Oh. I would've 100 % gone Bowen. Talisman, leading the line, in great form, playing 3 of the worst defences (15th, 20th, 14th) next.

Foden is the ultimate fool's gold

Which Luton player can I bring in for the troll Gordon? They have a sure shot scoring game against Chelsea next

Bowen will come in next week. I can't not have any City attack at home to Sheffield United.

Ending on 41, mostly because my 4-man defence scored 70% of my bench keeper. All in all, good week but annoying that I Son didn't do better as well as Bowen

Red arrow, safety was 9 points away. Could have been a lot worse though - Spurs and Arse been shite saved me

56p and 40k overall, things are going the right way. Have 2 FTs for next gw, but not sure if I want/need to do anything?
Line-up is:
Areola
Porro - TAA - Gabriel
Palmer - Saka - Salah - Son
Darwin - Solanke - Watkins

Looking at it I might want to put Alvarez in for Darwin.

Yeah this round of fixtures has definitely focused my mind a bit about transfers in the coming weeks.

Bowen is definitely coming in. I just can't get on board with Richarlison at all. He's never been and never will be a striker. Arsenal are a minefield. They don't look anywhere near as good as last season and doubling up on them feels wrong. Hell even owning Saka feels wrong at the moment. Brighton can score against anyone. It looks like Jao Pedro is the one to own currently especially after comments from De Zerbi but you have to drop one of Solanke, Watkins or Haaland to own him. Solanke is the form man at the moment, Watkins has amazing fixtures and Haaland is Haaland and will be straight back in when fit.

Thinking it might be worth benching one of Salah or Son now and rolling with a 3-4-3 in the coming weeks. Bench Son and roll with

Bowen Saka Palmer Foden
Haaland Solanke Watkins

with Son benched and just tinker with that. Make sure the money and transfers are there to get Salah back in when he returns.

Used the same logic, Bowen will replace Salah and I've gone with Foden this week which also allowed me to grab Walker. Gordon and Trippier gone.

Martinez
TAA Porro Walker
Salah Son Saka Foden Palmer
Watkins Solanke

Benched Dubravka, Branthwaite, Gabriel and Raul.

It'll be insane when Salah and Son are gone next week, budget won't matter anymore.

What captains are we thinking for GW20?

I'm going safe with Salah, as he usually scores against Newcastle and they've been ass lately.

Subject to change following the press conferences but my current WC draft (£6.7m ITB for Haaland)

Martinez, Areola
Saliba, TAA, Porro, Gusto, Doughty
Bowen, Palmer, Son, Richarlison, Saka
Watkins, Solanke, Archer

A part of me wants to bin Son (Asia Cup), Richarlison and Watkins (don't trust them) and Solanke (great form but fixtures may turn) but not sure for who.

Thought about a City player but Pep roulette worries me.

Any tips or thoughts are appreciated!

I'll go with Salah. Not ready to digest the pre-game news of Foden being rested.

No chance. They've still got Doku, KDB and Haaland out. Even when they're back he's surely ahead of Grealish for the wings and Alvarez will be more likely to get rested the amount of minutes he's played this season. Foden is key at #10 currently.

Trusting you with that then.

I don't know what to do!

Still got Haaland, so tempting to move him on even if it's for 1 week as I no other City assets for this plum fixture. Thing is, I need next weeks transfer for a Salah replacement so don't want to use it bringing Haaland back.

Twatkins is pissing me off with 4 blanks in the last 5, first time I've called him that after having him all season. Belatedly bringing in Solanke for the long term is an option. Mind you, Villa have Burnley at home and if he's going to find his scoring boots again this could be the week.

Could field a 4-5-1 with decent fixtures for many apart from Gordon away at Liverpool. His form has dipped anyway, another with 4 out of 5 blanks, so moving him on could be the move. There's the City option I mentioned, or Palmer who I still don't have.

I have 2 FTs and no idea what to do. Hwang out should probably be one if he's doubtful and I should try and get TAA in. But I'm out on the beers shortly so will let hungover nickosaur deal with this tomorrow.

Alvarez for (c)? Currently Watkins but wonder if Burnley defensive 721 and recent form suggests not.

Or is that a desperate chasing of differential?

I have it on him currently. Pens is a big bonus. Against Villa they (Sheffield) should've conceded several pens if the ref/VAR weren't blind.

Bit out of the ordinary, I'm doing Gordon>Gross.

Brighton have nice fixtures for the foreseeable and hardly ever fail to score. He doesn't get rotated like some of their players do, has 0.41 xGI/90. 15 BPS on the season for him is not far off TAA and Trippier levels.

My team is crap lately so differential potential to haul me back up.

Gross is a nice differential. So is Joao Pedro and Estupinan

Ah, I can't do it! 0.1m short.

Only getting 5.9 for selling Gordon who is 6.2, and have 0.4m in the bank. Back to the drawing board.

Palmer, Ward-Prowse or hold Gordon now the options.

Why is everyone selling Gordon? He still hauls and gets in great positions. In the last game he had a tap in if the ball was squared to him (wrong decision from the attacker)

Liverpool, city and villa next. Can always bring him back after that.

Although... Maybe Son out is the better play as he's playing an in form Bournemouth and then off to Asia cup...

Alvarez for Archer with a 3-4-3 or Foden for Gordon with a 3-5-2?

I feel like Foden is a better mid-term pick but Alvarez is a great option for the armband this week and the latter provides a diff vs my ML rival who would have Foden / Bowen vs my Son / Alvarez.

I'd love to go to TAA but don't want to leave myself with only 1FT for GW21 knowing that 2 transfers (Salah and Son) are bookmarked already.
