Fantasy Football 2017/18

I am being trolled by the fantasy football gods. Used my free hit for this week and took out Tompkins and Milojivic for Zaha and Van Anaholt... Plus, how is Everton struggling to score against a 10 men stoke side :confused: and Bournemouth losing to west brom:confused:
 
Feck, I've still got my wildcard left, so no regrets doing the free hit, but damn I was hoping for a few points (outside of Liverpool) today

Thank feck I didn't play free hit. Although I'm sitting on a measly 6 points with 3 Liverpool players and one Watford player to go...

64 points from 7 players. Happy with that, but Salah has of course saved one of us. Happy to keep the free hit though.

Everybody's going to be captaining Salah - but what if he blanks? What if Firmino or Mane gets a bigger haul? This is a great time to make up the difference at the top of my mates league. This is a masterstroke...

Scratch my previous. I have more points than usual. But again...so does everyone else. If it wasn't for Kane getting injured and the blanks this week, it might have caught some people out.

Absolutely gutted. Only positive I'm taking from this - everyone above me in my mates league used free hit this weekend. So if I have a really good gameweek for the next bgw, I could claw some points back. But no chance I win the league now. ffs.
 
Hennessey, Robertson, Salah and Firmino got me 73, which is more than I usually get with 11 players :(
 
I brought in Tosun so I'm happy about that. Salah is whatever because everyone that matters has him.
 
101 points, 89 net after my 12 point hit is deducted. Delighted though as the guy leading my ML chose to captain Mane for some crazy reason and I have cut the lead significantly on him, 30 points to be exact.
 
Greeting FF crew. Don’t think I’ve posted in here yet but it’s getting tight at the top in my leagues. I’m on 1747 so far fwiw.

Just wondered if anyone can give me advice on when to use my free hit? I saved it yesterday and everyone else seemed to use it which caught me off guard. Still managed 88 though fortunately.

Wise move. Free Hit was a waste yesterday imo and as long as you had 3 Liverpool and Salah as captain a decent week was guaranteed.

By all accounts there will be another blank week in gw35 (probably confirmed next week) so I will be using it then or maybe even on the second double game week (37) depending on what my side looks like.
 
So, I've got three City players in my team, and they'll have the league secured officially soon, what do? I mean, they have CL so maybe they'll start resting and rotating in the league?

Yeah I'm thinking the same. Might just keep Sterling and then switch to Bernardo Silva when the league is wrapped up. I've got David Silva and Ottamendi too btw.

Tricky decision on the wildcard. I could get by to gw33 which would let me keep my options open (avoid injuries etc) but then a lot of the players I want will probably rise in price by then. Another spanner in the works is Spurs Vs Chelsea in gw32 and Utd Vs City in 33. Gonna have players going up against each other which isn't ideal.

That's one take on things, but comfortable to say in hindsight.
Who says itll be any different for the later weeks?

With a wildcard and bench boost chip there's other resources to cover those weeks.
