I think I love Arsenal more than you. What would the Premier League be out with weekly feck ups from your bottling losers? Deluded Arse fans aren't kidding when they say Arsenal are the most entertaining team - they really are! :lol:

I could - but usually it's Arsenals job to bottle it from a seemingly invincible position - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, if you will.

Ughhh...Keep in mind, should we lose to both Arsenal and Chelsea they'll be level with us on points? Not to mention we've got Newcastle away etc.

Don't know about that, all I know is what is recorded in history and what is recorded is that you've drawn again when you needed to win, consequently the league table isn't looking to rosey for you.

This is a strange and pointless thread but if you want to make excuses for Arsenal's recent collapse, you need to explain how you drew a blank against Sunderland, Blackburn and Liverpool (for 90+ minutes) in consecutive games. At home.
 
We've got at least five threads about Arsenal where they are answering to our posts.

Obviously we needed sixth!

In what way were you robbed? you got your customary 'were in trouble give us a penalty ref' freebie you always get at the emirates and then saw fit to feck it up against a Liverpool team of teenagers and reserves.

Not the refs fault you lot are spineless fannies with a surrender monkey mentality.
 
Maybe I'm clouded by my obvious bias, but I'd have thought that the penalty we got today was one of the more blatant ones we've had this season?

It was very Arsenal-ish if you like not surprising you saw it as stone wall given the little contact it takes for you guys to get penalties, it was the sort of penalty you wont see given at 18 grounds in the premier league, if you look at it there's very very minimal contact and Fabregas spins around and throws himself to the ground for affect, the ref, as usual at the emirates caved in and gave it to you, your 16th penalty of the season.....and youve the nerve to question referee decisions, youve been given more leg ups than the rest of the league combined.

I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say I doubt very much that even United fans would agree that our penalty today wouldn't be given at 18 other grounds. Out of interest, is the 19th ground Old Trafford?

You know as well as i do you get a ridiculous number of soft freebies at the emirates, season after season statistically more than anyone else, especially us, weve had 3 league penalties all season to your 16.....

Nah more likely the fact our players tend not to throw themselves to ground in the penalty area after being sneezed on at every opportunity and if they do they rightly get told to get up its like an unwritten rule at the emirates your fans know it to seeing as every time a red jersey goes to ground in the box your yelling for a penalty.

The good thing is though unlike Arsenal we havent needed referee favours from the spot to beat teams at home whilst you lot haven't scored a league goal at home in open play for how many hours?

If our players dive, it's up to the ref not to award a penalty. If you posted this on any forum that wasn't a United one, you'd be laughed off immediately for that. We get more penalties because we're less direct in the box. We pass it about looking for the space, whereas United tend to just shoot more. You might say that was a more effective thing to do. Still doesn't get away from the fact that not all our penalties have been as a cause of dives.

We were shit and we practically gave a less-than-impressive City a trophy as a result. Thankfully you did the same for us today, only a far more important trophy.

I didnt say all of your penalties were because of dives, i said the majority of your penalties are very soft and are given if theres the slightest contact as see today, surely you cant actually ignore the statistical evidence on this matter?

Its clear to see if theres a 50/50 in the box your attacking more than any other team youll get the call in your favour, for whatever reason, maybe its down to the refs buying into the media stuff about your flowing football and needing to be protected from the big nasty thugs of the game hence when an Arsenal player drops it has to be a foul.

Who knows, but i must say i did find it slightly amusing when, on commentary martin tyler said 10 minutes from time and i quote "you wouldn't bet against a late Arsenal penalty here with there tip tappy play in the box"...too true Martin.
 
Both were penalties and it was an almighty feck up by Arsenal.

That's about all that needs saying. Given the difficulty of the remaining games, I am not celebrating yet.

The season is not over yet. Why can't you wait till the season is over. Finding it hard to keep your mouth shut for one more month? One more month is all you had to wait for!
 
No doubt about Arsenal's penalty.

Eboue was being Eboue. I'd be upset at the player rather than the referee if I was an Arsenal fan. Admittedly a soft penalty, but still a penalty.

You got robbed? That Eboue penalty was as clear cut as they come today. Everyone agreed it was a penalty but then again you are the only one who can still come up with excuses, no matter what happens, for your team not winning a game.

Fair play to the Gooners for even logging on. They deserve more credit than the thread starter does in fairness.
