Got 52 points this GW (Mitrovic still to play) so it's a good week.

But at what cost :(

I'm an old school FPL player, started in the 05/06 season but then didn't play for a last 6-7 years. I'm not used to these new coins :D

To be fair you only have to survive a few weeks then there’s another wildcard for the World Cup.

Team value must be way down though.

While there is always the risk Salah goes appenhaller, option 2 looks pretty strong. Plus lets you keep Kane, who before last night I think had scored in every game bar 1, and assisted in the other.
 
47 with Andreas and Mitrovic still to play so climbing up the ranks a bit. If Salah hauled I reckon I would have gone way back up there.

I had Kane instead of Haaland for the first few weeks, and went with Sancho and Grealish over other mids so my rank was absolutely screwed.

I'm thinking this too but trying to claw back 40 points from a rival who has Kane and no Salah...

Probably second as Saka and Foden seem to be in good form and have good games till the WC.
 
48 with Mitro and Andreas to play. Only started the week with 10 players as I decided to keep Cancelo rather than take any hits. Looking like a strong week.

Now need to get Foden back in, probably for Mount.

Ohhh that's nice then. I'll slowly try to get players in using weekly free transfers.
 
Ok I'm gonna get Foden and Saka for Antony and Trossard.

Better to take a hit or do one a week?

Thinking Saka in fur Trossard this week and Foden in for Antony next week...
 
I've gone Trossard to Foden this week and I'm thinking of taking a -4 to go Perisic/ Harrison to Dalot/ Saka next week. Would be tempted to do the -8 this week to get Saka in for the Southampton game, but I'm not sure about taking that big a hit to get Dalot in v Chelsea.
 
I've gone Foden. It's extremely close, but the Saints have a decent home record vs Arse and Arse also looked dead vs Leeds. That's my justification anyway (and that Saka is due a blank). Still, Saka is in next week 100%.

I've binned Zaha for Foden as well, keep Maddison for Wolves. Then bin him next week for Saka.

2 has slightly better fixtures (though Liverpools aren’t that bad) and the in form teams …

1 has a proper CF, penalty takers and unlikely to lose any minutes (Foden could a little?) but loses more in dropping Kane

Probably edge to 2 as means keeps Kane. Not much in it for me.
 
My dad is ahead of me now at 200k rank. He did not change captain, but for some reason it is Allison vice. 55 points from 6 players. He has had Haaland every other week cap and still got Isak.

Thanks. Yeah think I'm gonna stick with 2. If I go 1 and Salah keeps trolling, that's my season done.
 
Saka's price is going up tonight. Will people wait until closer to the deadline or pull the trigger today? Would rather not lose 0.1 making a transfer I'm going to make anyway, but Arse play tonight and there's potential for injury or a niggle etc.

If you haven’t used your wildcard yet, you might as well.

You effectively get a 3rd free wildcard this year during World Cup as you are allowed unlimited transfers during that month.

Yeah. I'm gonna do Foden in for Tossar today before the price rise. Saka will replace Antony next week. Foden has had the longer rest and is playing at home. No point overthinking.

While I'm liking my Haaland-Kane-Nunez combo at the moment, I do feel slightly short in mid, with no KDB/Salah or at least Foden.

However, I'll probably try and roll for this weekend, then bin one of the 3 to beef it next week, to avoid another -4.

I think Rashy stays for certain now Ronaldo is pushing himself even further out of the picture, so most likely the Trossy man gets beefed up.

The defence might need to be rejigged to get TAA back in too, but may instead try to sort it over the world cup as there's only 4 game weeks in between.
 
Pereira starts for me this week, guaranteeing a blank.

Destined to only ever have his "hauls" (relatively speaking) on the bench.
 
In my draft, extending my Gomez punt for another week and going VVD and Gomez against Forest this week.
Other option is going double Arsenal with Saliba and Gabriel. Other options like double Newcastle or picking a Wolves defender seems to suck equally.

Good idea?
