Fantasy Football 2017/18

Cheers.

I ended up buying Lingard and Mahrez last night. I couldn't wait as both their prices were about to rise overnight and also Ward and Richarlinson both dropped 0.1, so I had to strike as it would have been a 0.4 swing.

.................Adrian/Elliot
..Christensen - Kenny - Otamendi
Lingard - Salah - Sterling - Mahrez
........Firmino - Morata - Kane

That’s a great team.

If you could get Aguero for Morata I think that would be close to the template right now (given the injury to Jesus).

I’m massively regretting the decision to sell Salah!

Yeah pretty happy with it now. I just need it to have a good run of games, as so far all my good teams keep getting disturbed by injuries/resting. I guess we are all in the same boat though, especially the last couple of weeks which has been a nightmare.

I've brought in Jesse and Jones for Doucoure and Kolasinac because Jones is due to go up. Cue Jones injuring Jesse and himself in training before the next gw

I can smell a personal best.

Laughing at those in my private league that triple Captain Kane... I know he'll smash a brace against West ham though :(

Sold Pogba and KDB for Alli and Son, not a roaring success so far...

Is 2 goals in 2 games a good return for a tc? Not sure it is, especially with no bonus in first game.

Yeah I'd take that. Triple captain is the always the one most down to chance as you're dependent on a single player.

Always expect more from a bench boost on a dgw and likewise this year with free hit replacing the near useless all out attack chip.

Yep TC is pure luck, using it in a double gameweek is just trying to add a bit of logic. You get 2 punts at a player scoring big rather than just the 1.

Realistically the only other DGWs will have the top 4 playing against each other as one of the games so having Spurs play teams 20th and 18th in the league seems a very good option.

Now admittedly I did not do my due diligence on Diafra Sakho. I didn't realise just how far out of the picture he was. But to mark him as injured DURING the game seems a bit unfair.

I like Sakho, shame.

66 with Adrian, Ogbonna, Vertonghen, Eriksen(c) and Kane to go.
That's a very good week considering how unpredictable everything has been.
I'm on 56 with Arnauntovic, Erikson, Ali, Son (c) and Sakho if he rises from the dead still to come.

Feel a bit better about Pogba out for Son now, as I'd originally planned Hazard out.

If Son can get a haul tomorrow it could still just about work out as worth it!

Courtois
Christensen Jones Stones Masuaku
Salah Sterling Lingard Arnautovic
Aguero Kane

Thining of going with that for wild card. Quaner, Long (Burnley) and Loftus Cheek as bench players.

I had a choice between Alonso and Azpi... I picked wrong :(
Atleast you picked one! I even posted in here that Alonso was set and forget material at the start of the season. When I look back at my team at the start of the season I should have just left it alone, too much tinkering!

Played free hit and swapped Alonso for Otamendi, that one backfired.

But others was fine.

Transferred in Eriksen, Alli, Arnautovic for Salah, Dracoure, KdB,
Aguero for Firmino.

Captained Kane, that sort of didn't work. Will be big fail if he won't start against West ham.

Kenny/Holgate instead of Long, imo, if you can. I doubt Long would start many games now that both the Burnley CBs are back and available.

Big balls to remove Salah.

What are peoples thoughts on playing the 2nd WC early, like now while we have cup week break?

Or are you planning to use it in a build up to the last quarter, DGW's etc?

I always freak out and play it early, but it does make sense to hold off (unless your team is in a real state)

I'd wait until at least the January transfers are done and out of the way.

Selling Salah is probably the stupidest thing I’ve done in 6/7 years of FPL.

Bought him at 9.0 and sold him for 9.5 - it’ll cost me at least 10.0 to bring him back.

Season was going really good as well (dipping in and out of the top 15k) so no need to make such a gamble.

Welcome to the club.

Had him at the beginning when he was at 9.0. Saw Klopp rotating and Salah's price fluctuating and sold him at 9.0-9.1 after Mane's RC. Then got him back again at 9.7-9.8, when his blitzkrieg was over. :'(
