Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Ok lads. Sort of wished I'd left things alone last week in the end - as Zaha's massive haul and Haaland's 95th min goal basically left me neutral versus my changes.
But now I have no Haaland.

Assuming risking not having him is no sort of decision, which of these is the way to deal with it? (I have 3 City players so one of them has to be binned)

4 choices, all for -4
  1. Alvarez and Kane to Haaland and 6.7m (Solanke seems a hot choice for some inexplicable reason - and Martial is 6.7 dead...is that fate, or silly)
  2. Alvarez and KDB to Haaland and 7.7m mid (5.8 Almiron is the hot riser but hard game and has he done his wad? Would bank 1.9m but irrelevant due to the wildcard coming imminently)
  3. KDB and Nunez out, Haaland and a 10.5m mid in (Can't be City as would be keeping Alvarez)
  4. Cancelo and Nunez out, Haaland and defender up to 5.2m in (Can't be City as would keep Alvarez)

Basically it's like a what's the criticality scale to have this lot this week

Haaland, KDB, Cancelo, Nunez and Kane.

Big decision boys, needs the finest cafe brains :wenger:

1 easy choice, a one week punt on Martial looks interesting, you can't be binning off KDB and I fancy Darwin to get good points. While Spurs look poor and If Haaland starts Alvarez won't.
Wait for City team news first if you can.

Worth the - 4 to do Foden/Wilson to Darwin/Rashford?

Concerned neither of the former will start with WC coming and Rashford looked electric against Villa.

One week punt
Wilson out, but who in? I have £9m.
Thinking Darwin, but I already have Salah... Martial? Alvarez?

No way am I getting involved in this one

All of those decisions have the potential to backfire massively. I did Alvarez to Darwin last night and already kind of regret it (should've done Wilson instead).

Might just be the one week you hide behind the couch and go for a differential captain.

My strikers are Mitrovic, Wilson and Alvarez. What a shambles. 1.6m in the bank. Probably thinking Mitrovic to Martial tonight then I'll have to wait on City team news. If Alvarez starts i'll leave it at that, if he doesn't I think I'll go Wilson to Darwin for a -4

Love that last week's mad scramble hasn't put you off!

Didn’t Pep say he’s not 100%?
You can never really decipher what he really means. After this game there is a 6 week break and he didn't look like he was struggling when he came on for his cameo last week.

Saying that I'll be keeping my eye on early team news, though the website will probably crash again and it won't even matter.

Oh it has, thoughts are all over the place as a result. Could just suck up the -4 and go Mitro and Wilson to Martial and Darwin earlier. That's probably the sensible thing to do

Your decision is like choosing whether you wear white pants or brown pants to hide any splurge.

My decision could he a killer. I might have to risk scrambling around late doors and have that hour unsure if it went through again.

Firstly, I'm doing shit so not sure why you're tagging me

But from those big hitters, KDB is the only one I don't have so expect him to haul.

I wouldn't sell Kane or Nunez for their upcoming game, they look good to haul and Haaland isn't guaranteed to start... Might be worth doing something a little crazier and leave Haaland out and get a low owned punt?

If Haaland doesn' start, I have Alvarez in place. It was bad luck Cancelo got sent off last week as that was a right reducer on Albvarez. And he still scored 18 as captain. Could have been huge.
But equally, if he starts, Haaland could bang me for 30 points.

Is Cancelo not suspended this week?

Also I’m thinking if transferring IN Wilson, am I mad?

Do keep up son. No.

Could be a 1 point injury risk, or could be a lush 13 pointer. That's the Wilson conundrum.

1 or 4 (or whatever Dirty doesn’t choose)

Ta.
Yep. removing KDB would be insanity.

I think it's gonna be a late risk of the team news late doors, or sacrificing Kane to get Haaland back in. With maybe Martial as a fun punt, as Ronaldo doesn't seem a given to start.

1 should definately be the aim, taking the risk of waiting for early team news. I think Haaland plays for what it's worth. 2 is the only other you could possibly consider of the rest. Definately think Darwin out this week would be a mistake

The first one for sure if that gets you Martial as well who seems to be a very interesting punt this week.

1 ft - 0,3M itb
Guaita (ward)
Trippier, Cancelo, White (Williams, Dalot)
KDB, Rashford, Almiron, Martinelli (Andreas)
Haaland (C), Kane (V), Jesus

Got value built in all players but Guaita and Jesus. I’m leaning on no transfers right now. Right decision?

Martial is sure to get some minutes and when he gets minutes it’s pretty much certain he will deliver points.

I like my side without a transfer in GW16.... why and how does this roll transfer work? By legit not making a single wildcard transfer? I could get away with it.... but not really

Pope (Ward)
Cancelo-Guehi-Trippier (Neco-Dalot)
Martinelli-Rashford-KDB-Bailey (Andreas)
Darwin-Haaland(c)-Solanke

4.5 in the bank, no FT left. Is there any sub worth doing for a -4 hit? Thinking about Guehi to Robertson or TAA, maybe Bailey to Saka or Solanke to Firminho. Its just a hit for this round as we get a WC under the WC. Any ideas from the great CAF players?
I am just short of 900 points total and leads the minileagues i care about, so maybe just leave it be for this round and hope for the best?

It's gonna crash again isn't it? I don't know if the servers ever gone down for 3 consecutive weeks before but I know one thing : Don't leave it too late guys.

Yep sod it, it's going to have to be Kane and Alvarez out for Haaland and Martial. The way it adds up to the exact figure hopefully a sign.
No Haaland as captain is just too mad a risk and this leaves KDB and Cancelo in place too.
Martial looks like he starts.

Will do it in 20mins or so. Won't risk the late doors bit again as you can't set your captain even if you luck out on the transfers going through.

In fact reading this reminds me of the stress last week and that was later in the day too.
Doing it now.
