Fantasy Football 2015/2016

Yep and three of mine will probably be played as Strikers. I've not put Depay in, as not to sure how he'll settling into the league, but he's a midfielder who will be played as a forward. If Pedro comes, i may have to shoe horn him in after this game week.

My team is just full of assists and goals, iv'e put no center backs either in. Just right and left backs who had high assist/goal rates.

TBH good CB tend to outscore fullbacks probably due to bonus points.

These new "Chips" should create a lot more variables. Closing point gaps will be a lot easier you'd imagine. I can see most leagues being turned upside down if timed right.

I reckon fantasy teams will be more varied this year than previously, despite the remorseless rise of advice websites. Firstly the FPL have got their prices spot on, they don't seem to have missed a single over-cheap defender or keeper. Secondly many of the big names have question marks, Aguero and Sanchez are late starters, Costa and Sturridge injured, and Rooney off-form. Arsenal have fantastic midfielders, but too many to all play regularly, good luck with that one. United's midfielders might not be as good, but equally might not play. Mata and Herrera anyone? And there is so much money in the premier league that even lowly and newly-promoted clubs can buy some of the best talent available in France and elsewhere. As Monty Python said, my brain hurts.

He's so bloody expensive. Don't think he's worth 2.5m more than Fabregas.
I have both.

Have made about 9 changes since I last posted here. Going to kick myself a lot over the course of this season.

That's the case with everyone. Pretty sure the players that I have removed at the last moment would be scoring points in the first few weeks.

I've changed it 3 times today. Rooney, Kane, Giroud, Silva, Clyne have all been in and out.

I think Rooney can be a goldmine this season. With the potential signing of Pedro, supported by Memphis and an improved midfield, I think he can get us some goals up front like in 2009/2010. Expecting 25-28 league goals if he can stay fit.

Is Bolasie fit? Would be a smart pick considering his form last season? Looking for some cheap attacking midfielders. Carrick only costs 5 at the moment, he's a guaranteed start when fit.

As good as he was last season, I'm still not convinced he justifies that price tag.
I still think he's worth it. MFs get a lot of points for goals and also get a point if a clean sheet is kept, which Chelsea will probably do a lot.

Good option for the bench, but for 5.0m your honestly better off with someone like Scott Sinclair who's got a much better chance of bagging some goals and assists.

Is he a guaranteed starter atm? Might go for that instead alright.

Carrick is possibly one of the worst picks going. Injured a lot, rarely scores or assists and not absolutely guaranteed to start now we have Schweinsteiger.

Would have thought so, one of the only attacking players they've got match fit I think and he scored a hatrick in preseason not long ago. He's a new signing as well and Sherwood normally gets the best out of attackers.

Might take a gamble on him, thanks for the tip anyway.

Ok I've made like 15 changes in the past two days. The line-up currently. Going top heavy

Team name: Kafanchor11
-----------------Courtois------------------
Shaw-- Mertesacker--Azpilicueta--Clyne
--------Depay--Sterling--Walcott---------
Benteke-----------Rooney-----------Kane

Hennessey, Wanyama, Bentaleb, Mariappa

Could not afford Hazard in this. Might still go for Fabregas over maybe Walcott. Hell I might even make like 10 changes before the start

I'm gonna sound like an idiot for asking this but...how can I post the image of my team on here?

Anyway I'm having a tough choice deciding between 2 options, anyone got an idea about which of the 2 might work out the best?

A)
Pantilimon (Hennessey)
Ivanovič Koscielny Cedric (Francis Baker)
Hazard Sterling Puncheon Depay (Wanyama)
Benteke Rooney Wilson

(99.5m spent)

B)
Courtois (Hennessey)
O'Shea Koscielny Cedric (Francis Baker)
Hazard Sterling Cazorla Depay (Wanyama)
Benteke Rooney Wilson

(100m spent)

I think I'd prefer A. Better defence and I still have questions marks whethere Walcott will start every game with Giroud competing with him.

Will have one final crack at my tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah that was my first option, however I just don't feel that confident in Puncheon. If I let's say, choose option B for example, I'd be able to get either one of Walcott/Ozil/Ramsey/Cazorla in, which I kinda feel I'm lacking in option A (I really feel like I should invest in an Arsenal midfielder/attacker), plus it might turn out to be more useful when Aguero comes back and I need to find a way to get him in.
Cheers for the input .

Edit: Changed option B from Walcott to Cazorla so I can keep Koscielny and it's basicaly a matter of picking Courtois/O'Shea/Cazorla or Pantilimon/Ivanovič/Puncheon with 0.5m in the bank cause I can't seem to put it anywhere else to good use. (No midfielder worth 6.5m is a better option than Puncheon (Bolasie's injured), no striker worth 6m is a better option than Wilson, seems a waste to upgrade Wanyama just to sit on the bench, and the same goes for Baker.)

Dropped option C alltogether.

I was wondering the same myself

Does anyone know how to post the images from Fantasy Football here?

Yea pretty sure they are just screen shots.

Is there a head to head league going too?

Finally! :)

Fairly happy with this so far, mulling over 1 or 2 changes. Sterling & Silva are other options I'm considering. Might overload the MF for now until Costa or Aguero are back.

I'm undecided on Depay. Currently have him on my team but not sure whether he justifies that price tag, depends on whether he starts off strong. Would another midfielder be a better bet for a similar price like Eriksen?

Am I the only one not too keen on Depay? Unproven in the league, think Mata will provide more points early on in the season.

If not Depay, Ozil is probably the ideal replacement. Ozil will be playing in his preferred #10 position. Has had a very good pre season too.

For 8.5 you are better off playing either Ozil who will finally be Arsenal's No.10 or Cazorla who takes penalties for Arsenal and chips in with a fair few assists and goals. For slightly cheaper, you can get Sigurdson for 7.5 and he is usually at the heart of all things good at Swansea. Eriksen is a decent shout but you never know how well Spurs will do, especially as they will most likely start the season with one striker. Henderson could be a good shout at only 7 as he takes corners freekicks and penalties, only downside is that he's a dumb shit but otherwise a great buy.

No United player is worth the money because you never know who will play (this excludes Rooney, Shaw and Darmian)

I've had to fight the United fan in me wanting to get him. I make this mistake every season by buying fresh signings and they always disappoint. I'm playing it safe for at least the first week or 2 with proven PL players and then I'll use the wildcard if I need to.

for safety sure ozil is better, but don't forget Depay has excellent free kicks and will most likely be given FK duty from the get go. Depay is a dead cert to start on Saturday and probably the foreseeable future

It's a tough call.

as exciting as the line-up looks like not having Hazard is a huge mistake. Also no need to double on Chelsea defense I'd say, with new BP system you have got 4.5 goalkeepers who will make loads of saves which means points in the end as well. Spent less on defense and boost your fourth midfielder. Bentaleb is a great sub pick..

Mine is btw:
Kasper
Azpi-Shaw-Mings
Hendo-Haz-Ramsey-Ritchie
Kane-Rooney-Lukaku

SUBS: Hennesey, Sheasy,Targett,Bentaleb
1.5 ITB

I wanted to start with Costa, but he is doubtful with hamstring but so is Lukaku now who I probably change for one of Pelle/Benteke, I would change him after gameweek two anyway so I may save some substitution with Pelle, their first five fixtures are awesome. And also considering Azpi to 4.5def and Ritchie to Sterling but I believe they will attack a lot Borunemouth and their fixtures are also good apart the Anfield trip

Think Pelle is a good choice. Not sure I'd get in Sterling though, their first few fixtures aren't amazing. Think I'll just wait until Aguero is back.

Not crazy on Targett given Bertrand will be back in a few weeks.

Yaya at 8.5m with less than 5% of ownership looks to be a good shout. Even last year in a poor season he still managed 10 goals and an assist plus you'd expect him and City to be better than last year and he'll be on free kicks + pens (whenever Aguero's out).

Pretty certain that'll be my team now, hopeful that Ritchie (or Gradel at the same price) and Deeney will make the step up and probably a big risk to not include Hazard especially as half the teams in the game have him but Fabregas was brilliant first half of last season and that extra 2.5m goes a long way towards improving the team.
