Probably a Villa defender. Shame the full backs are rotation nightmares so it'll have to be a boring Pau or Konsa.
Was looking at Digne earlier. Isn't he guaranteed to start atleast the next 2 games as Cash is suspended? Pau is also showing up as flagged now.

Certainly the next one but it'll be him and Moreno competing now and I can't be bothered with the headache. Need someone nailed.

I know it's Luton but that Doughty has some pretty good attacking stats. Could play him when they're at home. I'd get him but I've got Kabore at the moment still.

Konsa has been a recent bandwagon choice but Villa fixtures are anything but easy and he's hardly an attacking thread.

I've had Konsa for a couple of weeks, didn't know he was a bandwagon choice, but never trust a Villa defender!

Had Brentford away without Mbeumo then Sheff Utd home, decent bets for clean sheets I thought.

Fixtures still look decent:

United A - 2nd worst attack in the league, failed to score in 4 consecutive games in all comps failed, to score 7 times in the league (joint worst), failed to score 3 times at home in the league (joint 13th)

Burnley H - failed to score 7 times (joint worst), only scored 18 all season like United

Everton A - failed to score 6 times (joint 15th), failed to score at home 4 times (joint worst)

Newcastle H - failed to score away 4 times (joint worst)

United, Burnley and Everton are 3 of the worst attacks in the league.
True for United but Villa's defence are not great away from home (and especially OT) and we can randomly do something.

Burnley just beat Fulham away (and cost me another Leno CS) and Everton are actually decent. On top of that, Villa's defence outside of that 1-0 double has been pretty spawny.

I'd go Zinchenko with the great Arsenal fixtures because he's basically a slightly worse Porro and does not purely rely on CS to score points (and usually plays). Might be controversial here but defence is poor this year. If you had the budget, I'd go TAA (definitely not Trippier, he's gone off the boil).

Who are people replacing Tsimikas with? I'll have 5m in the bank. Any suggestions?

I'm going to replace him with Zinchenko and I'm going to ship out Kieran Trippier and maybe get Porro in.

Nah, nothing controversial here. Fecking Arsenal conceded 3 goals against Luton. Even City haven't kept a CS in ages. They are all piss poor.

I already have Saliba and I hate doubling up on a defence who are struggling to keep clean sheets. Sigh, nothing shouting at me as an obvious transfer for the upcoming gameweek. Solanke for Alvarez was as obvious as it got as a straight swap this GW.

When are Son & Salah expected back? How many games will they miss? Assuming they're teams go really far...

I mean yeah but his budget is £5m. Slim pickings below that price tbh.

What's wrong with swapping Tsimikas out for Gomez?

Is Robertson back imminently?

I'm going to do some half arsed statistical research like I did with Konsa above before making my choice even though that's failed so far.

Difficult few decisions ahead.

Maguire and Tsimikas are presumably out. Lascelles night be as well.
So need to be careful that I can field a back 3.

Whilst also being aware that Darwin is a huge bust and needs out.

Plus how to get Haaland back in when/if he's back.
Plus Salah and Son off soon.

Lot to weigh up there.
Might actually be worth binning a defender for Trent.

Then simply get Haaland back in via Salah's fee soon.

Klopp said maybe January but no guarantee

Be out ages with a broken collar bone?

Palmer managed to get himself a 1 match ban.

Tsim, Maguire and Palmer out for the next game, Lascelles doubtful.

Will definitely have to postpone binning Darwin. Tsim to Trent probably the play here.

6-12 weeks last time I read.

For a cheap defence pick, I fancy Braithwaite at home as the defence back-up. Everton have been more than decent and if I had any spare transfers, is ship out Maguire or Colwill for him (and get some money).

With Palmer getting suspended I'm now tempted to roll my transfer and (hopefully) just play the only 11 available players i have. Which is a massive risk, but Archer does have Luton.

Very risky then I'd have 2x FTs to be better prepared for KDB/Haaland.

My players keep getting injured or suspended.

Nkunku looks like the buy to get moving forward, he will be a differential plus he is guaranteed to play as palmer and Sterling are both suspended, plus chelsea have easier fixtures than other teams coming up

My team:

Raya
Kabore, Porro, Saliba
Son, Salah, Saka, Gordon,
Alvarez, Twatkins, Archer

Subs: Dubravka, Branthwaite, Palmer, Tsimikas

Plan was to:

GW19: roll
GW20: Alvarez to Haaland
GW21: Salah & Son to Richarlison & Bowen

but with Tsimikas injured, it's it worth doing him to Doughty/Konsa this week and make GW21 a hit?

Also... Dubravka Vs. Raya this week?

If Gomez is like last season’s gomez then say goodbye to clean sheets. A real joker in defence.

Personally (and ive made lots of poor decisions this season), I’d look to roll… the three defenders have ok fixtures?

Raya.

What am I doing with myself on Christmas Eve? Just spent ages doing a scientific, yet very unscientific assessment of the best club clean sheet possibilities for the next 6 games using some formula I pulled out of my arse. It's to help with my Tsimikas replacement.

I ranked the clubs and their fixtures in 4 different ways, gave them ranking points from 20 down to 1 in each category and the numbers are just those points added together. I won't bore anyone with the details. Max possible score was 80, minimum 4.

No surprise to see the usual suspects up there. I'm going Zinchenko because I can afford him.

Liverpool 78.5
Arsenal 73.5
Aston Villa 72
Newcastle 63.5
Man City 63
Spurs 54
Crystal Palace 53.5
Fulham 50
Chelsea 46.5
Brentford 42.5
Everton 42.5
Man United 41.5
Wolves 31
Bournemouth 28.5
West Ham 27
Luton 24
Nott'm Forest 22
Brighton 10.5
Burnley 8
Sheffield Utd 8

Might regret this, really tempted to captain either Saka or Gordon because of West Ham and Forest being very leaky away. Might do Sterling>Richarlison and take a hit.

Dubravka
Zinchenko Konsa Lascelles Porro
Gordon Saka Salah Bowen
Haaland Watkins

Turner Archer Branthwaite Sterling (suspended)

Well I'm in pretty much the same position as you and I just did Tsimi to Doughty. Playing the same team as you except Trippier and Solanke where you've got Kabore and Alvarez. Will be bringing in Haaland back in 20 if he's fit for Solanke.

I don't mind playing Doughty in 21 either and just bringing in Bowen then grabbing a City mid in 22. Hopefully KDB?

Not watching arsenal games, how is Saka doing? Feels crap to have him and keep seeing 2 pointers.

Tsim to Trent is the play for me this week. One more fecking week of Darwin who should start with Diaz out but should time well with 2FT next week to bring Haaland in and downgrade Salah to Bowen/Kudus/Foden/Kula/Richarlison

Does anyone know if prices will change as normal for those going on AFCON / Asia Cup?

There’s going to be a lot of transfers out of Salah and Son in particular who have quite a lot of value tied up in them I’d imagine

Kudus is going to afcon
