Fantasy Football 2015/2016

I'm surprised that the FPL average is 32. Why isn't it higher than that?

Probably becuse all the big-hitters failed so most people didnt hit their captain. 32 points is the total before tonights game too, and the autosub points. I guess it will be around 40 after that.

46 points for me. Really do want to use my wildcard this week, especially to bring in Sergio considering they have Watford at home on the weekend. Feel it would be more sensible to wait another week though.

Benteke better score against Cech, else I'll be annoyed at having Cech on the bench for Stekelenburg.
Benteke...

I was so well-set to get a good return out of that, but he couldn't find the net! And Cech got tons of points out of that first half alone...

I did alright. Up to 8th on the RedCafe league! Thank you Wilson!!!

64 this week. Thought I'd had a terrible start but actually doing ok.

One of my mates has played his wildcard and one of his bench power play things already. Fool.

After Adrián last week yet another red card thanks to a certain John Terry this week.

Had two free transfers and brought in Kompany for Terry and Mahrez for Kouyaté. I just hope Rooney, Kane and Benteke will hit the ground running next week.

Rooney is expensive and we're away at Swans @ 0.5 more you can get Costa. You should think about working him in maybe

60 points, 28th in the caf league. Thank goodness for the subs, I was kicking myself for leaving Mertesacker in there. Gomez and Clyne both delivered, 6 pts each.

For the previous couple of years I've usually had terrible starts but managed to wrestle it back and do pretty well.

Actually started well this year. 32nd in Caf league, 3rd in my work league and 2nd in my group of mates. I fecking hate this game, ruins football for me, but I still play it every year.

I'm doing alright considering I've played a few transfers that has resulted me in getting -4/-8/-12. I'd be top 40 at least if I actually played the wildcard correctly.

Rooney has finally gone now so I actually have a decent strikeforce ahead of the next gameweek.

What's your strikeforce out of interest?

I have two transfers to use, and mine is currently Rooney, Sakho and Wilson (although he was on the bench for the last round-gutted!). Think I'm definetly going to sack Sakho because of the arrest thing, and Rooney has to go for obvious reasons. Not sure whether to go for two average but in good form (e.g. Gomis, Diouf, Defoe) or one expensive one (Costa, Benteke...maybe even Aguero) and a shit one.

Might even persist with Rooney for one more week and swap Ozil for Sterling.

Well for the past few weeks I've had Deeney, Rooney and Jerome ( not a lot of goals there at all!). So for the first time now, I have Aguero, Gomis and Deeney. Going to try and move stuff about over the next few weeks to upgrade Deeney. My midfield is looking healthy with Toure, Mahrez, Albrighton, Sanchez and Cabaye. Will probably keep the Leicester lads until they begin to struggle but they don't look like doing so yet. My defence could get cheaper so that will help in getting a better attacker instead of Deeney. For example, I reckon I could get rid of Ivanovic soon - Chelsea's defence looks awful and he's been a shadow of his former self. He'll probably get going again, but for 7.0 (I think) I could get a cheaper alternative.

Wildcard played this week.

Aguero, Silva, Kolarov, Pedro, Sanchez, Mahrez all in so expecting a big improvement this week.

Still unsure whether to go which of these 3 to go with : Toure / Silva / Hazard / Pedro / Sanchez, even considering Coutinho

I've got Papiss Cisse in my fantasy team squad. Not playing today and I'm reading he might be on his way to Gala. I wanted to get rid asap anyway but if he does go, does that technically give me a free transfer?
Nah, he'll just stay as a dud player that never starts until you sell him.

Despite playing my wildcard I look set to have another poor week.Shaw and Gomis got some points but I left fecking Mahrez on the bench while Depay, Cabaye and Payet did feck all.Need a good return from Benteke,Ozil and captain Aguero.
Same here.

The start of the season has been strange with both big teams faltering in unexpected ways and the usual source of goals and assists shifting within teams. For instance, Mahrez is in unbelievable form so far, but was nothing special even towards the end of last season.

My boss at work had Courtois in the first week, then replaced him with Adrian in the second week, both of whom got sent off. He then got angry and played his wildcard, subbing out Wilson, Azpilicueta and Kolarov and bought on Terry, Benteke and Koscielny

Same damned thing happened to me as well with the goalkeepers. I just used my wildcard and got a completely new team.

My team now:-
GKs: Myhill / Gomes
Def: Cresswell / Richards / Cylne / Darmian / Ward
Mid: Koyute / Mahrez / Yaya Toure / Silva / Morrison
Att: Costa / Augero / Wilson.

Thinking about using the all out attack or sub points card as well this week.

I don't think you can play the bonus cards in the same week as wild card

Tempted to stick with Rooney a little while longer after last night.

Many people still got Hazard in? I'm sure he'll come good, just not sure how soon.

In a way I'm glad I transferred Rooney out before last nights match. I'd be scratching my chin big time thinking about Aguero or Rooney. Decision has already been made for me now. City have the easiest games for a bit.

I persevered with Rooney as my captain all this while. Lost patience with him and hazard. Shifted them out for Pedro and Aguero.

In my eyes, it's almost a win win. Say he goes on an insane run now, then although our FFT will suffer at least United should/will be doing well.

Yes, plus you are hardly going to go wrong with Aguero as your captain in FFT

Took a 4 point hit this week to get my two transfers in.

Clyne out for Gomez who is set to rise in price soon and gives me defensive cover for Pools easier fixtures - otherwise he'll probably be my first sub.

Then with that saving I've gone Depay to Pedro - gives me some Chelsea offense on the board which is what you want at this stage of the season. Sick of Depay always letting me down.

Does Gomez play at LB at the moment? In which case, why isn't Moreno starting? Surely it's only a matter of time given how much they spent on Moreno only last Summer?

I assume the idea is to free up Clyne on the other side and provide extra cover to Lovren, because Moreno isn't a great defender like Gomez seems to be. He's only a kid though so the smart move would be to give him a rest at some point

Gomez has been excellent and at the moment shouldn't be getting dropped for Moreno who is much weaker defensively. I had a quick scout on rawk to get the lowdown and apparently he can play across the backline, with some even suggesting he can play in defensive midfield - no one was expecting him to lose his place from what I can see.

He's set to rise in price tonight again so hopefully that will continue and we can sell him for a profit anyway if he ever gets dropped. Not that fussed in truth long term as it's only a cheap defender, at the moment he's raking in the points and more importantly frees up funds for El Pedro.

Fair enough. Will probably do it after United vs Liverpool next week.

Moreno is getting sub appearances as a left winger. The LB spot is Gomez' to lose.

I'm happy I didn't. Hoping Rooney will go back up to his original price. That 0,2 Rooney-Aguero price swing was really annoying.

if you had Darmian, Kompany, Richards, Gomez and Targett as your backline, which 3 would you play and which 2 would you bench?
leaning towards Darmian, Kompany and Richards since United & City have yet to concede and Villa have Sunderland at home. However Southampton are also hosting Norwich (aside from the poor start this season they have had reliable defensive records for the past 2-3 seasons and have managed to keep a clean sheet the previous week), and Pool have the Hammers at home (and have also yet to concede)

Kompany definitely, then probably Gomez. Toss up between the other 3 cause Swansea will be a threat to us, Southampton yet to find any sort of form and Villa are.. well.. Villa. I'd go with Darmian.
