Fantasy Football 2017/18

I'm getting the man city lads horribly wrong. Have had aguero when he hasn't played, taken him out and he's scored. Had sterling the week before and he didn't play so took him out and he scored on the weekend. Even took otamendi out the week he scored! Jesus has been there last two weeks and done nothing! only one I've got right is Silva and I've just left him from the start.

Might just stick Aguero back in this week and leave him. He's still the main man and isn't going to miss many games due to rotation.

Just stick with players despite the rotation and have an active bench.

Yeah, dunno why people keep freaking out about City players. You just have to leave them in

Sooo Kane and Sane...are they gonna go up before the weekend? I'm gonna end up having to lose some points again anyway aren't I? I was hoping Sane in for my ft, and Kane not back for at least another week. Wanna get them before they both go up though.

There's a decent chance of Kane making the points up this weekend anyway...or him being rested in a easy game.

I want Kane in for Jesus but I'm tired of making bad transfers. This potentially looks like another one to me so I'll try my best not to make any transfers this week despite having both Jesus and Davies.

I think Kane will play but not with full intensity. Llorente looked terrible when he came on, so if Poch does rest Kane, it will be Son in his place.

EDIT: Alderweireld might be out (hamstring). Does it improve Davies chances (has played in back three)? Probably not since Dier is preferred, but another uncertainty..

Interesting points, cheers.

Also, looking at Chelsea's defence just there, I might be wise to leave Lukaku in.

Too risky missing out on Kane. Spurs are playing Crystal Palace after all. Also, I'm pretty sure Aguero will start against Arsenal. The only question is if Jesus will start alongside him. I think Dier will play as the third CB as Dembele is back and Rose will play LWB. Lots of tough decisions this week!

Kane's price will rise tonight. Sane by the end of the week. If you want to bring them in, now is the time.

Thanks for the heads up.

Can't decide whether to bring just one in now, then the other for the extra .1 at the weekend, or do both now for a -8 :(

Only way for me to bring in Kane is to take out either Jesus or Kun. Gonna wait get him later. Have money in the bank so can afford for him to go up in price.

Edit: right after posting that I went and bought him for Jesus

Sane went up to £8.8m over night. Be funny if he doesn't start this weekend.

Right now I've still got a £0.2m buffer to do Silva & Cedric to Sane & Moreno so I will probably hold and have 2 free transfers after this gw. You just know someone is gonna get crippled during the international break.

I have Lukaku and Jesus up top currently. I really want to save my transfer and have two going into the break however most guys in my league have Kane and will be captaining him. Can I risk not bringing him for a home game Palace? It seems like a no brainer but at the back of my mind something tells me they might game raise for this one.

Current team

-----------Elliot / Foster
--- Ward - Otamendi - Jones
Richarlison - Salah - Sane - Ritchie
---Aguero - Morata - Kane(C)

Terrific team. How many points do you have? With this team, somewhere above 600 I'm guessing :)

Or he starts, scores good points as he has been doing for the last 4/5 weeks, and goes up to 8.9/9.0 over the break :)

Gah stop it! I'm hovering over the transfer button now, especially as David Silva is looking close to another drop. My £0.2m buffer is screwed if both him and Cedric drop / Sane rises again.

Don't do it! Silva is gonna play, that's for sure. What more do you want? Forget the buffer, ten points for Silva and you can enjoy watching him rise for two weeks.

If you can get Kane for Jesus, do it unless you don't want Kane long-term. For long-term, even a hit is justified. Captaincy is a different issue and I myself am thinking of not captaining Kane.

I finally got this front three this week after trying for weeks. Problem is, Lukaku next GW. Will you stay with them or get Rom?

Nice team btw. Mine's similar but more of a 4-3-3 (Naughton, Ramsey).

Basically Kane or aguero captain is my main decision this week. Am leaning towards Aguero, I have a feeling city are gonna have a field day against Arsenal. Kane at home to Palace though....

If Kane is 99% he might be benched for Llorente, that’s the problem....

Great team mate - similar to mine:

-------------- Elliot -----------
---- Kolasinac - Stones - Jones -----
Richarlison - Salah - Sterling - Gross
---- Aguero - Morata - Kane ----

1 FT and 0.6 in the Bank

Any suggestions for this team?

I'm thinking of getting Alli in as he's probably the lowest price he'll be all season right now - that would mean getting rid of Sterling and downgrading Kolasinac slightly (which I am happy to do given Arsenal's fixtures).

Too late. I'm a weak man. Silva will definitely have a stormer against Arsenal now.

Team for the weekend...
-------------Elliot-----------
--Jones---Naughton---Moreno
Richarlison-Salah-Sterling-Sane
--Aguero---Kane---Abraham

subs: Foster, Alonso, Mee, Surman

£0.2m in the bank

I only have 550. Last week was my worst week in 5 years of play, as I only got 37 points and that really set me back :(

Cheers. Just hope injuries stop ruining the momentum.

My plan is to get Lukaku back in for Aguero, as soon as Lukaku gets his next goal and ends this current drought. Newcastle, Brighton and Watford are nice fixturers for Lukaku.
I like to have cover for all top teams, so Sane will be my City cover and Lukaku my United cover.

Great team man. Alli would be decent choice, but I don't really like having two big hitters from the same team (Alli and Kane).
I would have a close look at Zaha, as his fixtures are great after this week for the next 8 weeks, he has scored 17 in the last 3 weeks, and that would leave you with 2.0m to upgrade Gross.

Elliott (Foster), Otamendi, Jones, Verthongen, Mee, Salah, Eriksen, Sane, Richarlison, Jesus and Kane. Total points: 621 after a horrible round last week, otherwise pretty solid. I have not made a single deductable transfer until today, when I sold Silva to get Sane. Probably a stupid trade short-term, but I lead by 50+ points in my main league so what the heck.

Kane as the captain now, anyone heard of him being rested or not? This could have been a triple captain-week, but not after an injury and CL-game midweek.

Will get Pogba (or even Martial) back in the team for Richarlison soon, Mané for Salah, as well as Morata for Jesus who can’t be trusted to play. Skipping Hazard, Sanchez and de Bruyne for the rest of the season most likely.

------------------Elliot---------------------
--Cedric-----Otamendi-----Ward---------
--Richarlson--Sane---Gross--Salah-----
---Aguero-----Kane-----Vardy------------

Bench: Speroni, Femenia, Loftus Cheek, Mbemba

Transferred in Kane(c) for Lacazette.

1.3m ITB which I will use for either Jones or Zaha next GW.

Thoughts on making Alli captain ? Right now have it on Kane but have a feeling that Alli is probably going to outscore him this weekend.

I'd stick with Kane - Besides Madrid, Alli's been underperforming this season.

Not sure about this logic. I hear about it all the time on Reddit's FPL sub but disagree it's a bad thing. I use deductable transfers almost every week and I'm currently 5th in the Redcafe League (down from 3rd last week when I didn't make one). Maybe I just like risks.

I read a while ago that it's better to ride the price changes than worry about minus points early on. I've got over 103m in the bank now which I'm pretty happy about. Had a few transfers that have cost me points but gonna settle now and use the free transfers to finish getting my team where I want. I went a bit too far last year and it cost me my main league.

Cheers. Yeah there is nothing too much wrong with it right now.. although I kind of look at it and I'm not too sure about Kolasinac (fixtures) and Sterling (purely rotation risk) but both have been scoring well.

Gross for me is a steal at his price, I picked him up at 5.5m and he's got me an assist in 4 of the last 6 weeks. Seems almost essential to keep him at that price to points ratio.

Having said that do you think this is ultimately a better combination - Gross, Richarlison, Kolasinac > Loftus-Cheek, Deli Ali, Moreno

Your mid consists of Sterling who isn't nailed.

What's your bench look like?
