of the more blatant ones we've had this season?

Very soft, IMO. Both Lucas and Fabregas went down from slight contact. Fabregas felt Spearing's leg and dove. Lucas did the same. As long as there was consistency, it works for me. And there was.

Tell you what mate. Had Javier Mascherano still been at the club, & had put in the type of performances we've seen from Jay Spearing recently. Then most people would be claiming that he's well worth the £20 million we'd paid for him.

I think you can count yourself lucky we don't have any wide men. I'm sure that will be rectified in the near future. & Along with some of the excellent, creative players we've got coming through. Then maybe we'll be able to play a more attacking game. Thus giving you the opportunity to 'smash us sideways'.

One final comment. When you refer to opposition players as 'jokers'. You might want to remember who was responsible for conceding your penalty.

This is a stupid thread but some of the Arsenal fans comments are hilarious.

'nobody who has ever played football gives that pen', hmm, didn't former Arsenal player Alan Smith say in the post match analysis that it was definitely a pen? I honestly don't know how anybody could say that wasn't a pen, Eboue mounted him like he was on heat for god sake!

Bit of an ill-timed thread, with the possibility of our season doing a full implosion still very much possible. You sure would look a right ol cock if we pulled a fast 1 and ended up with nothing this season.

Luckily for you, SAF will see that that does not happen. Still not the best idea for a thread. It can be amusing and  when a team implodes and just refuses to learn from their previous excuses, but to claim the thread title and OP is a bit "premature".

It isn't over yet but Arsenal have to win all their games to sustain any kind of challenge right now. Their next two fixtures are very tough.

I've given up laughing at his delusions. I honestly think he's the last living neanderthal.

I honestly believe its Wenger. Anyway its people like him that will allow Arsenal to continue to be bottlers because its anyones fault but Arsenals.

You have to look at the team though, to score in the 98th minute how weak and fragile do you have to be to conceed in the 101st?! They looked so nervous diving into every single tackle.

Holy fecking sweet shit :eek::eek::eek:
I switched the TV off when Arsenal scored from their pen as I was disgusted.I didn't have any internet and I just found out about the result :lol:

That's really late!

You have to understand my disappointment by the way I shut myself from any footballing news when Arsenal scored the penalty.Football is the craziest sport ever

I very nearly switched off, I'm not sure why I didn't to be honest, but I'm so glad I stayed with it.

I caught it on a replay last night as I was about to tuck into dinner.

What a rollercoaster few minutes. I almost felt sorry for the players, they could have had the same result after 90 minutes with 4 added minus all the drama.

One wonders how many people are out there who still think it finished 1-0 to Arsenal...

Maybe one or two still think Bayern won 1-0 in 99...

I was watching the game on and off. Was giving my youngest one a bath when Arsenal scored, and turned it off to get him out.

Only realised an hour or two later, when I had put the kids to bed that Liverpool had equalised :D

I had 50 quid on a 1-1 draw which meant that was one of the best finishes of any game in my life.

Thank fluke for Alien Nation head lookalikes and Eboue!

I think I love Arsenal more than you. What would the Premier League be out with weekly feck ups from your bottling losers? Deluded Arse fans aren't kidding when they say Arsenal are the most entertaining team - they really are!

For what it's worth, even though you again win feck all this year - I am highly entertained.

If this thread appeared on RAWK or Blue Moon we would be laughing at how pathetic it is.

I found out from Livescore. I remembered the other semi and was shocked at the result. Then I scrolled just down to see Arse - Liverpool 1-1 and celebrated in the middle of Oxford Street. Needless to say that I couldn't stop laughing when I saw both penalties had been scored in the 90th minute. It was even funnier when I saw the highlights

I love the bit where Gillespie basically admits that the reason he logged on was so he could have a record of "taking his medicine" so he could troll the shit out of the place if we fail to do the double.

This from Gillespie, so famous for avoiding his medicine there is a Caf airline named after him.

Business trips, eh?

We got robbed by the ref

Everybody has had their share of bad decisions by refs, it sucks, yes... but no excuse.

United has catalogues of bad calls, but they are able to overcome the human factor of refs that get it wrong.

Ya' see, the problem with Arsenal is clearly evident... they are only psychologically willing to match a opponent's score, then they lose all heart. They give up... maybe it's just a French genetic defect?

The ironing is delectable.

Can't believe the way Arsenal have folded this season. Wenger was absolutely distraught yesterday.
