Turner actually played at the weekend!
When I was looking at 2 non plating keepers so shipped him for Sanchez.

Now Sanchez joins Areola yellow flagged. Can't make it up!
Areola was supposedly close for the last game though.

As long as a keeper from above plays i can probably do the Haaland out transfer. Bring Watkins back in, as its inevitable the hapless Darwin suddenly hauls against us.

Maybe I’m mad but I’m Considering a freehit with Trippier, Haaland and James out and no one on the bench who plays.

James gotta be the respawn troll of Marcos Alonso.

A free hit will only delay two of those problems for a week. Haaland and James won't play in gw18 either.

Yeah. Didn't wanna risk it.

The fact that no one still knows anything about price changes actual algorithm is crazy.

Yeah be interesting to see if Haaland drops over the next 2 gw's. Common sense says he will but you know that they control the changes.

If I take a -4 to bring Watkins in today I might be able to roll in 18 anyway so I can definitely get him back in if he doesn't drop. Watch Palmer get his 5th yellow though next week now. Kind of happy that Trippier got his out of the way. He desperately needs a rest by the look of him.

I have the same plan. Will likely roll next week.

I think or rather hope Porro and Watkins can cover the 4 points over non playing Haaland and Mengi in one gw.

Even if they don't they're both great long term holds as you say.

I'm still coming to terms with the fact I binned Leno 2 weeks ago for Dubravka. 11 points lost. But again my justification is I need that money to bolster my outfield. Fulham won't keep this up surely and Newcastle will get some form back soon.

Even if I sell Son, I have no idea who to buy.

Richarlison? feck that! City play Luton but then blank. And if Son is back for GW18, then he's a great pick that week vs Everton at home.
Since Maddison got injured (5 GWs ago) Spurs have lost 4 and drawn 1, they've kept 0 clean sheets and Son has generated a grand total of 0,69 xG and blanked in 4 out of 5 games....
Injured or not; Why bother with Spurs players the next month?

They are not good picks.
Horrible picks I tell you. Horrible! :wenger:

My team for next week reads:

Dubravka
Porro Gabriel TAA
Son Saka Gordon Palmer
Haaland Solanke Watkins

I got only Garnacho on my bench as Branthwaite and Trippier are banned.

If Haaland is not healthy I think I'm taking a hit to replace Garnacho.

Team with no FT left.

Dub
Saliba-Porro-Udogie
Saka-Palmer-Sterling-Diaby
Watkins-Alvarez-Haaland

Cash and Garnacho from the bench.

Probably needs to replace Cash and Diaby if Haaland dont play, but that would means -8. Feels like i am totally fecked at the moment.

Looks frighteningly similar to my team next GW:

Dubravka (Johnstone)
Mykolenko, Colwill, Zinchenko (Tripps, Lamptey)
Salah (C), Son (V), Gordon, Palmer, Saka
Watkins, Solanke (Darwin)

3,9M ITB

Next GW will probably be Lamptey -> Porro
and then WC for GW19.

I'm holding fire on Haaland. With Trippier missing another GW, I can wait for him but you just cannot waste transfers this year, forget the price rises.

Haha. That Xg thing is surprising and for me is one of those occasions where stats don’t tell the whole story. I never even considered taking Son out even though his price was dropping.
Apart from that Wolves game Son has had loads of near misses, disallowed goals etc. and spurs have been so attacking that I feel it was inevitable he’d haul sooner rather than later. That’s now two hauls in the last three games and against top opposition.

I think as an Alvarez owner I'm gonna have to wait for Haaland news aren't I and take the price hits. If he's fit imagine I take a -4 and then Alvarez is benched or injured playing midweek. I'd be fooked.

Nope and the more I listen to the Pep quote the more confused I get. You can interpret it in two ways depending on where you put the comma.

He's either hopeful that he's fit for Palace or hopeful that he's fit for Saudi Arabia.

Yeah, don't really understand the moves to take Haaland out now. Given his price, he's going to be pretty easy to bring in again when needed as any replacement will allow you enough $ in the bank to use on him again - unless you want to bring in expensive replacements elsewhere.

Thing is I want to keep Watkins after so it's not like for like in this case. I'll be doing Haaland>Watkins and then probably Alvarez>Haaland when he's back so every price rise on Watkins or drop on Haaland/Alvarez is a pain in the bum and needs to come off someone else as currently I'm already £0.1m short of doing that.

Nah, that's pussy play. Show the size of your balls like me and @Moby did. Do it now!

Do it! Do it! Do it!

Trying to do my sums regarding Haaland. Think he's a hold for me unless he's out for GW19 or beyond. I'd be taking a -4 to replace him as I really need to bring in a defender this week.

So new striker starting with a -4 handicap has to score more than my bench forward Archer over 2 weeks. Will assume Archer scores 2 a week because that's what he mostly does even though he averages 2.9.

9 points needed so far over 2 weeks to make it a positive over playing Archer for 2 weeks. I would also have to use the GW19 transfer to bring Haaland back if he only misses GW17 and his blank GW18. A transfer has to be worth an amount of points but how many?

I know I've made 28 transfers this season including the wildcard and I'm 87 points better off from my original team but it can't be as simple as 87/28 can it? That would make a transfer worth 3.1 points but that seems steep. Just going to say a transfer is worth 1.

So I'd need 10 points over 2 weeks from whoever I bring in to make it worthwhile at an average of 5 a week.

Very doable if picking the right player. On the other hand, outside of Watkins who I have, and Haaland himself, Alvarez is the only forward in the game who averages 5 per match and he has a blank GW18 too of course.

Haaland in! Will transfer him out GW19 if need be when we have more info. If it weren't for the -4 hit I'd do it.

Edit: I'm taking this too seriously aren't I?

By the end of the week you will be very well poisoned into a Dominic Solanke trap.

Ah feck it. Twatkins in. Been a thorn in my side for long enough as it is anyway.

The hits keep coming...
I can see your balls from all the way up here, they're fecking huge.

Who else wants to show their balls and sell Haaland now?

Come on then, show us your balls!

 Stuff like this is why I'm loving this game. My first season playing and it allows you to be geeky as feck with numbers and stats.

There's other factors I could go into but I'll leave it for now.

What if Archer actually pulled a goal or assist out of somewhere? Would need Haaland's replacement to score 13 or 14 over 2 weeks to make it equitable.

What if Archer gets injured or sent off next week? I'm screwed. What if Haaland's replacement did if I brought someone in? Same.

Haaland's price may drop, and I could bank the difference when bringing him back in, that would be a plus point.

What if Haaland surprisingly starts vs Palace, or we don't get told ahead of time he's back and starts in GW19 before having a chance to bring him back? Going to keep him in the starting XI just in case, auto sub used if he's out as expected.

You never know, there's time yet! He'd be the one I go for, or a gamble on one of Isak/Wilson but it's impossible to predict who will play out of those two.

If I didn't have him already he's the one player I think is worth taking that hit for. You have my nod of approval sir!

 You heard him lads.

If Haaland drops to £13.9 I can get him straight back for Alvarez in 19.

I might even go Tsimikas > Konsa next week to make sure I've got the £0.1m spare just in case and have a better defender in 18.

I have sold Haaland way before but I’m definitely considering going for Solanke and selling Darwin. With his form and upcoming fixtures, Solanke will be a popular choice among players this gameweek. I just have a feeling that Darwin could get returns against us, he is consistently in good positions to score but his finishing is letting him down at the moment.

It's already obvious what will happen this weekend. Haaland will unexpectedly start, non owners will be raging, Haaland owners feeling smug, City will hit Palace for six and Haaland will get one assist, a booking and will be subbed after 65 mins.
