Fantasy Football 2017/18

Got rid of Arnautovic for Mkhitaryan and took a 4 point hit... Regretting it already for some reason...

I sort of have the same feeling with Shaqiri :D He's that type of guy who will do a flick with the heel and look a great player, and then go missing for 8 games.

...So I subbed him in. Go Big Shaq!

So Moura is looking bound for Spurs, and those on r/fantasypl are saying Son is most likely the one whose place will suffer, even with his form. Maybe time to change for Mahrez for me.

Son plays on the left and is a much better player than Moura.

50/50 I’ll join you, if not I’ll go for Ramsey.. Have a feeling I’ll regret it either way
I just think being the new player, Mkhi will be more eager to impress.

Having said that, Wenger might not even play him until the last 10 minutes.

You can make transfers until 18:45 and Arsenal kick off at 19:45, I may risk waiting until 18:30-18:40 to see if their teamsheet gets realised early.

Went for Ramsey.. no idea if it was the right call but didn’t fancy a hit to get Mkhi. Hopefully he’ll go on a run before he’s injured again..
Now I’m reading that Mahrez has handed in a transfer request. I really can’t catch a break this season! :(:wenger:

Tragic. I get no satisfaction out of Salah and Firmino anymore. Every fecker has them. I have to start taking chances on dubious starters to regain the buzz. Diabaté in for Ayew. Masochistic stuff. But it makes me feel alive. Alive, I tell you!

You know when you have a striker and a defender in the same game and it's a bit gutting....Monreal and Ayew

What a sod! Ayew is 2nd on my bench

For those who captained Salah, we got very lucky with that penalty! A lot of people in my league have either Aguero or Kane captain so I needed at least a goal to stick with it.

In case you are looking for excitement, try moving around your defense.

I am really struggling with my team atm. Whoever I pick stops gathering points. This is how I am lining up currently:

Pickford
Jones - Rudiger - Stones
Gross - Pogba - Sterling - Salah - Lingard
Firmino - Kane

Elliott - Kenny - Long - Depoitre with 2M in the bank and already used up my 1FT for this week. Any ideas?

Anybody knows when Aubameyang will be available in FPL? I need to be the first to pick him in my draft league.

Your football-team is sad. Sad.

No, in all regards its alright, but the weak points as I see it is
- Pickford (bad fixture list, maybe 1 cs in next 4)
- Stones (Laporte incoming)
- Gross (inconsistent)
- Pogba (inconsistent)
- Lingard (arguably inconsistent, but in more advanced positions than Pogba, so could be kept - rotation risk with Mata)

I'd try some of these, albeit a bit risky for the midfielders:
- Pope for a safe keeper with a good amount of CS
- Choupo Moting / Shaqiri (Good fixtures, new manager)
- Sako (A bit risky but lots of shots)
- Bernardo Silva (lots of games in a team that scores a lot)
- Hazard (on fire at the moment)
- Willian (He'll be back next week, very high risk / high reward )
- Aubameyang (if he's not too crazy priced)
- Wilson (for Depoitre, good fixturelist - scores every 2nd game)

My idea would be to get the most players playing in advanced positions. Pay the price for the expensive ones and then go with cheap for a marquee (Sako)

Personally I don't think we'll see a lot of goals from Kane in these 3 weeks, so I subbed him for Aguero myself. Sako + Pope for Gross and Pickford could be a start.

Depends on where you are in your most important league of course, now it's time to differentiate if you need to cover ground! A good team, especially if your mates don't have Hazard/de Bruyne. You don't have Aguero, which can be detrimental until Jesus is back in action. United/Chelsea/City defensive line-up is important - I have Jones, Otamendi, Christensen and Monreal - the latter to be changed after the next game. I also have Courtois to get some more Chelsea clean sheets.

Gross seems to have fizzed out and should probably replaced unless you have faith in him to revive his season, what about Shaqiri going forward? Priced at 6.1, now up against Watford, Bournemouth, Brighton, Leicester and Southampton. I too have Pogba, but considered Martial given his very low ownership. Same price. Sterling and Salah are must-have's. Lingard... well, guess he's OK. Firmino and Kane are great, I traded Firmino for Aguero and have this team:

Courtois
Monreal - Christensen - Jones - Otamendi
Pogba - Sterling - Salah - Shaqiri
Kane - Aguero

Currently 20.000ish, have been top 10k for most of the season... just messed up a bit over Christmas.

Imo Gross or possibly Lingard could go. With 2m in the bank you could pick up an 8m midfielder I'm assuming? Martial, Mhki, Silva
I plan on keeping Gross given he is an automatic bench cover option. Lingard probably goes in the next 1-2 GWs. Depends whether he starts against Spurs or not.

Do you mean Bakary Sako? He is out injured for a long period on the sidelines.

How is Pogba inconsistent, ffs?

Expensive option for bench cover, what's the rest of the bench look like?

Agree on Lingard, I have him at the moment but will see how the arrival of sanchez changes things.

Pogba inconsistent?! Selling Kane and missing out on the increase in value? Bad, bad move. Also, he can EASILY score goals against Liverpool and especially Arsenal at home, and us for that matter.
Pogba has 3 goals and 11 assists in 1222 mins - that's a goal/assist every game on average. Only four players have more points pr. game this season, who knows how it would look if he wasn't injured/suspended.
Hazard on fire? He has only scored in five games this season, two goals in three of those. He has a goal/assist every 112th minute, which is worse than Pogba, but Hazard is way more expensive. You can't say he is on fire and that Pogba is inconsistent mate. Willian isn't a high risk, he is cheap and delivers the goods - but like you say - injured.

Palmieri and Laporte make me worried with Alonso and Stones in my team...

Aubameyang would be interesting at the right price. Hopefully around 10m

Not so sure about that, Arsenal aren't that good anymore and even Lacazette is struggling to get chances. I do believe Auba is a much better finisher and poacher, but he will probably cost 10 or 10.5 - which is still 1M more than let's say Firmino who's an obvious candidate in the bracket behind Kane/Aguero. Won't count in Lukaku, Morata or Laca, as all of them are struggling to score goals this year.

Currently 20.000ish, have been top 10k for most of the season... just messed up a bit over Christmas.
I am lingering around ~500k rank right now.

The problem is that whenever I have had players in the team, they stopped performing. KdB, Hazard, Christensen and so on. Their dips happen the moment I get them in my team.

The team needs rework and I still have the WC available. But now I need to maximize my luck.

Hazard
He'is in great form. Include the cups this month, and he provides almost every week at the moment.
Last 4: 4 goals and 1 assist including the cups. He has an easy schedule and in an advanced / free role position. Lots of involvement too. Everything goes through him.

Pogba
I see your argument about Pogba, but I guess he's not consistent on a game-by-game basis if you look at his last 6 games. Blanked in 4 of those, but then he's very good when he hits that one game every now and then. He's good value, but I'm just not so convinced now that he'll probably play more as a CM than a LMC / AMC.

Kane
It all depends on when you've bought him I guess. I'm keeping him out for 3 games with Aguero the main pointhauler, as I think Firmino is simply a better option for these 3 games. Not saying he wont score against Liverpool and Arsenal, just that others are cheaper and will probably score the same amount in these games, where no one would like to lose and might go a bit defensive. Firmino proved his value last night.

Gross starts in a 5 man midfield. Then I have Kenny, Long, Depoitre.
That's a decent bench, I don't usually have a strong bench so personally would do Long > Niasse or someone cheap save a bit of £ and then Gross > Mhkitaryan/Son/D.Silva

Long is the Burnley defender. (: Can't bring Niasse in for him.
 fair enough, your teams pretty solid similar to mine except that I got rid of Firmino and went
Pickford
Jones - Otamendi - Alonso
Son - Pogba - Sterling - Salah - Lingard
Kane
