Fantasy Premier League 20/21

I'm pretty sure if

I captain Salah --> he gets benched
I captain TAA --> a relegated WBA get a goal and Salah scores a brace
I captain Kane --> He ends up playing DM
I captain Son --> Kane scores a hat trick

No Son and DCL are your big risks this week.
However, you can field 11 and have done your freebie.

I think you probably have to stay as you are and try and squeeze through this one with as much of your lead as possible.
Thanks mate. I do have DCL. My rival does not. So Son is the big worry. I could swap Bruno for him but then I'll be taking a hit and won't be able to get Bruno back.

I dunno mate, that's a tricky amount of points to be ahead. Depends how scared you are of Dallas I guess. I mean it looks like you've got a full 11 out this week at least so you can't even use the old "a hit is only -2" to justify it.

DCL should bring home some points for you and he hasn't got him.

I guess you could justify getting in Dallas because there's a chance Jota is benched. At least you'll have a playing sub then. Assume you'll bench Ward or Konsa then?
Thank you. It would have to be ward I guess. Gonna be a tough decision.

Started the week with a 36 point lead, took a -4, and increased it to 40 points. Probably success.

3 weeks to go.

Squad as below - CAPS for non players

Johnstone Forster
Taa Coufal HOLDING CASTAGNE SHAW
Salah Lingard Perreira BRUNO GREENWOOD
Kane (c) Watkins NACHO

So I can field 8, free transfer for 9.

What's the play?

Son, Dallas and one of Antonio/Bamford/DCL I'm thinking, maybe for a -8.
Could risk going in 9 players, or a -4 for 10, but I suspect Castagne and Nacho might have done their money for the season now.
Think I'm going to copy you.

Bring in Son and Dallas for Bruno (!) and Fofana.

Week after, look at Antonio.

157. Happy with my midfield.

I'll 100% do Bruno to Son. It's safe, with no Bruno game, and covers Son either way.

What I'll take longer musing on, is 1 hit or 2 hits on Nacho and Castagne out to "Someone" and Dallas.

10 players might be safe-ish to proceed with.
A rival can't get DCL without doing 2 transfers (or binning Kane!) so I dare say he might well look at Dallas. Leeds do have a strong last 3.

He has Martinez and Godfrey who have strong chances of cleanies this week. Though I have TAA and he won't be able to get him in without surgery.
Pretty much same front 7 just I have Perreira and he has Son (which I'll match this week)

Captain is the huge call. Kane v Salah.

So many people are dropping Bruno for Son? Either you guys don't want Bruno back or got him so late that you don't lose value... Well, either that or you have too much money in the bank!

Son is in form and has scored in 4 of his last 5. And is 3rd top scorer in the game.
His price point is difficult if you have TAA, Kane, Bruno and Salah, so something has to give.

I'm tempted to do Son & DCL in for Bruno & Nacho. I'm on 8 and that'd get me 10 for -4.

But then it'd take a -4 to get Bruno back in - so you either gamble he goes easy on Fulham, and is rested/doesn't play long 3 days before the cup final, or take another -4.

But DCL could easily double digit it against Sheff Utd. And 2 points for merely playing gets me half of his hit back.

I dropped Bruno for Salah. Not really bothered about getting him back in for Fulham either. I'll probably turn Iheanacho into Cavani next week instead. Or JWP into Greenwood. Whichever is less likely to be benched.

Is greenwood ok cover for no Bruno? As I can take a hit too get Son for Bruno and then go Zaha to Greenwood for free next week...

Or I can save the hit, hope Son doesn't go nuts and rant here when he does

Well I need to drop 2 players thanks to Lewis Dunks red card. I do not love to play with too many cheap shit defenders anyway so taking a -4 to get something cheap do not feel ideal.
Although Coufal is decent so could go for him and keep Bruno and play 4 defenders.

In midfield it is dropping either Greenwood or Bruno. Bruno to Son/Bale very logical move I think and then get a forward for Nacho. I think I am going with Bamford since keeping the money over DCL allows me to get Bruno back more easily.

This is my issue. Is it worth taking hits and wasting transfers to deal with Bruno?

He'll blank this week, great game next week but then can easily have minutes managed in the final week...

If I drop him for Son, I'd rather just go without and hope Son can get closer to him next week.

But then again, Son finished against Leicester, who will be up for it.

You weigh it up as it goes.
I have 8 players, and Son is a huge risk, so it makes sense to switch them

Then it's a question of who to switch Nacho to for -4.

Bamford, DCL or Antonio.

2 allow for Bruno back in for free next week. DCL doesn't.
But DCL has by far the best fixture.

ps hadn't realised Bruno is 11.5 to sell and 11 at buy in.
Going down to 11.4, but that's a big difference. However, value isn't as important at this stage.

Antonio has the best run of fixtures.
Bamford is getting minutes managed with Rodrigo.
DCL had the best one fixture then average one and finally a tough one.

Long term it has to be Antonio.

Thats my plan. Maddison to Greenwood next week. Although it’s easier for me to decide on that, as the guy behind me doesn’t own Bruno.

I’m probably going to captain Salah, as if I have Kane and Son, captain one of them and they both blank...toys will be thrown out of the pram.

On checking, Antonio & Bamford don't actually let me do Bruno back in for free anyway, so that takes a bit of their appeal away v DCL.

But not putting him back in leaves the big risk of a rival captaining him, then him getting a 20 pointer.

However, I just saw the top scorers list, and after Kae & Salah on 21, and Bruno 18, Son is on 17, and DCL is on 15.
So Son & DCL in is certainly tempting.

I did have Kane, but Liverpool are back to hot attacking form, and most importantly have something riding on their games, so moved to Salah for now.

I can do:
Schmeichel OUT Fabianski IN
Shaw OUT Dallas IN
Fernandes OUT Salah IN
Iheancho OUT Bamford IN
For a minus 12... it would be my biggest cumulative hit of the season by far!

But I worry about 1. United defence without Maguire and resting key players before EL final, and 2. Leicester form. So yes, it's a big hit, but the players I bring in will stay in my team until season end, and I certainly wouldn't need to take another hit again this season. Thoughts?

Mahrez or DCL captain? Won't go Bamford because I think Burnley are decent. I could go Ings but I feel Fulham aren't that bad compared to SHU.

I still don't know how Spurs will fare.

Since they got Mason as coach:

They barely scraped past Southampton with a last minute goal.

They lost to city in the final.

They destroyed, Sheffield, who are the worst team in the league.

Then got outplayed by Leeds.

The way Wolves play deep, I think this might be a better game for Kane rather than Son or Bale.

I'm saying all this because I don't have Son

The bolded is why I'm keeping Bruno.

All about the risk factor. This week is a no brained as I only have 8 before making these two transfers. And if I'm going in with 10 I need to give myself the best chance of the transferred in players being higher window.

More worried about DCL to be honest as Everton aren't reliable. But it covers it.

Zaha to son for a -4? Or give him one more chance. Or nacho to DCL for a -4 or -8 for both? I’m leading my league by 18 points.

That's a slender lead, I wouldn't be taking hits for no reason.

Maybe DCL hit is worth it if you can't field a full 11? As then it's only 2 points wasted of it don't pan out.

I think it can be worth it, but if he gets rested for last week maybe not. Hopefully he either plays or gets a full rest then if we go with kids.

Dunk should be back and give me cover at least by then.

Still waaaay off in the Caf league but I was around the top for a while. I got 122 and shot up my work mini league into 3rd. The leader is over 100 in front though. This is the first season I’ve actually not been busy on the weekends with work and kept the interest up for the whole season. I also realised I’ve used up well over 100 points in transfers and have had absolutely no luck making transfers to cover clean sheets….

Thanks for the tips lads!

I’ll do much better next year, hopefully
