Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Yeah I have Varane and Trippier in defense, Almiron, Rashford and Bruno in midfield from Brighton, Newcastle and United (don't know who the fourth team is that blanks).

So Almiron out right now would be better than Martinelli but can't replace him with an Arsenal player, nor can I afford KDB if I keep Bruno. Perhaps Mahrez instead of Almiron makes sense then, stay clear of KDB and just deal with Bruno and Varane right before GW25. I'm not getting rid of Rashford and Trippier.

I had been pondering the same move (Almiron out for Mahrez) but since I have Haaland, Kane and Mitrovic with favorable fixtures upfront plus Rashford, Bruno and two Arsenal guys in midfield I am not sure I would be that keen on replacing any of them with Mahrez - even with a double game week. I could easily see him getting 65-70 minutes in one game and then coming off the bench in the second one. Bernardo was another one on my mind but I hardly know what his role is these days and whether he’s in any way likely to get me any points. He seems to be shifting from one position to another, participating in the attacks in one game and then not at all in the next.

Agreed. City is a headache, also no clue how much their heart will be in the Arsenal game given the current ongoings around their club. The only mainstay should be Haaland to be honest, given KDB's poor form ever since November.

I'll still captain Haaland but a part of me wonders whether I should take a gamble and give the armband to Saka or Nketiah.

Also thinking to get rid of Martinelli, despite the DGW as I think Trossard might bench him in one of or both of the games.

Has to be a real chance he's rested for the easier of the 2 games.
That will be awesome.
It will probably be Ake vs. Saka, but yeah! It will be an attackers game. City scored 4 against Spurs just 2,5 weeks ago and can show up against anyone, Arsenal too.

Bruno's been brilliant since Ronaldo left, but he's the only one that will free enough money to make any sensible moves to Arsenal and City and away from the GW25 blankers. A double fixture is a bouble fixture even if one of the fixtures is tough, and I have too many (6) GW25 blankers now and I think I have get rid of at least 2 already now. Shaw is an alternative, but there isn't any defenders I want to move in for before GW25, so the changes must be made in the midfield/attack and I only have 1,0M ITB.
I'll probably go back to Bruno after the blank if he keeps up his form the next couple of weeks, also nice to know he's on pens.
Fair enough. You are in a worse situation than me. I have 4 blankers and 5 doublers for next week. Can easily roll with it and very easily field an eleven for 25. I'd rather sell Shaw than Bruno especially with Casemiro banned for 3 games now. Or just go with ten men in 25 if our guys look like the one to keep. Otherwise selling someone like Bruno who has been FPL gold in the past and playing for arguably a better attack than City right now for one of their players with the wacky rotation and shite form makes no sense for one extra game where they might get romped. I mean Bruno can very very easily outscore KDB in GW23.
Yep, personally I'd seen Kane destroy me that time he scored 16 points, and knew how hard I'd worked to get him in.

Bruno is back on the points trail so don't want to move him out.

I'll probably still look at Mahrez, but that's because Almiron has dropped off a cliff, and it's a free move.

My debate is whether I do Cancelo for -4 to one of the City boys, or wait a week for James to finish a game and then do that.
Almiron to Mahrez should be a no brainer.

With the mess City is in both on and off the pitch you would have a point if City's next three wasn't a double, Nottingham and Bournemouth. Bruno has Leeds, Leicester and a blank. It's hard to beat 2 extra fixtures, including the 2 easiest fixtures left on paper. If they can't get back to winning form the next 3 GWs, they might as well just fold their team now. I feel shit bringing in any City player after the weekends performance and the FFP mess they're in, but they have the best fixtures out of every team in the league the next 3 GWs and the best team, so it's tough to get around.

KDB vs Mahrez to replace Bruno?

Feeling KDB since surely Pep learned to start him now.

I could keep Bruno, but I always go for doubles.

Alternative option is Martinelli to Mahrez and Mitro to Nkethia, but Jesus on his way back.

We only really need Haaland from City let's face it. Rashford, Bruno, Arsenal mids, Brighton mids, Maddison probably all better long term picks than playing Pep roulette every week with an out of form team.

I think the season keepers in my team at the moment are Trippier, Saka, Rashford, Haaland and Kane. I will look to move KDB on after Bournemouth in GW25.

Really tempted with Joao Felix, not sure I'll bring him in this week but he's definitely the main striker I want to have in my team along with Haaland still.

Have Bruno already and can bring in De Bruyne next to him but not sure If KDB is a better option then what I already have, even with a double! (Have Mitoma, Bruno, , Almirion, Rashford & Saka,)

Probably kdb if it’s temporary. People have switched kdb to mahrez because kdb wasn’t good value, but that’s a more permanent thing. Although I’m thinking of getting rid of mahrez for Mitoma after his blank if he’s still firing.

This is my team for GW22 and looks like I might roll the transfer and go with the same team for GW23

Kepa
Trippier Burn Shaw
Rashford Martinelli KDB Odegaard Mitoma
Haaland Kane

Bench: Ward, Mitro, Thomas, Bueno

Tempted to go Mitro to Nketiah but who will I bench? Thinking 4 doubles are decent at this stage of the game.

Use the two FT next week to get players who play in the blank GW25. Remove Burn and Bueno

I couldn't find Felix in the Chelsea squad.

Realised that they have so many players than you have to flick over to page 2

I am thinking Toney to Felix.

I really like Felix as a player and was initially hyped about him, but it's Chelsea, his minutes and position are unknown, and he's never been such a goal scorer - I'm not sure myself. The third striker slot is such a puzzle, I'm stuck with Toney myself but would love to move him, not sure when that happens. Felix plays GW25 and might have a double, so he's tempting, but it's still early I guess. Perhaps 3-5-2 is really the way?

I just sold KDB for Bruno and even before our second game, it has paid off already - no idea whether I bring KDB back for the DGW. He looked so bad since the restart and I don't share the sentiment many here and online seem to have, that after he was benched and they lost against Spurs he's now sure to start two upcoming games. It's incredible to think Pep's roulette and minutes of KDB/Mahrez make me want to go into a City DGW with just one of their players, Haaland - and I'm not even sure if he's such a great TC option this week, for those who still have the chip!

My early plan is just to do Martinelli -> Saka, but it feels so wrong as it doesn't help me navigate the blanks.

With Nketiah's price probably going up tonight the transfers for GW23 is now done. And the team looks like this:

Kepa (Ward)
Trippier, White, Shaw (Badiashile, Bueno)
KDB, Mahrez, Odegaard, Rashford (Mitoma)
Haaland (TC), Nketiah (V), Kane

0,9M ITB

Sitting on 1370 points with Rashford (C), Bruno and Shaw to play this GW.

It'll be an exciting week.

Saka and Akanji for Martinelli and Patterson for a -4? Would give

Kepa
Shaw - Trippier - Akanji
Rashford - Odegaard - Saka - Bruno - KDB
Haaland - Nketiah

-4 to get rid of a DGW player for another DGW player? Not sure if worth it to be honest.
Slightly concerned with Martinelli fading and becoming the first forward to be subbed, whereas Saka is the star man as well as on pens (and never getting subbed). If Saka scores just one goal, it's probably worth it both short and long term. Brentford and City aren't slouches, though.

He looked absolutely crap before his sending off. Good luck with that

Should of used the TC on Rashford this week, now not sure whether to use it on Haaland next week or save it for later in the season?

Martial and Antony confirmed out v Leeds.
I was very close to going for Antony instead of Bruno, so that I could keep KDB. Glad I did the KDB/Bruno otherwise I'd be jumping out a window.

That actually does fit in with my plans anyway. Was turning Thomas into Kilman in 24 and hoping Patterson was fit for 25. If not he's turned into Tarkowski.

Question is KDB > Salah for -4 or not?

Already have Odegaard, Nketiah, Martinelli, KDB and Haaland with one free transfer.

Thinking of bringing in Mahrez and Saka for Bruno and Martinelli for a hit.

Could just go Bruno to Mahrez and keep Martinelli but I really want to get Saka in.

OK this looks fun...

GW24 - Kilman in for Thomas
GW25 - Tarks in for Patterson, Salah in for KDB (6 doublers)

Wildcard week before a Bench Boost (should be good this year with so much value and nailed starters). Free Hit for either a big blank or another double.

GW28 is shaping up to be a fairly big blank but Arsenal, Newcastle, Everton, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Villa, Palace and Forest all play for sure. 2 of Leeds/Wolves and Liverpool/Fulham will definitely join them as well so I think this could be navigable with transfers too. I'd have 7 (in 25) plus 3 FT's to add more.

Up to you mate, but his stats arent bad and minus 4,i dont know mate but Saka has penalties though.

Sorry to hear that. Average score this week is apparently 120.

What are you on about? My GW rating is in the top 4k and highest score is 117.

Not sure you're even in the top 4k scores in the redcafe league this week pal.

here fishy wishy

Currently sitting at 465,168 overall place

Not sure what to do

Kind of want rid of Mitro and Pereira + Patterson but only got one transfer, 4m in the bank
Already have Martinelli, Ødeggard and Haaland for the coming double week.

Thinking maybe White or Mahrez or both and take a -4 hit

Free hit in GW 25 or will it be needed for a big blank GW upcoming?

I have Trippier, Shaw, Rashford, De Gea, Schar, Mitoma and Estupinan all missing for GW 25 plus Liverpool, Everton, Wolves and Arsenal all have a double GW that week, could be a big play to use the free hit that week I'm thinking.

Thinking the exact same thing as I have at least 4-5 players who will blank and at the same time just go for double game players

Was planning the same before that announcement... Now it confirms it for me. Also, feck Salah and feck Liverpool.

Any Brighton, Newcastle or Brentford players on your bench? If yes, this is a good plan in my book (I've taken hits for 44 points myself this season). Maybe see if Patterson has a chance of getting back before GW25 first, if he does, then I would ship out another player with a blank in GW25. Good on you that you have the 3+M in funds to make the upgrades.

If he think's Maritnelli is a bad pick in the long run, he's got to do that "sideways" move sometime soon anyway. Doing it now when they have 2 doubles in the next 3 GWs, if he also needs to clear out some blankers for 25, doesn't seem so bad to me.

Im not saying that it is a bad move mate,i just do not think Trossard will take away that much playing time that we fear. Suddenly he takes Saka`s place cause he needs a rest. Its not always easy to predict.
