thinking about taking a 4 point hit to bring in Payet for Coutinho...although I did promise myself that this year I wouldn't be so prone to taking a hit so often that often ended up in regret.

I think -4 points is acceptable. I done the same. If payet outperforms coutinho and makes up the point deficit then it will be worth it.
Coutinho himself has a great fixture, so I'd wait a week then do it for free.
As a one-off decision it could pay off, but in the long term if you keep making moves like that you're just giving away points.
Not worth it.
Who to bring in - Payet at 7.8 or Sako at 5.6?
Might bring Depay in for this weekend. Nice home game against a struggling team to get some points and transfer his CL form to the PL. Currently 12th place so well pleased with that (if only I'd picked Ighalo instead of Deeney!)...

I've captained Payet this week, which means he should get around 2 points.
I've just bought him too, so you're getting 2 points after it's doubled for captaincy at best.

so...the players I think about putting in but decide not to are the ones scoring points, while the ones I do transfer in tend to put in blanks for me...why?

I am glad my patient with him finally paid off. Once again, my initial intuition was captaining Sanchez, but I changed to Martial because Sunderland is such a shite team. So, my week will most likely be average again. Sometimes, logic does not work in fantasy football and you would have to think outside the box for major success. I hope my patient with Aguero will pay off aswell...

Swapped Wilson for Vardy already. Wilson's injury looks grim (god knows why the physio let him back on to collapse again). Vardy's price will rocket now.

As soon as I wildcard my cheapest attacker gets injured. I also had both Wilson and Shaw in the draft. Sucks. Now I have to replace Wilson with 5.9 or less. Main candidates are Bojan, Perez, Ighalo and Defoe. Glenn Murray is an option as he'll probably always start for Bournemouth now. Watching Palace playing Watford at the moment and Gayle starts alone up top. Worth a punt?

Best week so far, 53 with Barkley to play. Transferring out Gomis for Vardy I think which should free up some cash to improve the defence.
One question. I had Silva and McCarthy in team and both didn't played. Will both be substituted or just one?

Needless to say I'm battering my friends in our private league at the moment, and I'm very much enjoying giving them all sorts of hell for it

I've not played cards either. Ideally i'd like to wait for double game week(s) but there are a few players i'd like to replace and a couple more i'm uncertain of. Having Memphis finally paid off this week, he was captain to. Tadic, Mahrez and Alderweireld have been my best players i think. Aguero, Kane, and Berahino have been disappointing but i'll prob keep them anyway. I also have Silva.. Memphis might get the boot.
