Fantasy Premier League 22/23

Trossard to Foden, surely that's a decent move? Trossard was a one week punt that didn't work out I guess.

100 behind ml leader, should I captain Salah?

I would deffo do that.
If I had the funds I'd do the same, but instead will probably do Zaha out instead.

DO NOT CAP SALAH. He will blank.

He is for some bizarre reason being played as a Giggseque line hugging winger by Klopp (after they’ve made him their most high paid player of all time…), and is essentially being used to feed Klopp’s CF golden boy Darwin.

If you want a differential, go for players like Darwin, Bruno G, Almiron.

But again, DO NOT cap Salah - you have been warned.

It’s also the early kick off…

Here lies a man who has been scarred by Mo Salah

Why is anyone comtemplating captaining Salah on a Haaland at Home weekend anyway?

Nunez is doubtful though isn't he?
I have him, so hopefully not, as he does have a bit of a reducer effect on Salah like you say.

Alisson
Cancelo - Trippier - Guehi
Martinelli - Zaha - Salah - Andreas
Kane - Mitrovic - Haaland

Subs: Ward, Dalot, Kilman, Longstaff

Doing reasonably well this year and fancy Palace keeping a clean sheet against Everton so gone with Guehi but picking between him and Dalot who played well last game and we've looked solid at the back the last couple of games. Thoughts?

We are looking strong, but Chelsea away is still a tough away isn't it.
But then Palace barely keep cleanies.

Still torn between a straight Zaha to Foden transfer, which feels a little off with Zaha's run.

Or a -4, and either ditching Dier or Dunk to a player 0.3m lower, to bin Trossy (dropping tonight) to Foden instead.

Anyone about got a view?

I would go option 2 if it's more of a longer term strategy. Zaha has great fixtures and can easily make that hit back. Brighton don't look as solid at the back as before and Dier is a boring pick.

Dalot is probably the cheapo I want long term.

So maybe Dier & Trossard to Dalot & Foden?

Dunk would need to go to a 4.3m instead, but bleak options there.

Bit dodge, as it's -4 two weeks in a row past a wildcard, but sometimes has to be done. Only about 20 points off top in my league so probably not a biggie.

I would do it. Dalot also in good form and great fixtures after Chelsea.

Ta pal.
Doing it now, so I don't risk forgetting tomorrow!

Gives a midfield 4 of Martinelli, Rashy, Zaha and Foden who can all haul, and front 3 of Nunez, Kane and Haaland.

In a couple of weeks I'll look at downgrading one of the front 3 if I need to beef up elsewhere.

Taking advice off 3m Dirty, what can go wrong?

The only thing crazier is the dreaded 3mins before deadline changes.

I'm glad my half hearted Trossy captain 1min before last week's deadline didn't go through!

Off to MK v Wycombe tomorrow, so can forget this game until the evening now!

Yeah, did mine early as on the piss tonight.

Your league looks like a 3 horse race already? Playing for playoffs?

Roll on Welcome to Wrexham II. Might make an appearance.

Yep playoffs probably the aim. Started getting into our groove now after a slow start with injuries. United messed us about agreeing to loan us Bishop in goal, but delaying and delaying it, so 5 games into the season playing a rookie we had to look elsewhere.

We have Mawson, ex premier league, who at 28 is so ridiculously the best defender in league 1 it's unreal.
Vokes, McCleary ex prem too, Mehmeti, who is destined for the prem one day. Looking good.

Emerson Royale is back this week, so it's a risky one, especially for -4.

Fantasy scout has him starting over Doherty.

Doherty had a super game against Everton and offers so much more than Royale. You're right that the risk is there though with so many games in a short space of time. I want to have Guehi, Dunk and Dalot to offset that risk with Tripps the nailed on every week pick.

Sam Vokes of Wales?

Will always remember that header :)

Those 4 you mention on your last line, plus Cancelo is my 5.

4 game weeks to get through, will make sure no more hits, and then restructure the team over the world cup, and see if we need to get back to the TAA, Cancelo, Trippier, James type mix, with a KDB/Salah in midfield or if the 4 mid price choices I currently have in mid might be the answer.

I thought you said you had Dier? Or have you already took the plunge and brought Dalot in for him? Good move if so. Strong defensive 5 there

Yep. One of 4 or 5 players we have who are just outrageously too good for this tier.
I had the Wales Belgium game on my hard drive for over four years. I must have watched it 15-20 times.

"Go and wake your kids up"... ... I did ;)

World Cup qualification is a bucket list tickbox exercise. Wales Belgium beats Bayern in 99 for me.

Yep, did it tonight to afford ditching Trossard rather than Zaha.

I mean, I can't even get pissed at you as I'm having a nightmare this year but if I had captained Haaland against United, I would be so much higher up. That was purely an emotional move as I couldn't stand the idea of captaining that scrote against United at a time where United looked like they could go toe to toe with City. How wrong I was

How many points ahead of me are you out of curiosity? I'm on a measly 675.

Going with

Ederson
Trippier, Cancelo, Cucurella
Martinelli, Zaha, Rashford, Sterling
Haaland, Jesus, Toney

Sanchez, Rice, Zinchenko, Bella - Kotchap

Here lies a man who has been scarred by Mo Salah

I had him capped for that bizarre, ‘is this actually real?’, 9-0 against Bournemouth where he did nothing despite having EIGHTEEN opportunities at a single return…

I also just capped him last week, like many.

Nunez is doubtful though isn't he?
I have him, so hopefully not, as he does have a bit of a reducer effect on Salah like you say.

Indeed. I do think it’s very odd what Klopp is doing with him…

They let Mané go because they didn’t wanna pay him big wages, fought to keep Salah and made him the most high paid player in the club’s history - and then immediately plonked him out on the wing and gave him a role that, if we’re honest, any average PL winger could do…

I mean, why not just sell him in the Summer for a huge fee and sign an average winger to do that role!?

It’s really weird. I’m surprised more isn’t being made of it in the media etc.

718, peanuts

Wildcard changes. Thoughts please.

Raya, Ward
Cancelo, Trippier, White, Dalot, Guehi
Salah, Zaha, Martinelli, Foden, Andreas
Jesus, Mitro, Haaland

It’s a bit budget in defence. But I don’t really see any need to get Saliba (four yellows). Salah can’t go before Forrest, he’s easy to get rid of if he fails again. Tempted to change Ward for a keeper with an even easier fixture in gw16.

Almost carbon copy to my Wildcard team last week. Template.
