Fantasy Premier League 20/21

Took DCL out and brought in Iheanacho. Wish I done it earlier tbh.

Have 1 more transfer and really need to get rid of Aubamayang. Any ideas? Thinking to bring Salah back in as that run in looks amazing or go for Trent and someone else. Need to get rid of City assets now they're waste of time.
I would back Salah to go on a run. The greedy cnut is desperate for that golden boot and has the fixtures to do it.

How much money do you got?

Lingard, Jota, Mount, Greenwood all good with Lingard best since he is nailed and in best form.

If 6 million or less it is way harder. Pereira is not bad, but the fixtures are far from ideal.

Raphinha got tricky games, but I stil do rate him.
I actually have £9.6m  as was going to swap Son for Salah in gw33 (Son blanks, Salah plays Newcastle), so needed some cash in the bank.

If I get Salah in it gives me £6.3m... there is just no stand out option available really....
Saka - flagged and Arsenal fecking around in the Europa still.
Gundo/Foden - feck that
Bowen - not a bad shout but I already have Lingard
Pereira - I'm tempted to be honest. Like you say fixtures not ideal but clearly West Brom have a bit more about them right now and a lot goes through Pereira.

good for you man! That’s great to hear. It’s been a crazy with all the COVID scheduling.

The top ranked person in the caf league is 971 in the world so yeah, crazy competitive league
77 all out and top 55k.

Bit fortunate as had Iheanacho on the bench who came in for 13.

Just glad I WCed. Worked out old team would have got 39... given form of team I had and fixture list, WC was a must. All bar one of my MLs top 15 WCed and only 5 had less than 53

I am cursed when it comes to the chips. Used my bench boost this week then Pope, Dias, Maddison and Calvert-Lewin all miss games. Its been a tough season

nice man, I got lucky Dias got benched to make way for Dallas. We were the lucky ones

That Leicester run of games over the next 4 is frightening isn't it!!

Since you didn't do it last week, feel like you should wait. It's chasing to get them all in this week now, so stick with your plan. Not sure about selling Salah before Leeds though. Could Gundo and Richarlison become Son and a useless striker?

I'm taking a hit for 3 Spurs next week and then wildcarding out of Spurs and City in 33, hoping the doubles are announced by then.

You're bang on with Salah. Shipping him 1) before Leeds and 2) before their epic run in could only end badly.

Looking at Lingard's form (and playing Newcastle), Nacho's insane run of games over the next 4 and form, Son with his double, I think it might be time to cut my losses and do that wildcard this week after all

@BeforeKeanetherewasRobson, took your advice on board too, albeit with Son still in my mind, despite your great point about potential resting. Jose isn't big on his resting of players, especially Kane and Son.

If I continue to back Richarlison and ignore Lingard/Nacho, I might well find I'm soon looking up at a few in my league rather than worrying about protecting any lead!

Just my opinion but I think you're putting too much emphasis on number of games and not who they play, when and form. When we get down to the last 10 games, results go all over the place?

Spurs DGW is Everton away and S'Ton a few days before the League cup final. Jose loves a trophy, who knows if he rests players for City? And even if he doesn't, I didn't see much from them yesterday that would make me put too much focus on their players. As part of a WC maybe but before you said you wanted 3 dear players (Kane, Bruno, Salah?).. Son makes 4 and that means you'll need a few fodder players. Will Son make you more points than you lose from having the fodder players?

Easier if you pick a WC squad and throw that up.

Then I'll pick holes in it

How about this as a draft

Mendy Forster
Dias Shaw White Phillips Holding
Salah Son Fernandes Jota Lingard
Kane Watkins Nacho

Second variation has Pereira Leicester's defender instead of White, and Raphina instead of Jota.
This would take the benching headache in the front 8 out as I'd bench Raphina until their fixtures ease.

Either version have all the big hitters I'd want, bar TAA, only 3 Tottenham/City for their blank , of which I can either suck up all 3 benched, or sub back out Son.

I ended up with 49 points after Dallas was my sub for KDB. Thanks Pep for leaving KDB not bringing KDB on. Now if only I didn't leave Watkins on the bench.

Looks ok.

Toss up between the options. Prefer Leic defender. Rapinha and Jota 50/50... one has better fixtures, one is certain to play.

Lean towards option 2 (also has benching issue solved)

Ah crap I didn't see Lingard has Newcastle next, I was going one last week without him. Already have Nacho. I think I better get him instead of the third Spurs player.

I agree I don't think Spurs can afford to rest Kane or Son. Unless of course they lose to Everton, and give up on getting Champions League. Cup win would give them the Europa spot anyway.

What is the latest on Maddison? Is he fit? Apart from Nacho, I am not sure who else to bring in the attack.

Think i read that he was left out due to a covid protocol break along with a couple of others.
May have an injury too though.

Are Everton and Villa due to have DGW's at some point? Will anyone else? If not, that Kane triple captain looks tempting. Him being rested for the midweek game with Carabao Cup final looming is a worry though.

Who would you triple captain from Villa or Everton though? If I had it left I would use it this week on Kane tbh.

There is another potential double in 35 with the Everton v Villa match and a smattering of cup teams but none of them look great either.

feck it, done my transfer already. Vardy in for DCL. On paper my team should haul but it never works out that way in reality. Might start Dallas as well though I suspect he'll come in anyway with that defence...

Areola
Alonso Dias Cresswell
Lingard Son Jota Bruno
Kane (c) Vardy Iheanacho

Subs: Martinez, Dallas, Digne, JWP

Actually feel that this team is flexible enough to either FH in 33 or just take a hit it to get a decent 11 out and keep it in the back pocket depending on injuries.

Looks like Cresswell could be out for 3 weeks with a hamstring injury.

I'll probably still hold him if no more injuries happen in the week. Especially if I free hit in 33. Could be back for Burnley and West Ham have some decent fixtures to end the season.

Had another play around to see if I could get TAA into a wildcard....

Mendy Forster
TAA Stones Shaw Holding Phillips
Salah Bruno Son Lingard Jorginho
Kane Watkins Ian Nacho

What do we think?

Currently, that's 15 starters. Holding you never know how long he'll stay in the lineup, but Jorgy plays most games, and Phillips has played a lot in a row.
Only 3 City/Tott to bench next week
Stones a rotation risk, but plenty of defensive backup from the others.

Safer would be taking TAA and Stones out, and getting say Castagne and keeping Dias. Those 2 definitely will play each week.
That even allows 0.6m to spruce up Holding or Jorgy.

GW 32

Martinez
TAA Shaw Dias Holding
Bruno Salah Lingard Jota
Nacho Kane (C)

Areola, Raphinha, Watkins, Stones

I like it.
But then I would, as I've pencilled in similar.

Wondered how you were squeezing so much in, but then noticed Son missing.
Your main issue is the benching dilemma most weeks. Screams of points on the bench.

@BeforeKeanetherewasRobson , a critique of my with and without TAA versions?

TAA has hit something like 9-12-14 the last 3 weeks, and looks a real powerful player to get in there.

TAA, Lingard, Nacho, Son feels a strong combo to get in.

Would just be a little concerned at losing Dias for Stones, when we know Stones tends to play 50%, albeit has more goal threat.
Castagne & Dias might be safer, than the big money of TAA and facilitator Holding, although Castagne hasn't shown anything of his early season points potential, but they have a strong run of games..but so do Liverpool.

Will see what happens in Europe tonight.

Cresswell Out for Reguillon and then bench TAA for Reguillon. Thoughts?

Martinez
Coady Shaw Reguillon
Bruno Jota Salah Lingard
Lacazette Inhenacho Kane(c)

Bench: Forster,TAA,Pereira,Dallas.

I wouldn't bench TAA but funnily enough I did just bring Reguillon in for Cresswell (for a hit).

I know Spurs are pretty shit and there's a chance he could miss one of the games (maybe less so if Davies is still out) but it's a dgw and it's fun so feck it. I also think for those of us using FH in 33, we can be more cavalier about loading up on Spurs as they play Sheffield United at home in 34 and generally have a decent run to end the season.

You can't bench a 7.4m defender who has just hit massive points hauling mode!

TC Kane or wait for another dgw? Tempted to wait for some reason

Unless you think someone like DCL/Richarlison/Watkins/Ward P/Ings is a better bet than Kane, I'd play it this week to be honest.

Unless they do put a double in late doors like Ben Crellin was saying. Though that seems very unclear.

Looks fine, nothing obvious that anyone would go "he's cack".

There are plenty of options (with some must haves) - it basically come down to personal preferences? Do you go for dearer players, do you base choices on fixture difficulty, etc?

I tried to get some top players but also look at easier run ins, hence the Wolves, Arsenal and Leicester players. I was looking at Jorginho (or Perreira) for Neto.

(PS. What's your ranking now?)

I'm 160 points ahead in my money league, want a differential to get into the top 1k though. May bank on someone ridiculous in the double if it happens late, when would it be released?

Keep an eye on Ben. Should know more next week.

The risk of going for a differential is Kane scores two, gets some BPS and ends up on.... say 17 (= 51) and your differential doesn't match/exceed that?
