Fantasy Football 2017/18

Transferred out Lukaku Mkhi for Jesus (c) and Sane. Saved me from an absolutely dire GW. Sitting on 52 pts with Michael Keane and Ben Foster to play.

Poor start to my wildcarded team. Just 40 points with only Vardy and Elliott left to play. After getting 80 points in the last 2 consecutive weeks it hurts a bit.

Kane captain was an absolute dog, as was Ben Davies not playing, but the rest of the wildcard team went decently. Certainly a lot better than most teams round me in the work league.

Jesus/Sterling were essential. The best of what seemed to be every City mid and striker getting into some points!
Eriksen goal.
Tom Carroll chose this week to get his first assist and bonus in 8 weeks!
Richarlison assist
De Gea 9 pointer with bonuses added. And to think I had a late wobble about changing him to Ederson at about 11.25

Simpson for Leicester, and Mpemba away at Southampton to come. See if they add to the 69pointer so far(once bonuses are added)

Kane is just too costly. There is one at Swansea which you can get at a cheap price and he scored two today

It's a game of averages. He'll score 2 a couple of times and it'll really cost you to not have him.

That Swansea chap had 2 in 7 before today, and they're a poor team. But well done to anyone who brought him in this week. Ballzy.
Got my 2 goal striker, but had to pay almost double!

Had a decent week, 56 points. Midfield was on fire with Silva, Eriksen and Carroll getting 26 points. Jones with another clean Sheet, think he is an essential defender now at only 5.2...United have only conceded two goals and that was in one game!

I need to change my GK, Elliot and Foster is not great but it just seems like such a low priority. Also replace one of my 4.0 defenders with a 4.5 just to have some cover on the bench.

Keeping my eye on the CL fixtures this week, if Silva doesn't play I may captain him against Burnley.

Already used by free transfer this gw, but I have Davies at the back. He's on 75% chance of playing (illness), but also has Liverpool and us the next two games. Reckon I should take the 4 point hit?
Annoyingly, I'm 0.1 off Azpilicueta. Might go with Otamendi

Yes same, i'm looking at the fixtures and it's L'pool(a), United(a), Palace (h) and then Arsenal (a). Realistically it's maybe only 1 clean sheet in there against palace? The other 3 will be a bit open, I would predict both teams scoring in all of them.

Switch from Davies > Otamendi ?

I'm thinking that's the best option. City have the best run out of the players I'm looking at.
In fact, they have a kind run until Feb.

I am maybe selling Davies because of his injuries and habit of being rested/switched with Son. Tottenham have a few tough games coming up as well, but can always go back and pick Trippier at a lower price in a few weeks to have a Spurs-player at the back. They can probably keep a clean sheet vs. Pool though

Which defender should be brought in at around 5.7? Was thinking about Monreal now that Arsenal play Everton (a) and Swansea (h) - then selling him again before they play City and Spurs.

I am on 517 points overall

Otamendi is exactly 5.7.
Burnley
West Brom
Arsenal (Home)
Leicester
Hudd
Southampton
West Ham
Us (tough patch for 3 games then back to an easy run until April)

Kane or Lukaku for captain is tough. We have the easier fixture, but Spurs are in form and Liverpool are shite.

Ah my mistake, I already have Otamendi and Jones in my team. Salah+Davies out could give me Luiz+Coutinho

Thinking of Jesus as captain, but he played 80+ minutes yesterday and Aguero might start if fit. Think Sterling and Sane will definitely keep on going.... Kane is also capable of a hat-trick against Liverpool

Ok, you've both confirmed my thoughts to be honest. So Lukaku hattrick incoming

I have Lukaku Kane and Jesus as front 3. Decided to keep Lukaku as captain. Kane is yet to score a PL goal at Wembley and Jesus may get rested after having played 80 minutes yesterday. Lukaku is a known flat track bully and fancy him to score at least 1 against Huddersfield

Liverpool's defensive weakness in big games is a misconception, even more so against Spurs. Klopp is unbeaten against Spurs so far, and has never conceded more than one goal. If I remember correctly, Kane has scored only once since Klopp's arrival as well.

I actually think Kane is reaching a point where he needs to be rested/dropped or at least play Llorente alongside him to share goal-scoring responsibility. Either way he won't be getting a double-digit score imo.

Spurs at home. No brainer for me.

I hate you all
but thanks

Depending on what happens tonight, I'll probably play it safe and captain Lukaku. Huddersfield away should be a comfortable win for us. It's really tempting to captain D.Silva, it's probably irrational but I'm predicting a goal and assist for him against Burnley

Put the armband on Lukaku and thank us later. We can cry together here if he blanks ;)

I've changed it back to Lukaku.

My sanity is on the line now.

I have Kane, Lukaku, Morata, Sterling, Sane and Silva in my team. Who should I captain? On paper, United have the easiest game but the rest of the teams are playing at home. Right now, my intention is to captain Sterling. Thoughts?

Bloody hell how have you managed that?

I'm a bit wary of captaining City this week with Aguero being back and the CL game. However Sterling played 70 mins and was subbed off so I would think he will start, Sane might be dropped as he played the whole game.

Hi guys, can I get some advise?
I am playing an internal league at work and I am struggling.

De Gea

Lascelles - Bellerin - Lowe

Mooy - Mkhitaryan - Sane - Kante

Jesus - Lukaku - Kane

Subs: Obiang, Mbemba, Ranger, Foster (GK)

What would you do in my team?

Many thanks!

Mkhi-> Silva,
Mooy-> Gross,
remove Kante for some 4.5m midfielder who consistently plays( someone like Romeu).
Bellerin our for some cheaper defender from a major team.
Foster out for Pope/Elliot. The funds freed can be used to upgrade one of the higher priced midfielders to Eriksen/Salah.
Lowe has some difficult fixtures I think
There is no point having Lascelles and Mbemba as a tough Newcastle game would force you to play one of them in most likelihood.
And maybe change Obiang to some other defender as WHU dont keep a lot of CS

Finally able to roll a transfer this week. Will almost certainly shift Mkhi as one of them after the Huddersfield game. He's gone right off the boil.

Elliot
Alonso Naughton Jones
Ricthie Mkihtaryan Silva Sterling
Abraham Lukaku (c) Kane
subs: Cedric Surman Mee Foster

plenty in the bank

City vs Burnley might be closer than we expect. Burnley are good at parking the bus and certainly not as naive as Stoke. The score was 2-1 City both times last season.

So for me it's Lukaku>City>Kane>Morata

Thought I'd check if anyone got injured in the CL....Chicharito on 75%! Useless get
