I gave the captain armband to Telles and i already know it was a mistake because he will play Williams or Fosu-Mensah as left-back :rolleyes:
 
had a few underwhelming weeks before the international break so its wildcard time. was 10th in the Caf league but now 93rd

few changes and my team is

McCarthy
Justin - Kilman- Walker-Peters
Son - Bruno - Zaha - Mane (Salah soon)
Kane- DCL - Watkins

Button - Lamptey- Mitchell - Soucek

Not much investment in defence but I think this crazy year might well continue

Very tempted for Telles/Chelsea DF but just on expensive side

I wonder will a Liverpool youth player step up in their defence

That seems very risky, even if he plays, will he complete 90 mins? And if he doesn’t start, Williams is likely not to get 90 mins due to lack of fitness, so he’ll come on for a 1 pointer.

Why on earth would you captain Telles when you have Fernandes Grealish Mane and Kane? Seems like being quirky just for the sake of it. Most likely a 2 pointer at best.

You're either going to go into legend status of being one of those randoms who gets a huge score through doing an absolutely idiotic thing....

or you'll get in your vice captain.

There's absolutely no guarantee Telles will even get near the pitch. Let alone play 90 and rack a haul up.
 
Looking to get rid of Jimenez and have a budget of 8.8m. Currently considering Martial (if he scores today) or DCL? Anyone else to consider? I currently have Kane and Brewster as my other two strikers.

I suppose I could downgrade to someone like Bamford or Watkins but I feel I'll be wanting rid sooner or later.

Looked at the fixtures and it may also be worth taking a -4 to get Vardy in.
 
Left it at the 2 free transfers in the end.
Will deal with TAA next week. I generally regret any messing I do at the last minute, and taking a -4 for a defender means they basically have to keep a clean sheet just to break even.

Bruno is the popular captain choice, but any one of Grealish & Watkins, Son & Kane, Chilwell and Ziyech could outhaul him.

Fingers crossed they all haul.

I would also look at Antonio if he's fit.
 
8 for Chilwell excellent.
3 for Ziyech meh.

At least Werner only got a 5. He should have scored well into the double figures points wise today!

As Werner is my vice captain, the words ''for feck's sake'' left my mouth when he missed that sitter in the first half.
 
Werner could have had a hattrick. My brother got him as captain and my guy Chilwell got more points in the end.

Just checked and have seen that Barkley was taken off after 5 minutes ffs. A bad injury?
 
Double Brighton on my bench. Double Villa from the start.
Typical this really is.

Got to say goalkeeper rotation normally has been good for me in the past, but this season it has gone wrong.
Arguably for picking the wrong ones and the lack of clean sheets.
I have picked the right keeper only once with many draws though.
 
Jimenez to Vardy and Barkley to Curtis Jones for Barkley?

If Barkley's injury takes him out for a week or two I'd like to fund Vardy.
 
Wouldn’t you know I put in Grealish and Watkins and they should have 2 goals and 2 assists between them..

He basically did it about 80secs in came off on 2mins. You cannot make it up!
I'm annoyed even though I don't have him as it's rucked up Villa's lovely style of play and reduced Grealish and Watkins points potential.

Although they could easily have combined for one goal.

And Watkins seemed to not bother following a Mings looped header in. That if he had followed in could surely have at least jumped and tried to block the clearance and it could easily have gone in.

- Likely won't provide any assists.
+ Becoming a mainstay permanent player at CB, first choice to partner Silva.
+ Good level of fitness, higher chance to maintain injury-free.

Chillwell
- More expensive 6.0
+ Goals
+ Assists, mainly during open play.
+ Higher chance to play majority of league games (Alonso fell-out, Azpi just cover but mainly RB & CB?).
- Good fitness but slightly more chance to get injury. Is he England's first choice LB?


A difficult choice. Thinking of switching C to Z but..
Any opinions?
 
Konsa scoring got me points, just a shame Grealish didn't take the free kick that led to the goal being scored.
