Fantasy Premier League 22/23

My younger brother has won it like 3 years in a row and is developing arrogance that he can’t be beaten. So it’s a big deal to be ahead with the season ending soon
You can always kick his ass as being older (stronger) big brother.:wenger:

Or take his phone, make -100 in transfers in FPL and say; "who is laughing now?"

Have you gone double Newc attack?
No. But I will need to do a -4 for that even with 2 FTs. Any other ideas?
I have zero doubt that Trenr on my bench will outscore this clown.

Interesting decision with 2 FT. I already have 6 dgw for next week but could be useful to shuffle them.

Any thoughts with this squad and 2 Ft? Nada in the bank.

Raya Iverson
Trent Shaw Trips Bots Estupid
Salah KDB Rashy Mitoma Mac
Haaland Isak Greenwood

That's an impressively stacked team. The only question mark is De Bruyne but with a double on the way and the title still to play for he's probably worth having around (seeing as you've got all the other essentials there aside from Kane).

Yeah if I were to do a real move them probably do KDB to Bruno or Mahrez now and then Salah to KDB or one of those two if KDB isn't looking great. But then selling KDB vs Everton could backfire badly.

I had Kepa and sold him. Keepers all look shite now so not really feeling that. But I guess better than burning a transfer.
Chelsea have Forrest, DGW, Newcastle
Brentford have Hammers, Spurs, City

Depends on if you think the Kepa DGW is worth it.

Forest scored 4 last night and fighting for survival. Then that dgw is horrible. United and City away. And Newcastle will pump a few past them as well.

Yeah that dgw doesn't look too good.

Stuck deciding on Mahrez or Gakpo to start. Both could be rotated, Gakpo fixture probably has more goals in it, but Jota - Diaz - Salah could well start that one.

What do we think?

Would be ultimate Pepping to rest Mahrez after 2 assists last weekend and not playing tonight.

Much more worried about Stones playing. Though being against his old team is the sort of thing managers love to do.

Heavy City rotation incoming? Can’t see some of these chaps starting after 90 mins today and huge game to come next week

Yeah you'd expect a similar team to the last league game. Foden, Mahrez, Alvarez to start.

Can't be too silly though until the league is wrapped up but whatever they put out should be good enough to get a result against Everton..

That's what Brighton thought and next thing they knew, Steele starts playing anti-fpl that knobhead.

Of course KDB scores in CL after blanking vs Leeds at home. Can't even sell this cnut now.

I’m tempted to move him out for Mahrez but if they go with their second team this weekend then it’s almost guaranteed he plays both in the double.

Also, City can’t really afford to drop points at Everton. They don’t want to be going into the final 3 games of season needing a result at both Brighton and Brentford.

Yeah gotta keep him. Don't think he misses more than one given he's been given 180 mins.

I don't mind doing the Enciso move but that means benching one of Rashford, Salah, KDB, Haaland. But as it is I am benching Trent who is looking better than Rashford right now.

I am tempted to get Enciso in next week. I could do Lindelof, March and Jota to some random defender, Bruno and Enciso/Welbeck. With March out he’s got to get good minutes. But I’ll worry about it in a week, team is locked now and Willock is leading me to the promised land.

The March point is decent. Going in with all three of Mits Mac Enciso isn't half bad. Rashford can take a rest.

Is enciso nailed now do we think? Looked good but Ferguson, undav, wellbeck...

I can't believe Schar has only scored one goal (at the right end) this season in GW1. Always looks a threat to me when I watch them. Not just from set pieces but he's got a thunderbastard of a shot on him.

Dyche always rolls over and plays into Guardiola’s hands - see Burnley’s famous ritual thrashings.

They’ll get absolutely battered. Don’t read too much into the Brighton performance - the same won’t happen with City.

I always say there's one issue with a lot of FPL managers and that is assuming high volume of shots or high xG means the goals are inevitable. There's a podcast from scout which is "Goals Imminent" where they do the same thing. There's a little skill called "finishing" without which taking shots or whatever is meaningless. Darwin is obviously the biggest example of that. I mean it's great in general to judge players like that and it comes off a lot of times but sometimes you just gotta detect traps who will not magically start scoring even in systems that allow them more chances. Sorry March was always a no for me for the same reason. Abysmal finisher and that ain't gonna change.

Why do people want Willock in their team, he hasn't done anything of note recently it seems?

I don't like Brighton's games even if they have a DGW, only have Mitoma and don't really feel the need to add anyone else especially with an apparent toss-up between Undav/Wellbeck/Enciso up front...

Callum Wilson is enticing, but he might be benched for one or both games in favor of Isak? Dunno.

Getting Mahrez in also seems nice especially with their DGW in 37 but I'd have to take out one of Saka, Gakpo or Martinelli.

I don't watch any shitty fpl podcasts to be honest. I do find the whole cliquey "we're experts" aspect of the community cringey as feck. A lot of the advice they give is basic as well, the equivalent of a Garth Crooks giving you his team of the week made up of everyone who happened to score that weekend.

Best thing to do is watch as many games as possible and decide for yourself.

Swapping out Saka for Mahrez seems like a no brainer, Saka’s went right off the boil for a while now.

Yeah I know... I just know the moment I take him out he'll be back for a goal and an assist.

Yeah the podcasts are pointless and they basically all copy each other anyway. That's why I was saying it's what they end up doing and it's a wrong approach to have at times.

I don't really have the time or interest to watch too many games so sometimes it's easy to catch the main stats and news with a quick pod. But mainly I generally try to bank on the quality of the player more than the underlying stats. Like I went with Saka over Almiron post restart when Almiron was the top mid in the game because I didn't think this utterly garbage attacker was turn into Mo Salah in two months.

The only one I follow are Ben Crellin and Big Man on Twitter. It's less advice driven and more data driven.
