Would've gone for Luiz if I went villa. Bailey has had two returns once this season which was in gw2 and doesn't get more than one return. Little to no bonus with no other avenues to points. Plus his minutes can be shared with Diaby and they have Europe coming up. Not gonna take that headache with all the other stuff going on.

But overall going villa is a perfectly fine option. Hwang on 10 goals this season a mid in FPL playing up front for a fairly attacking team vs a garbage defence and on pens is just an obvious ticket to buy and chase the upside.

Yeah Europe and the Diaby factor is a fair point. He's definitely first choice now though. I know Luiz is the smart play but it's just so yawnful.

I think Wolves are better on the counter with their pacey attackers. Sheffield United might sit quite deep.

Do you play FPL for getting points or watching some stepovers?!

Sheffield have been playing a high line unless it's big teams. That's how I spiked my captain haul with Watkins. Doubt they will park the bus vs Wolves but either way they are garbage and you just target the worst teams in the league and try to get lucky.

I'm really tempted to make Garnacho captain over Haaland. Partly out of United bias, partly from Garnacho being so close to be a big points haul every game

I like the idea of Hwang but I will go Luiz (Bailey is a no-go for me). Yeah, it's shit and boring but at the same time, it allows me to attack a much bigger GW for my FH rather than the pile of shit that is GW29 and that's where my excitement/points will come.

With that said, if Hwang manages to play GW29, I will massively regret this move.

I'm silently hoping GW29 opens up for a FH as it's much less risk. FH in a double looks great but you can just as easily get fecked. Exactly what happened this GW for those who Free hitted out the likes of Saka Watkins etc and would've had a red arrow. But anyway I'm open to all options for now.

So are you targetting a GW30 WC to get rid of players you accumulated for GW29?

I've decided I'm not captaining Haaland this GW. But do I give the armband to Saka or Odegaard? Which one has the higher expected points?

After refusing to bring back Saka for 4 weeks (10 pts, 9pts, 15pts, 15pts), I have brought him back this week. You are fecked.
 
Anyone for a Watkins cappa this week?! Feeling like I'll end up going Haaland because I'm a coward but it's nice to pretend at this point.

I have it on Watkins at the moment. I'm probably not catching anyone at this point so open to gambling on a differential after the TC fiasco of informed opinion. I'm doing terribly so expect a red for Watkins...

I can easily get to 7 players and will need a -12 to field 11.

So basically I need to do this:
GW26: Jota to Luiz
GW27: Roll transfer
GW28: Haaland and Rodri to Morris and Barkley.
GW29: Line up with the below:

Raya
Porro, Doughty, Saliba
Barkley, Son, Luiz, Foden
Twatkins, Morris, Solanke

Subs: Dubs, Estu, Branthwaite, Saka

That's assuming no injuries or no upsets in the FA Cup. I was really going for it until I counted the numbers earlier and realised I will have 7 before transfers but for some reason in my head, I thought I would have 8 :lol:

So yeah, after writing this, my mind is made up. FH in GW29 unless there are upsets (please Leeds, do us all a favour).

Yeah, not sure I’d be using transfers on people like Barkley. Luiz and Morris at least have some longer term value but there’s a danger people mould their team just to get 7/8/9/10 players in 29 and then their team is crap. Only worth it if WC after
 
Not sure if even FH 29 is worth it when everyone will have exactly the same team and probably the average score that week will be like 35/40 points. Might just ride the GW out with 4/5 players :lol:

The plan was to WC right after but I originally thought I'm taking a -8 to field 11 but as I was replying to you, I realised it's a -12, which just isn't worth it.

You don't have to field 11 though. Especially not worth hitting in defenders or a GK.

I think you have to look at who the essentials are in 29 who can seriously damage you and work out if you can get them without a free hit.

I'd only be worried about not owning Son, Rich, Watkins, Toney and maybe Bowen if they can sort themselves out. Obviously if a better team or two drops in this changes.

Agree with this.

Ive got three of those… can already field eleven this week so don’t need to use a transfer… roll it, have two for next GW and by then, we’ll have clearer idea on GW29.
