I'm not taking a hit for a defender no. Will bring Gabriel in around gw12 for Walker to free up the funds for Bowen. Arsenal midfielder is the priority next week.
Did intend to do a wildcard this week, but after a few scrabbles around think I'm going to have one last stand with Onana, Bruno and Rashy v Sheff Utd, then ruck them off for City the week after.
Bruno, Rashy, Son, Maddo, Diaby, with Alvarez and Haaland (with City finally having Rodri back) could yet be a great front 7.
Just need to make a better defensive sub then when Botman came in and was subsequently injured.
Have Saliba & Botman doubtful, Kabore not starting the last game, Gusto back from a 3 match ban and presumably back into the team, plus Cash!
Hope 2 of that sorry lot start and 1 sub on the 3rd, as late as poss!

Is Saka at 8.5 or 8.6? Different sites say 8.5 but in my FPL he says 8.6
He dropped to 8.5 last night

Non Haaland WC locked in. It's been a disastrous season so far so I may as well have fun with it. Thoughts on this?

Defence is probably the most critical for the free transfer, as only 1 of those back 5 is a certainty. Though I'm hopeful 2 of the others do play.
Any tips here? Have 0.8m to add, and only for 1 week, before wildcard time.

I have Alvarez but not sure if he is benched this week due to the travel.
Interesting, thanks for the heads up. May rethink the bench in that case.
I was actually just checking what happened in the last IB and he played 90 mins after coming back so probably should be ok.
What are the best one week punts for those WCing in GW10?

Cas hand (probably) Saliba should play. Kabore also should be back in the team for some minutes. If you want to guarantee 11 starters then I would say someone like Pedro Porro might be a good shout for one week. Playing a toothless Palace side and has massive attacking upside.
Yeah Almiron is a good one. Palace is a decent defense but I trust Newcastle at home. Villa at home have a great home record though in defense. Don't see that game very high scoring.
I'll have to sell Alvarez for that and I have Saka who might be injured so looking at midfield. Cant get Richa as I have 3 Spurs.
Who's most doubtful? Newcastle have the best chance of a clean sheet according to the odds so maybe get one of them especially if Botman is the biggest doubt.
Activated my wildcard last week and can't decide between Trippier and Neto or Burn and Martinelli. Thoughts?

If you've not got any Arsenal mid/attack it feels dangerous to not have any coverage, but Trippier seems to be on a mad run of form.
I feel like I'll regret not having Martinelli vs Sheffield United (H) but Trippier's points ceiling is so much higher than Burn's. I'll probably change my mind at least 3 times before the deadline!
I think we all have missed the boat with Trips points/haul (i have Trippier too btw), Newcastle fixtures will become good again around gameweek 17 - 19 though(gameweek 15- Everton and 16- Spurs)

Fair enough. For me i will move out Alvarez and Son(no Maddison or Richarlison) for Watkins and Saka for gw10, Udogie to Gabriel in gw12.(barring any injuries issue to my first 11).

Is Tsimikas a cert to start? I've seen a few Liverpool fans predicting Gomez to start LB as Tsimikas has underwhelmed in the cup games.

Can't risk not captaining Haaland. Brighton conceded 6 away to Villa, coupled with the fact that City will likely be a wounded animal after losing their last 2 league games.

I prefer Burn and Martinelli as Newcastle's fixtures get harder while Arsenal's get better.

Interesting stats leading into the Merseyside derby:
Liverpool
18 goals scored (18,74 xG) - 9 goals conceded (12,05 xGA) - 17 points (14,7 xPTS) - has been overperforming slightly so far this season.
vs.
Everton
9 goals scored (17,56 xG)!!! - 12 goals conceded (12,67 xGA) - 7 points (14,34 xPTS) - has been underperforming massively this season, especially in front of goal.
Statistically from chances created and conceded so far this season, these 2 teams should both be on 14/15 points with similar goaldifferences. So this game might be less onesided than many thinks and probably looks a lot better for Liverpool on paper than it really is.
Why would you want Szobo in your FPL team? Great player, but bad FPL pick.
Tsimikas is on my watchlist, but I won't go there before I know that Klopp goes for him over Gomez on LB.
I'd add a starting Spurs (Porro or Udogie), Liverpool (Matip or Tsimikas if we know he starts) or Newcastle (Burn) defender for Gusto.
