Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Makes sense but I was thinking of going 3-4-3 and ignoring Jota as with him I have a lesser budget to sign someone. My options would be Lingard, Gundogan, Souchek, Zaha, Raphina or Greenwood. With Sterling I have a bigger budget and Sterling has really been out of form so I am a bit concerned about that.

Wait, who are your front 3?
With than midfield 5 I think you shouldn't have 3 forwards with better potential than Greenwood / Raphinha / Harrison / Lingard right?
Because if it's my team there is no other premium midfielder I currently want outside from Bruno, Salah, Son.
Maybe only Rashford or Mane for big differential, but I rather play 3-5-2 and gambling on Sterling

I have Calvert-Lewin, Iheanacho and Wood as front 3 with Son, Salah,Sterling, Mount and Jota in Midfield and Zouma, Shaw, Holding, Dunk and Michell in defense.
My plan was to bring in Bruno but I can't afford him and I actually need a differential so maybe it might not be such a bad thing that I can't get Bruno.

So thinking about cheap defenders? Anyone worth getting? I like Coufal, but the lack of clean sheets is annoying. West Brom and Pereira looking good and Southampton are scoring goals again with Ings in the side.
I only have 5.4 budget if I sell Castagne and want Bruno, but I am thinking Tierney might be worth the punt. His injury record is awful though.

Bailly or Lindelöf work I guess, but is too boring. I think Bailly might start both games given that Maguire is back for the final, but also he loves to take cards and he never scores any goals.

I was looking at Arsenal defenders myself and it would have been Gabriel/Holding/Tierney for me.

I guess Tierney has the biggest attacking threat out of them all but he is also the most expensive and biggest injury risk.

Personally I'd opt for Holding or Gabriel as they're both cheaper and then with the cash saved you have some money in the bank to upgrade another player for GW38

There's not much between them agreed. I'm going with Salah though as Liverpool need to win, Jota is out, extra point for a goal (over Kane) and golden boot factor. I dont have Bruno so I don't have to make that decision although if Ole has any sense he'll be taking him off early in both games (maybe not even starting him at the weekend) to keep him fresh for the EL final.

@Sandikan I'd probably roll my transfer if I were you. You've got a healthy lead and I'd be looking to remove DCL and Watkins on that final day although City and Chelsea might put out massively weakened teams I guess. Bamford and Antonio home against West Brom and Southampton look tastier though. Even Iheanacho with Leicester fighting for top 4 against Spurs.

Looks to be 3 choices then, nursing a 41 point lead v the bench booster potential Bruno captainer.

  1. Stick as we are - no Bruno. Hope I still have some sort of lead.. If not at least not be too far behind. 2 transfers so decent flexibility
  2. Reverse last week transfers. Bruno & Nacho back in for Son & DCL for -4
  3. Take a -8 to do Son/DCL/Castagne to Bruno/Filler/Allioski for -8, but leave things a bit inflexible up front, and potentially a little stretched to get 11.

I'm thinking number 3 is way too big a risk.

Probably has to be number 1 doesn't it, especially with no chance Bruno plays 90 in week 38, and possibly is rested completely.

Need a magical combo of a lot of his players blanking, Bruno being quite quiet, and my differentials like TAA and Greenwood going mad!

I think he will go strong vs Fulham and rotate everyone vs Wolves. I plan to take Bruno out for the final GW.

1 or 2 for sure. I think long term (2 games), Bruno will probably get less than Son but you're arse will be flapping 5 minutes before the line up is released on GW38 as Bruno should haul against Fulham.

That United v Fulham game you'll have to support Fulham

Everyone should be safe this week, with the only doubt, whether one of Pogba/Rashford/Greenwood/Cavani won't start. Or whether we'll play Pogba central, so can still play all 4.
I'm hoping it's this, as Pogba sometimes reduces Bruno hauls, and I have Greenwood!

Would you go 1 or 2?
DCL is a differential against the opponent's Nacho too. But it really is Bruno who is the key worry.

We're bound to beat them 2-0 at least as Fulham have lost their last 4 by two.
The only question is who gets the points. Bruno hasn't been huge on non pens for a while. A bit lucky with that deflected goal last time out. And if Pogba plays central he often seems to reduce Bruno's points. But that might be me just clasping at straws!

I would go for 1 because your only worried about Bruno for one game. Then he probably won't play against Wolves. Iheanacho should be done and as useless a donkey DCL is, he can still score against Wolves.

Remember, Son is likely to haul against Villa too (although I hope not).

Be brave. Be different. Use Versace for him.

Haha fair.
I think I'll leave it. So just need to confirm on

1) Captain - Salah or Kane. Real 50-50 that is, even more so than last week I think.
2)Lingard or Watkins.
3) Coufal or Holding.

Salah-Lingard-Coufal at the moment.

It's that sickening thought that DCL and Son score well, and I've removed them for a -4, and would then have to get Son back in next week. And have no flex to change striker that makes the switch very difficult.

Got to hope that even if it's worse case and I take a 40-50-60 smash, that I still have a chance next week in the shoot out.

I dropped Bruno last week a blank and only way is a double swap/-4.... not going to happen.

It also means I'm the only top team in my ML without him. Probably not the differential I'd have chosen but a differential still....

... if he gets a low score, I'm the only with Son, Salah & Greenwood.

1. Salah. But it's a coin toss. They just have more to play for as a team and he gets extra points for goals and an extra point for CS. He's also playing a team where the manager has already stated that he doesn't expect his team to be focused and he's playing my local chippy delivery driver in goal. Kane is amazing but Martinez does have games where he becomes unbeatable.

2. JLingz. Is not even a debate.

3. Coufal. More attacking threat.

Who does he play for?

So what do we think about Henderson? Will he play both or will De Gea get a game before the final.

I think I might go with mendy though. Chelsea are so defensive in big games and often concede only a few and he might get save points and bonus.

Leno with the fixtures maybe better, but Just do not trust them. Maybe should though.

Meet back here after the game for tea and sympathy.

If it all turns to turd, we'll all meet back here for a Fight Club style crying session.

Pretty stupid to schedule the EL Final 3 days after the final league game isn't it? Considering there's absolutely no need for that to be cramped in. Makes things difficult with our players.

No it's easy. We just rest all the key players.

Just be glad there wasn't something big riding on the game!!

Getting serious now. None of this "28 point lead" a la @Dirty Schwein ... there's only 30 points from 1st to 6th in my ML (we're all average).

I've written out the top.6 teams to see if I can try and predict what they'll do/pick. Surprisingly, while there's lots of players in common across the top.6, I've only got 6-7 the same as the other teams.

While they have Bruno (prob dropped last game), they have Jota, Leicester players (fixtures), Shaw (dropped last game too). Looks pretty even and it'll come down to one or two players killing it.

Who to change? Coady, JWP, DCL or Watkins?

I'm gonna be crying in the shower whipping myself

Despite knowing it's dumb, I'm taking -4 to swap DCL and Jota to Antonio and Greenwood.

Mainly because I want to use free transfer to swap Zaha to Raphinha in GW38.

This way I also cover the Antonio threat of my rival.

AND my bad luck JuJu gets off DCL so he can get some points for you

I want to help but I can't read that handwriting for shit

But I'd drop Watkins mate. His fixtures are screwed.

I think they could have had it friday and CL saturday etc.
Don't know about the others but England squad meets up Saturday (and a friendly soon after). If CL too close to friendly, it'd be asking international managers (England mainly) to drop the respective CL players for first friendly (City have 4 England players, Chelski 3?).

Tight season, hard to get a balance between club and Euros.

Sell Siggurdson and get in Harrison/Raphinha?
I also have Jlingz whom I have no idea if he will perform

Got to love the hand scribbled notes

I'd half forgotten I'm in another league where 1st is £500 down to 5th where I'm currently just about, being £50

Realistically 6 in the mix for cash. Not tonneloads to top, but the other league is the key one - that's the work one with shield and over 20 years of history.

That's my tidiest capitals!!

Watkins to Antonio is an option. Or JWP to a Rapinha (Leeds fan in work says he's the play).

Goalies stay, defenders stay (Dallas, Phillips good, probably play James with Coady first sub), most midfielders fine, hopefully DCL gets a deflection off his arse so JWP or Watkins.

Watkins has worse fixtures than JWP and the alt (Antonio) is better choice than most of the people in the JWP price range.

Wildcard active and trying to go with teams who mostly have things left to play for…

Meslier
Dallas TAA Holding Cresswell
Salah Mane Bruno Raphina
Kane Antonio

Thoughts?

So I swapped out DCL for Antonio because I'm sick of him and 2 leaders have him. Also did Jota to Auba because I think Arsenal are going under the radar and rightly so but I need a differential. I don't really fancy Harrison or Willock/Torres tbh. I've been trying to look at other teams that I think have good fixtures it's so difficult. I will probably go Antonio or Ings captain.

Those are solid transfers. Any way to get in Mane? He is a premium that's also a differential AND should play. Against two of the worst defences in the league. With Liverpool playing for top 4. And goal difference may yet come into it. Feels like the right punt to get in and captain...

I already did Auba. I hate liverpool don't want to bring him in..........

You're letting your emotions drag you down brother

I don't want Alisson either since then I need to hope for a bloody 0-0 and get annoyed when Liverpool concede, but still wins. One defender in TAA is enough so I can enjoy fully Liverpool fecking up in terms of defending.
Then again if Alisson shall score annoying late winners it might be better to have him ;).

Also do I go Henderson and gets mad when De Gea start and take my emotions out on Ole? Even though I think it might be the right call to give them one game each.

I might just stick with Martinez. Picking a keeper is too hard with everything to consider. Hardest position to predict I think too since save points often comes when you concede more goals too.
