I imagine there's some discussion with the Manchester clubs about whether to play their GW1 matches on the Tuesday, Wednesday or possibly Thursday. It would make sense given both clubs could go far in cups and have little space later in the calendar, and this would still give them the requisite 30 days off too. I'd be curious if they didn't play the games then.

The problem is that Burnley and Villa have Carabao Cup Round 2 games that midweek though and Round 3 is only the following week!

Thinking of leaving it and taking the pain of week one.

Bench - not much to Mention.
 
I only have Bruno, KDB and Taylor as the potential problems with the two games not being played GW1.

Taylor I can just bench for Dallas no problem.

I was thinking Bench Bruno for Ferguson and transfer out KDB for someone like Son and then just bring KDB in GW2 and that way, I dont need to take hits.

It's annoying as I like making my first few transfers all about scooping up the cheap players that play.
 
Is the app working for everyone?

I find it’s usually alright to have just the one decent sub early on. Although we might find there’s more rotation this season
 
With City and United out of GW1

Leno
Basham - TAA - Lamptey
St. Maximin - Willian - Ziyech - Salah(c) - Auba(v)
Antonio - Werner

Can't decide between Antonio and Haller. Both at 6.5 but Antonio might move back wide with Haller back.
Greame Potter's Brighton open team might afford Ziyech and Werner the chance to hit the ground running. Pulisic will miss GW1.
Salah and TAA hauls against Leeds
Willian starts at Arsenal and see him in a good partnership with Auba, at least against the smaller clubs. Pepe too expensive for what he brings.

Might have to take a -8points to get KDB and Bruno/Greenwood in for GW2+

Don't worry about as it seems the chip doesn't exist anymore but yeah I did wonder how it would work myself.
 
I'm tempted to drop Bruno and KDB for Mane and Son and then bring the two in for GW3, when the fixtures get easier.

But the risk I run is if either player goes up even 0.1 in that time, I'm fecked.

A risk wroth taking or not?
 
You will have time to get 1 before on a FT before price changes.

I just want to have enough money to be able to replace Aubameyang and Son. If Aubameyang and Son do good in GW1, then I might have to reconsider. It will also depend if De Bruyne or Fernandes price are set to rise before GW2 - I want them both in my team and don't want to be priced out early doors.

Their prices won't rise without playing surely?
 
I'll start without KDB and Martial, but will plan to have them both in for gw3.
Which means I'll probably start with Auba. But will make it really fecking difficult to swap him with KDB if he has a good start.

Unless he is having a Mare, is injured or suspended I tend to stick with my goalie of choice the entire season, and having a quality relatively cheap goalie on the bench who regularly puts good numbers up available to swap in when my first choice goalie is playing the harder games away from home as an option if needed, without taking a -4 point hit. And for the sake of £0.5m over the course of the season I think it's worth it. Now if it was £1.5m ....

I can do Son > Bruno as soon as GW1 starts. And then downgrade Auba to Sterling/KDB without a hit, unlikely they'll rise 0.5m!
 
Ignoring fixtures and looking at the players in isolation, which combo do you reckon is the best on paper?
